Three of us had a late breakfast here on Sunday morning. The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is how hot and smokey it is. It’s like there’s a layer of smoke hanging in the air like fog. The second thing you notice is the owner(I guess that’s who he is) riding around the dining area in his electric scooter that doesn’t work. How does he do that(you might ask)? Elementary my dear Watson; he uses his good leg to push himself around. It was actually quite entertaining to watch. He went from table to table talking and chatting with all of the patrons. OK. On to the meal. Each of us ordered breakfast tacos. I had the Hobbs taco and the sausage, egg, and cheese. The tacos were OK, they just tasted like they were a little on the bland side. I’m not sure what it was, but they were lacking in flavor. I tried adding salt and the homemade hot sauce, but it didn’t help. The one thing I did like is that they use American cheese on their tacos. It’s a lot creamier than the cheddar that most places use. The people that I was dining with said that the tacos they ordered were a little bland as well. All in all, I think this place has potential. I’m thinking that we might have just been there on an «off» day. I say that because there were a lot of people dining there, and I think they were regulars(or at least they acted like regulars). I really like all of the Pancho Villa pictures they had plastered in every bit of free wall space available. I also liked the jukebox that played Mexican cantina style music. And one quick tip; if you’re looking for those«hard to get» Spanish language Cd’s or DVDs, they sell them here.
