Went in ate here for the first time last night, I’m from out of my town visiting friends. Walking in we were greeted and welcomed in from the guy with the cool mustache. My friend and I ordered off the menu, and specially asked what came on the sand which and he replied with just meat cheese mushrooms and mustard mayo, we asked for no mushrooms and add bacon. The sand which came out with mushrooms, no bacon, and also had onions and bell peppers. So he went to the counter and apologized for now being more specific about what he did and did not want, the guys who kindly greeted us walking in did a completely 360 and took he sandwich before he was even done talking and replied with«K.» The then proceeded to talk loudly about it, in a rude manner. When the new sand which came out. They sat there on the other side of the counter and starred while he ate his sandwich. Very uncomfortable. Extremely rude. Will not ever come back to this place again or recommend to anyone.

There steak and cheese is awesome, beats the cheese steak place across the street. Starting to go here every week. Plus military discount.

Ordered turkey bacon ranch on wheat. Too much lettuce, could not taste bacon though I think I spotted a couple slivers in there. When you pay 12 dollars for sandwich and drink you would expect a filling meal. I’m leaving dissatisfied and have no intention of returning. Wish I had went to the Habit next door. Togos still seems to be the sandwich shop to beat. Firehouse is a fad eatery and will be gone after not too long. In closing while eating today, 3 men clearly in management discussing store and it’s operation clearly are totally oblivious to there issues. Too bad seems it could have been a good place to eat.

Their sandwiches are far better than your local subway. Why 3 stars? Only few bread choices(they only have wheat and white) and nothing interesting in their menu. Just average.

Great service. The smoked briskest and cheddar sandwich was great. And very decent backed goods. Nice to have another Subway alternative. And they seemed to be involved in a lot of charities and community service. They weren’t too busy when I was there and they still kept up a high service and cleanliness level.

Went here today to get a bite for lunch. It was pretty dead when I walked in. I ordered the club sub and waited outside because it was a nice day. The guy who brought it silently placed it on my table and walked away, no words, but whatever that’s fine. I look at my sandwich and see no vegetables at all on it. I think to myself, should I have asked for some? But I looked at the menu and the menu has a picture of the sandwich with all the vegetables on it. So I got up and brought the sandwich to their front and waited for someone to make eye contact with me and notice me, which is very easy to do because there were only 5 customers in the whole store. The guy who initially handed me the food looked at me and said«YES?» Like he thought I was going to be a pain. All I asked was for lettuce and tomato. He kind of paused and looked at me, and so I asked him«is that too much?» Like he didn’t want to or something. I thought that was awkward. I’m pretty sure he was some kind of management too, because he was directing the two other workers in the store. Anyway he had some other girl put some veggies on a side plate and walked away before she handed it to me. Anyway, I won’t be coming back, and I honestly don’t see this restaurant lasting too long in Vacaville. Jersey Mikes on Leisure Town is the same price, and waaaaay better quality sandwich AND service.

Terrible customer service. I’ve been to a different location and had a great friendly experience and came here and was so disappointed. The guy who was working the first time I came in was yelling at his co workers right while we were trying to take our order. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I was embarrassed for the lady messing up. Then I asked him a question about a sandwich or the menu and the guy made fun of me and jokingly but seriously said in a sarcastic way an answer. It really pissed me off. Then proceeded to laugh at himself. I was considering not even going back to give them my service but I thought I would try again. The next time I went I was saying that my husband was a fireman and asking about the fire discount. She ignored me. The sale already rang and I said what is the fire discount and she said«what do you mean». Pretty blunt question but it seemed she didn’t wanna answer because she didn’t want me to ask to re ring the sale. I asked again the same way as before. What is the fire discount. She said«free medium drinks» and I said k. I thought it was so rude to ignore me and then play dumb. The sandwiches in my opinion are pretty good. However I can get Mr. Pickles or something else that for way cheaper and just as good if not better. Way over priced. Me and my husband and my sons kids meal altogether costed 32.00. With chips and drink. The parking also sucks terribly. So crowded and crammed. Not enough parking spots. Not worth it. Not going to go back to this location and I live very local. I gave them two tried and they’ve disappointed.

Great food and very friendly staff. Also very generous to Child Haven(a Solano county charity) that provides therapy to children who have suffered from severe trauma such as domestic violence, sexual assault, abandonment or neglect. They even allowed us to put a toy donation box at their location. These toys are used in therapy with the children and their families to create some happy holiday memories. So bring a new unwrapped toy and enjoy a great, quick meal. Your kids will love the free fireman’s hat.

Definitely having a case of the Mondays but Luis came to the rescue! When I arrived to pick up my order, I was informed my card had been declined knowing I had money in the bank I called my bank to see what was up. Long store short I accidentally put the wrong expiration date when I ordered online so they put a stop on my card thinking someone stole it! Luis saw my frustration while I was on the phone and gave me order for Free! That was so awesome of him! Thank you again for doing that!!! If you have time go and eat there their food is awesome and so is the staff!!! Thanks guys ANGELA

3.5 overall. 5 for friendly and attentive staff. 5 for kids — $ 3.99 kids meal and all kids get a plastic firemen’s hat. Really cute. Sandwiches had great flavor profiles and seemed to have quality ingredients. However being a hearty eater I thought the subs were on the small side. Wife got the pulled pork and slaw king Hawaiian roll special. Very tasty. I did the beef brisket and cheddar. Also great flavor. Cost for 3 of us $ 25 and I just got sando and water. Cost of eating out going up and that is just the way it is.

I never had Firehouse until this location opened up. And even then, I kept forgetting it was there since we avoid this side of Monte Vista since parking is a headache. I decided to finally come her with a friend and then again with the husband. I tried the turkey bacon ranch and it was delicious. I like how the juice from the sandwich drips off… Not too much juice but enough to drip into the basket. Only thing is I felt the veggie to meat ratio was off. Seemed like I had more lettuce than turkey. Still tasty, but I prefer more meat. It was a little crowded so our orders took a bit to come to our table. I thought we’d have to go get them, but someone came and brought it to our table. Nice. Prices can a bit higher than Quiznos and maybe togos for some of their subs, definitely more than subway. I don’t think I’d go out of my way for Firehouse, but it’s a good option for sandwiches when you’re in the area.

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick bite to eat during our 4.5 hours drive back home to the Bay Area from Mount Shasta. We stopped by Nut Tree Plaza and I wanted to try something new so I chose Firehouse Subs. Disappointing mistake. I ordered the Capt. Sorensen’s Grilled Chicken and he had the Turkey Salsa Verde Sub(Both were Under 500 Cals Subs). Not only did it take awhile to get our sandwiches, but they messed up our order. They put the salsa verde on my grilled chicken instead of on his turkey sub. We ordered to-go so we were in the car when we realized the mix-up, and it was too hot outside and we were both too lazy to bring the sandwiches back in. We wouldn’t have minded the mix up if the sandwiches had tasted good. They were very ordinary and something we could’ve easily made(better) ourselves. They were lacking any flavor. Subway is much cheaper, faster, and better. The only pro about our experience here is the fountain drink machine. It has a lot of different drink options and allows you to mix them. We had the cherry limeade mixed with Sprite– it was good(and I don’t drink soda). Maybe we should have ordered something else and shouldn’t have ordered off the Under 500 Cals Subs menu. I added a second star because of their charitable efforts. The Good: Clean, spacious interior Raises money(charitable foundation) Lots of yummy fountain drink options No line when we went(Sunday afternoon) The Bad: The Sandwiches Overpriced Wait was long for just cold sandwiches(not sure if my grilled chicken was cooked, it tasted like the pre-cooked chicken you put on salads)

I came here today with two of my good friends to grab lunch before the July 4th festivities. We came around 3:30pm and there were only a few customers there. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and the place is very clean. I ordered the Kings Hawaiian Pork & Slaw Sandwich and a drink. The total was almost $ 12 bucks which is a bit pricey in my book, but boy was the sandwich absolutely delicious. The bread was the Kings Hawaiian type so it was nice, soft and tasty. The meat inside was not skimped at all. There were huge chunks of pork and it tasted absolutely fantastic mixed with the cole slaw. My friends ordered the beef sirracha sandwiches and really enjoyed them too complementing how hard they rave. Overall, I had a good experience and although the sandwiches aren’t cheap you definitely get what you pay for. I look forward to my next visit to try out another great sandwich!

Came for an early lunch on 6⁄23. It was not crowded and the staff as very attentive. The 8-inch sub was plenty big enough for myself and the 12-inch was big enough to share with my spouse. The sandwich was mainly meat and lettuce. I got the Turkey Bacon Ranch and it was good. The bread was toasted easy to eat. There are several drink options and lots of seating available. The price was a little more than subway but a nice change. We would come back.

My husband and I dropped in for a late lunch on 2÷16÷15; it’s our first time in a Firehouse. I understand it was the grand opening but they had one employee standing outside of the front doors with a clip board greeting people and one was inside greeting people. I felt a bit awkward, I just want to buy a sandwich not a timeshare. We ordered a large Italian sandwich. Firehouse serves their Italian as a hot sandwich with a creamy sauce. I’m used to Italian sandwiches being served cold cut style. Due to the hot creamy sauce, the bread didn’t hold up very well. The sandwich was very wet. It was tasty though. But next time I’ll try something different. We will be back.

Brand spanking new Firehouse Sub’s, this place is big for a sandwich shop. Basically the size of two Togo’s shops combined with plenty of tables. Located in the same strip mall across from Nut Tree as all the other new food venues, parking is a major problem here. The store manager assured us that a new parking lot would be going in farther up the road when a Sax on 5th is built. He also pointed out that there is now a marked crosswalk across the street to Nut Tree. I tried the Steak n Cheese sandwich, basically a Philly Cheese Steak with beef, onions, peppers, Swiss cheese and mayo. I ordered the Large 12′ as I had read previous reviews stating that the regular size sandwiches are too small. My sandwich was big with lots of meat, a good thing in my book. However the beef lacked seasoning and probably ordering a Philly at a normal sub shop wasn’t such a good idea. Overall the sandwich was good. If you are a big eater, do not order a regular sandwich and expect any degree of satisfaction. The people in my group were not happy and I saw a Brisket Sandwich that looked like a kid’s meal LOL. One cool feature FHS has is the multi flavor Coke machine, giving you endless options for Coke product refreshments. Service was shaky since it was a new business. Our cashier couldn’t figure out how many cups to give us even though we only had a party of four. The sandwich makers are barely audible as they call out completed sandwiches and if it hadn’t been for the manager delivering our food we probably would have missed our notification. Overall I prefer this place over the breadwiches at Subway, but I am not sure if they are better or the same as Togos. For now I am giving this place the A-OK Three Star Salute.
