I had the Farmers Omelet. It comes with bacon, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes & cheese. I got mine without the cheese. There was bacon in every bite and abundant vegetables. The scoop of potatoes looked a little small on the plate, but it really was the right amount. They were about ½″ cubes, with a nice chewy texture outside and soft inside, just how I like them. Toast was lightly browned without any butter on it, making it perfect. It was a good amount of food. My wife had the 2 eggs with a pancake and sausage patties. Her sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to perfection with firm whites and runny yellows. The pancake was a generous size, and the 2 sausage patties were browned perfectly. The waitress was friendly and attentive, checking with us every time she walked by. 15 tables, about 1⁄3 full, with 2 waitresses. Kelly was the only female customer when we arrived, the rest were working men. A pair of ladies arrived after a little while and took their own table. The restroom is just a single toilet, unisex, old and worn, but spotlessly cleaned with plenty of paper towels and soap for your hands. This was a good experience, and we will definitely return if we come through Uvalde again. They did have a salad bar(empty now as we are part of the breakfast crowd on a Wednesday morning). They have 2 daily specials for lunch written on the white board and the Soup of the Day says Creamy Chicken Vegetable — makes me wish we were staying for lunch, too! Sign on the front window says«No cameras or recording devices.» Tho, with food this good, they should take down the sign!

Glad we stopped here! 2 of us had the fried chicken breast and 2 of us had the chopped steak lunch specials, which came with mashed potatoes, green beans, a drink and dessert! Everything was very good. The mashed potatoes were real and had great flavor and the green beans were delicious. They had tomatoes and onions in them, I could’ve eaten a big bowl of them! The chocolate cake for dessert was very good also, nice and moist. We were served very quickly and the staff was very friendly. We will return!

Great place with good food! We stopped here on our way back to Houston and had a great meal. I had the lunch special which was Fried Fish that day and my husband had the soup and salad buffet. The soup was incredible and fresh! I would definitely recommend for people driving through. The place was busy so obviously the locals already know this is the place to eat at.

Cute little locally-owned breakfast spot with conventional-style home cooking. Clean, kind attentive service, and a very good deal price-wise. The coffee is not bad. The leftover Christmas decorations are kinda funny.
