This place is horrible. I went here for lunch and was so disappointed. Our server brought water to us 10 minutes after we sat down and complained about how busy it was. Then, three of the servers got into a loud argument on the floor about who took what table. This was all very distracting and unprofessional. The two items that I wanted were unavailable so I ordered chili. It took another 30 minutes for my chili to come out and it was very cold. I was already late for work so I took two cold bites and left. I will never go here again. Vail Village has so many other and better options, so I will never need to go here. They just lost the business of a born and raised local!

Tavern on the Gore has a great location right on the river in Vail village. My friend and I came on a Sunday night, we wanted a little bite to eat after having a heavy lunch so we decided on the spring rolls and shared a Cesar salad with chicken. I wish the food was as good as the view, the spring rolls were $ 10 and looked like a 5 year old rolled and made them, huge disappointment. The salad was good, but for $ 17 it was barely anything maybe 5 or 6 bites total. Great space and relaxing environment, but I’d skip on the food next time.

Great food, good beer selection and dog friendly upstairs patio. Did I mention the dog menu? Our server Kelly was great. Hit all the marks.

This place is only good if you can’t get s reservation elsewhere. Good is just ok and service is similar. They were out of a lot of items and service was SLLOOWWWW. Skip it.

My fiancé and I wandered into Tavern on the Gore and were 100% wooed by both the food and the staff. Jason B, our server, was very attentive and genuine. After stopping by our table to say hi, the chef sent us a special dish relating to the cooking stories we shared. Hands down the BEST Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had(they cure their own meats) and the Brussels sprouts are absolutely amazing!!!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, wonderful service. The chef made rounds through the restaurant every half hour or so and checked on people’s meals personally. I ordered the ribeye and he came out beforehand to offer an alternate blue cheese and wild mushroom sauce that made it the best steak I have ever had, anywhere. I can’t say enough about this place. Definitely worth a stop-in if you’re anyway near Vail. We had four kids under 8 with us and they had a great time with the river view. Not sure how anyone could give this place fewer than 5 stars!

May have just eaten one of the best meals to date. From the perfectly cooked and garnished ribeye, to the complementary Monster Cake for desert. But the best part had to be when the chief took time out of his busy night to visit our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

This is a great place for lunch on the Gore Creek. Beautiful views and lots of light options. I opted for the grilled veggie kabobs and a side of shrimp. A little pricey for what you get($ 20), but very flavorful and filling enough for a lunch. I would’ve given this restaurant 5 stars had our waiter not been desperately trying to empty our prosecco bottle. He filled out glasses up to the very rim(what the?) and then took the bottle away when there was about ¼ glass left. This obviously isn’t a huge deal, but when I’m paying for something, I’d like to enjoy all of it. Kind of annoyed me. He was gone before I even had a chance to say anything. Go for the food and the ambience. You’ll like it.

Ordered the chicken fingers for our little princess, the Greek salad w shrimp, and the tavern burger. Fantastic. Location is awesome and dodged a bullet as we almost ate downstairs at Up The Creek. Impressive drink selection also.

We had a late lunch, and the restaurant was not busy. We were seated outside with a view of Gore Creek. It was very picturesque, and the weather was perfect. Our waitress was outstanding. Along with being helpful and attentive, she knew the menu well. She kept our water glasses full. One sandwich order did not come with the mustard on the side as we had requested. As it was being served, the waitress noticed and quickly offered to have it remade. The drink special was the house margarita($ 6), and it was excellent. Quervo Gold tequila combined with their homemade mix was just right. It was not too tart, and had an even flavor that went down easily. The margarita was served on the rocks with salt. One daughter and I shared the panini, and it was decent. I liked that they cut the sandwich and presented it on separate plates. And, we each had our own serving of fries. Little things make a difference. Other members from our party ordered the Thai Spring Rolls, Chicken Salad on Croissant, and Caesar Salad. Comments from the crew included«the spring rolls were fantastic,» «the chicken salad was okay,» and the«Caesar was the best.»

All around disappointing. Only one kind of oysters left and the waitress was short with us. But what made me decide to actually write this review was that we ordered two blueberry mojitos that were undrinkable. When I nicely explained that they were two sweet, the waitress response was an irritated«that’s the simple syrup». We ordered two new drinks, both were fine, but they still charged us for the mojitos. We figured it was a waste of alcohol so we tried to finish them but couldn’t because they were so bad. We left without ordering entrees and the waitress gave us attitude when we checked out.

Great sandwiches, beers, and scenery. Good service. Not overpriced which says a lot given the real estate.

This is a great place to watch sports in vail. The menu is reasonably priced and the food is delicious. The wings are soooooo good, buffalo is the perfect amount of heat. We had the Brussels sprouts and buffalo lasagna and they were tasty.

Mountain food, but limited menu. Hugh portion of pork tacos. Chicken wrap was warm & tasty. Great location but typical bar food.

Pretty disappointed with the food, but service was good. 2 of the 6 people I went to dinner with were disappointed with their meal, the ones that enjoyed it had the scallops.

I was really excited when this place opened. I have been here numerous times. Every time no one greets you and the staff pretends like you are not there. When you finally get a waiter they never come back after they serve the food. It’s is overpriced too. The food is alright, but it’s not worth how the staff treats you.

There’s a reason we got a table on one of the busiest nights of the year… try mediocre service with a waiter Sal who had no idea about the wine or beer list. When we ordered the first bottle they were out of it… the food was diner quality when it comes to quality and presentation and the waiter managed to recommend the most expensive entrees, same sentence he also managed to have us disregard the least expensive option on the menu. He obviously had no idea what he was talking about. His table presence was mediocre at best, he let all of our water glasses go empty before we had to ask him to fill it up. He was far more concerned about having our alcoholic beverage glasses filled than making sure that we are comfortable in perhaps the coldest table in the dining room. When stake was ordered, don’t you want a fillet and not a sliced piece of meat? And the mashed potatoes were way too salty and probably pre-made. When the check came and we paid, he took the signed copies before we even left the table. So rude!
