Super 8 Motel Valdosta Conference Center Area

We were looking for a non-​smoking accessible room for the night after traveling all day. When we first entered the room, it appeared to be a nice spacious room. The first thing we saw was a bug on the round table in the room. The next bug was on the desk. Next found one walking the bathroom floor, then on the TV stand, and in the morning my husband found one on his CPAP. Not sure what kind of bugs they have here but we’re hoping we didn’t take any with us. When we walked into the room, we noticed a strong odor. Not sure whether it’s room spray deodorizer or pest spray. Other than that the room was OK but the bugs really grossed us out. However after driving all day we were too tired to move after having brought everything in from the car. They didn’t have a luggage cart so we couldn’t move everything easily. I didn’t sleep much during the night, worrying about whether something was crawling on me.
Breakfast consisted of make your own waffle, (the only hot item), cinnamon roll, toast, coffee, juice, yogurt, cold cereal, oranges. No protein at all. Fortunately, there is an IHOP right in front of the property.
If it weren’t for the bugs, we would probably give this property three stars.

Great hotel. Stayed here on our way to and from relative’s home in Florida. Very clean. Inexpensive. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Well worth the money.

The continental breakfast is crap, and their WiFi connects without actually let you surf, but the rest of our stay was fine… clean rooms, comfy beds, air conditioner worked, microwave, iron & blow dryer on hand… bathroom was cramped with just a toilet & shower — sink was out in the bedroom — Our dog was happy there and it was Shangri-​La compared to our stay at Regency Inn several months ago, so I would recommend this place for budget-​conscious patrons!

Surprisingly better than we anticipated. Still a 2 star though, for all intents and purposes. Very nice and friendly staff. Room was clean and smelled normal (neither fresh nor stale/​gross). You could tell they make efforts to update it to the best of their ability, but their ability is limited. I didn’t feel like I was in a roach motel by any means, but it still is an old building with only basic amenities, so it’s hard to say it’s better than a 2 star. Maybe 2 ½. Perfect for an overnight stay.

Booked online, looked decent enough. At checkin, was told how to get to our room on 2^nd floor… only problem is I had knee surgery recently and was just told there is no elevator! Room was clean, but had a very strong musty odor that hit me in the face when I opened the door. All in all, it was okay for the price since it was a very short over night stay. Don’t think I would knowingly choose this kind of place again though.

Was nice for the price you pay. AC worked well and was central unlike most hotels that have the units by the windows. Staff was friendly other than miscommunication with the housekeeping staff our visit was pleasant. We will be staying here when we go to Valdosta from now on. Clean and conveniently located by a gas station.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Beds were rock hard though.
