Do not stay here! I went with a group of six people for three days to ski in Vail. We booked two connecting condos. We were told that we’d have six BEDS. We were given five really bad beds and a tiny COT. There were exposed carpet staples on the floor. The front desk was managed by a rotation of employees who were either rude or just not there. The locker room is a cross between a gas station bathroom and a middle school hallway. The biggest positive attribute is that they do have complimentary shuttles running to all the mountains.

Awesome! ! Best condo my husband and I have ever visited. Clean, private and easily accessible to the Village.

Spacious, fully equipped kitchen, nice fireplace, and great views. The shuttle to Vail runs frequently, and is quick. Great indoor and hotfoot hot tubs.

Stayed here for a week this ski season. Good standard of accommodation although this depends on the condo that you get since they are largely privately owned so it depends on the taste etc. of the owner. Since we know the owner of our particular condo, we knew what to expect and it was, as usual excellent. Close to I-70 which you can certainly hear, but not obtrusive. Very good, reliable shuttle to and from the town and the slopes. We had our own car but chose to use the free shuttle often. Parking is easy and efficient — you park under the complex and there is plenty of room. The pool is OK but the water was very cold when we were there. The outdoor hot tub was broken when we arrived but fixed within 2 days. Small gym area that is again OK but pretty unappealing — better than nothing and I don’t work out when I am skiiing! Very nice lobby area and that’s good because you can get free wi-fi there and you will need to take advantage of that. The wi-fi in the condo’s is dreadful, actually unusable. Very expensive($ 35 for a week) and basically so slow and unreliable you can’t use it. This is really bad — we complained and I wrote to the provider when I got back and he apologized and promised to «look into it». Haven’t heard anything more so it may be better when you go — I surely hope so. You need wi-fi and it needs to work — going downstairs to sort out ski bookings etc. is a pain, especially late at night. All in all a good place to stay — not very close to the ski area but close enough, shops are very nearby too.

Stayed at Simba Run Jan 23 – 27, 2011. Great hotel: complimentary Starbuck’s coffee(machine) in the lobby, as well as complimentary DVDs for evening entertainment. The indoor pool is very big(disappointed that it wasn’t very warm, though) and not only does the hotel provide a shuttle to the Village, but also the Vail Village bus stop is close too. We stayed in unit 1511, and it had a great view of the ski mountain; we had a nice unit: one BR had a king size bed, and the other had bunk beds and a double/queen. The living room had a pull-out sofa and pull-out love seat. Not too fancy, but definitely appealing for a week, and the price was very, very attractive!

Stayed in a 2-bedroom unit with 5 other friends for 4 nights while skiing in Vail. Located on the opposite side of the highway from Lionshead Village, the location is convenient for just about everything you would want to do in Vail. While you can’t walk to the slopes, the private resort shuttle runs all day until 11pm to take you to Vail and Lionshead Village. It will also take you to local places, like the grocery store, etc. in case you don’t have a car. Of course the«niceness» of the individual units depends on how well the owner equips them, but ours was very nice. The facilities are also quite good: 1 outdoor hot tub, 1 indoor, and an indoor pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is located essentially on I-70, so it can have a bit of highway noise especially if your unit is on that side. I’d certainly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in Vail. It is reasonably priced compared to many of the overpriced places available to stay in the area. Everyone in my group agreed and was impressed with the choice to stay there.

We stayed here while snowboarding at Vail. The condos were spacious and located a quick 5 minutes shuttle ride to the slopes, the shuttles were easy to arrange for, and the concierge was really helpful. Freaking awesome!
