The food is pretty good. I have no complaints about the food. But it seems if you go in and they are not busy, you wont get helped unless you are sitting at the bar. There have been a couple occasions that I went in and sat down by the back door and i waited and waited but no one ever came to take my order. I got up and looked around to see no one. Someone came out of the kitchen a few times but still no one came to take my order. This has happened on a couple occasions one time I was about to leave and someone came, but the other times I just walked out and went elsewhere. If you eat at the bar, im sure service is better.

Shitty pub bartender came raging asking for tip when he’s making 16 $ for 5 bottle crying he doesn’t make money cause of 8 percent sales tax. I for one will never go again. Rude and disrespectful. All he did was pop open bottle didn’t bring us the beer we carry it ourselves and he expect a tip. He lost 10 customer.

Had lunch today with a friend. I had the sliders and French Fries. The French fries were really good and the ranch was great! One of my favorite ranch dressings I have had in a restaurant. The sliders were you standard. The service was excellent. Our server was on top of things and super nice! Pricing was great for what we ordered. I’d like to return and try some of the other dishes and drinks that they offer. The atmosphere was very chill.

Has a great patio off the back, service was attentive. However, the burgers were very dry and bland. Not sure how anything else is off the menu, but will be going to the Shamrock for a burger next time.

One positive– Great prices on food and not too shabby for a casual meal. Three negatives– they allow smoking on their patio!!! Didn’t even know this was legal! Either way, they allow patrons to smoke in certain corners of their patio. We asked the staff and the confirmed they allow it. I know they used to allow smoking everywhere but that was then and this is now. And now, smelling cigarettes while eating is disgusting. Very buggy. Not their fault but maybe could do more with tiki torches to keep Mosquitos away. Very rude hostess(or person who sat us– could’ve been a server). We asked if we could sit outside and she LITERALLY rolled her eyes and said ‘I guess’ with a sigh. I wish I was exaggerating. Younger girl, doesn’t understand restaurant customer service. Or maybe a bad day. I get it. (That being said, I know the know the owner knows and appreciates good customer service and high end places and should expect the same service levels out of his employees –even though I understand this isn’t Birmingham– it costs nothing to get greeted by a welcoming smile. Regardless of price of food, good customer service is ALWAYS expected)

This is an average sports bar masquerading as an Irish Pub. No Guiness on tap served here! So, if you’re interested in going to an Irish pub and you’re in the Utica area, do yourself a favor and go to Shamrock Irish Pub across the street.

I came here for dinner with my boyfriend because we had a coupon. The waitress we had wasn’t that great. She seemed to talk to her other two tables more than coming to us. We ordered a sampler platter is which the tacos were those mini frozen ones you buy at any super market but they were the best part of that platter. We then each had a burger which was a bad idea since it didn’t taste good and both of our stomachs are not handling it too well. Over all it will be the last time we go unless it’s for drinks which I still highly doubt.

Well we went here for lunch today around 3:00, we were the only ones there the whole time. But it was very cute inside, the food was very good for a resteraunt/bar in walking distance. Would have loved to sit outside had it been warmer, I felt bad for the waitress that we were the only ones so as I was about to leave a $ 5 tip I give her the money for the bill after someone had chased her down, she asked if I wanted the change it was 12 cents so I said no. And as we were about to leave she stomps over to me and puts the 12 cents on the table and says«here’s your 12 cents back» As if that was all I was about to tip her, I just put 2 dollars down, with the 12 cents and left. If It wasn’t for that it probably would have been five stars.

This place is great if you’re looking for a good neighborhood bar that has a personable staff! They have one of the best patios in the area during the summer if you’re in the area and looking for a nice night outside in a bar setting! Good prices as well! It’ll definitely be missed now that I’ve moved but I’m sure we’ll pay a visit if we are out that way sometime.

It won’t win any awards for class or style, but it is what it is… A good, hole-in-the-wall, with good food, good entertainment, and cheep drinks. You can’t ask for much more than that out of a place like this. I prefer it to Hatchey’s.

Variety is the spice of life. So is a good pizza. My lunchee buddy from work and I thought we’d try a different place. We ventured into this pub at about 11:20. They open at 11:00. There weren’t any other patrons there yet. They had some lunch specials. I ordered the pizza lunch special. Two items for $ 5.99. It’s a twelve inch round(medium size). It wasn’t great, not bad. The sauce was a little tangy. Probably needed something sweet in it to kill the acid a little. There was more cheese than I had expected. The crust was a little thinner than I like as the slice dripped off some of the sausage and peperoni when I was applying it to my mouth. I have had better bar pizza. The whole time we were there I think only one other person came in. Not a huge lunch crowd. That’s good and bad. Good you get out faster, bad because people must not like this place for lunch. Nice looking interior decorations. Looks like a nice place to stop after work and drop a few beers and pizza. I’d give his place another chance. Maybe next time. The service was good, as there weren’t many patrons. Personalized service.

The best part about this place is easily the atmosphere. My boyfriend and I have been to Muldoon’s a few times, since it’s just down the street and we can easily walk there. They have indoor/outdoor seating, and the entire place is pretty low key, which I love. They have your typical beer and selection of mixed drinks, all at a fair price. I usually get a cosmo and he gets whichever beer he’s into at the time. The one thing I didn’t care for was the food. Bar food is bar food in my opinion, but theirs is particularly greasy and well, gross. The worst item I had there was something they had similar to a philly. Yeah. Don’t get that.

Decent beer selection(not microbrews, but all the regular goodies… High Life, PBR, Sam Adams… That is all I need in life, anyway.) They do get a new monthly beer too, and it is often a nicer domestic. The food is hit or miss depending on what you order, but pizza, nachos, and anything fried is great. This place is loaded with regulars… It’s pretty low key, they play music from the 70’s-90’s on some nights which tickles my fancy(Ace of Base was paying last time I was there). Muldoon’s is worth a visit!

Went here before going to Kart 2 Kart to get some food. Basically this was the only place in Utica that i could find with a parking lot. The service was quick but the food wasn’t so good. Come on a quesadilla is pretty easy to make.

We went here for a night out and wanted to get drinks and appetizers. We were disappointed in their offerings… only thing for appetizers was fried food. Beer prices are ok, and the girls were dressed in the fashion of a «college» bar. Ok if you’re into that thing: we weren’t.

If you havent spent a night at Doon’s, you need to! I always have a great time! in the summer and fall you can go out on their huge patio and sit by one of their two fireplaces, drink a 2 dollar high life or one of their other many drinks on special, and hang out with all of your friends. GOODTIMES! :)

I love irish pubs so I was happy that Muldoon’s opened in place of Cactus Jacks. This new location is at least a lil’ bigger than the one in Auburn Hills. The place has a patio that is covered and heated for this time of year. They have karaōke and live music. There is a full menu with your average pub food choices and there is an after hours menu too. I took advantage of the after hours menu and ordered a chicken tender appetizer to compliment my beer! All I have to say is that Muldoon’s can fry up some delicious tenders! The batter consistency was not very greasy, thick, crispy and tasted like broasted style chicken. These tenders really hit the drunk spot. Muldoon’s also has pool tables and flat screens all around so it’s a great pub to watch a game or gather with friends. The staff is attentive and the prices are decent for both food and drinks!
