Deff got food poisoning from the shrimp Nacho’s… Not only that but the shrimp seemed to be over cooked because it was tough as hell. Deff won’t be back I do how ever love the one up the street. Plus the girls that work there are drop dead Gorgeous!!! I don’t give up on the whole chain but this place needs to go… Why would you even make a second shittyer restaurant right next to the first. And I’m pretty sour about the food poisoning!

Can’t really complain about this Baldo’s, compared to the other one down the street. One thing I can say is that this spot is pretty dead. Whenever I come this way, there are hardly any other people here. It’s the same employee here day in, day out. He’s really nice though. The food is so-so. One time I ordered a combo plate and it tasted like it was simply microwaved. I won’t be ordering that again. Their Carne Asada fries though, are something to behold. They’re pretty big and loaded. You probably won’t be able to finish it in one go unless you’re famished or high on weed, haha. The times I’ve ordered a burrito, they’ve been pretty average in taste. My latest order was the Shrimp Super Burrito, which I ordered only because it’s Meatless Friday and I can’t eat meat today. It was pretty moist(see the picture I uploaded) but I think next time I’ll ask for more rice and less beans. Otherwise it was palatable. Service-wise, the wait is kind of hit-or-miss. Sometimes the guy is so fast you won’t be able to finish the free chips & salsa that’s on a table there. Other times you’ll probably be going though your 5th plate of chips before he comes out. The good thing is that if you want silence, this is a good place for that. There is hardly any ambient noise here besides the cars zipping by. If you want reasonable Mexican, this is a good start. Check out my accompanying pix for the menu. Enjoy!

Can’t even comprehend this… But terrible, terrible first impression. I will not be back here & I would not recommend this place to anyone. Came in with a friend while having my car serviced at the Midas down the way, she ordered a #5 which she paid for & the order taker immediately went to the back to prepare her order as I believe he was the only person on shift in entire building(mind you I’m still there waiting to order my own). I ordered the #3(2 chicken enchilada combo) with an horchata. The horchata tasted horrible, almost like a sour milk taste so I politely asked to exchange for a soda which he did. After getting my plate, which was a to-go box, although he didn’t ask if it was for here or to, I opened it to find a mound of shredded lettuce & non melted shredded cheese. After removing the large pile of lettuce I sort of found my enchiladas drenched in red sauce to the point they were indistinguishable as enchiladas. I began to eat one enchilada & the sauce was just so salty that I couldn’t continue with the rest of my meal. The beans were dry as if they had sat around. The enchiladas were haphazardly thrown together, smothered in sauce cheese & lettuce & everything was cold except my rice. It makes me thing they only microwaved the enchiladas/beans before serving them to me. Not to mention my friend could not finish her meal either… Piles of lettuce, mounds of non melted shredded cheese… Salty enchilada sauce… Praying to God that I don’t end up having stomach problems later after eating what I was able to. I will definitely not be returning to this location or any other Baldo’s location for that matter. This is disgraceful & I’m leaving still hungry! PS: their green sauce is not mild it is hotter than the Devils you know what! Be warned

I went in because I was hungry for Mexican food and most places were closed. Came here and ordered the daily special which is a Chicken taco and a chicken quesadilla. First off the chicken quesadilla was $ 7.25 and all I got was super salty chicken with cheese wrapped in a big tortilla. No sour cream or anything just chicken and cheese. The tacos were okay but it was the same salty chicken and cheese with lettuce thrown on the side. So disappointed that I wasted my money. Will not be coming back here and I could of went to Taco Bell and got a fake quesadilla for half the price.

Epic fail! Mediocre at best! This place looks like it shouldn’t even be open yet. When I walked in it felt as if they were in the middle of moving in or something, for instance the ice for soft drinks they store it in a foam cooler. They cashier would freak out if she had a line of customers to take care of since she had a hard time taking my order of one super burrito and steak fries. It’s also expensive! Just blah! Never again!

Time: 11:49am/70°F sunny Purpose: Just got off I-80 on my way to couple of meet ups. A little starving since I last ate breakfast four hours ago. Ambiance: Located on busy heavy travel Redwood street. Baldo’s has a shape of a house with noticeable triangular roof. It’s located near a strip mall, but isolated itself from other business with a lot that parks a dozen vehicle. Feels high of the ground type of place. Inside is a 20 seater place with counter and table place around where its necessary. The ceiling are line with dark stain wooden matchstick boards. Restroom are seen easily without navigation one for each gender. Make sure to knock before pulling on door. Once door open even by mistake all eyes will be looking in. Makeshift counter with overhead menu some handwritten along with pictures. Counter area the basic soda fountain, juice dispenser, plastic ware, iPad, and tip jar. No entertainment of any kind heard or seen. Feels so what cold and kitschy with the red/white color scheme. Staff: Two ladies about 30s friendly while tellinge what sells in for place. I want to believe it, but I’m just not the type to believe or eat anything given to me. Not always, but most of the time when recommendation is given, its usually old stock goods. Since place was empty, I’ve time to go through each menu column. Cashier lady made sure I knew what I was getting. Not the first time I’m eating Mexican. Cleanliness: Grade B, not good or bad depend on where you’re seater. Counter area a little oily tables are fine. Restroom had some graffiti scrawl and etch. Eats/Drinks: Two tacos one carne asada and other al pastor both $ 3.45 ea. Asada was good, but kinda dry with meat tasting left over from previous day. Al pastor tasted better as marinated meat had a good spit fire grill taste. The cuts were in right area as edges had char marks. Tortilla was mushy due to oil and natural juices soaking it up. Never like a mushy tortilla, it just don’t taste right. Water to wash it down with tasted weird later only to find out cup had oil pods. Main Features: Carne asada fries with drink, Baldo’s salad special. Products/Services: Combo plates, carne asada fries, nachos, chile verde, rolled tacos, burritos, tacos, crispy tacos, enchilada, tostada, tortas, tamale, salad, rice bowls, breakfast plates, breakfast burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, a la carte, assorted soda/juices, horchata, tamarind, watermelon juice. Takes plastic, open 24/7, no Wi-Fi, daily/weekend special. Punch Lines: Laid back, calm vibe, kitschy décor, light bites, zippy service, off putting, nothing special, sleeper, go elsewhere, not as great, quite bland, modest price, busy Redwood street, two restroom, open 24/7, no self help soda fountain. Tradeoffs: Open 24⁄7 doesn’t mean everything is fresh or constantly rotated out. You eat what they want to give you. Final Thoughts: Sometimes when you’re starving. You end up going to any place that you come across at the time being. It can be good, average, and bad. Baldo’s is one of those place you stumbled upon being located on a main road. There’s nothing worth going here for that you can’t find other parts of town. If you absolutely need to eat regardless or use restroom this may be the stop. It’s step above Taco Bell standards, but still.

Food is mediocre at best, they charge twice as much as any other«mexican» restaurant in the area, and dont think of using an amex card because they will charge you at least 3 bucks more without informing you. Beware these scammers! I get it may cost more to use a card but they should be informing the public of that.

Super excited. I dropped in even though i dont like #1 up the block. I needed food after the gym before my pedi over at kenny le’s. The $ 1 ground beef tacos they all everyday called me in. So glad i have them a chance. Super crispy taco shell fresh fried & very large. Super juicy ground beef with great flavor. Was very clean. It has a salsa bar with this one cream looking Salsa with tomatoes i think im it. Nice spice good flavor. You can grab a boat & grab your own c hips. They offer every Tuesday carne asada fries has lf price or everyday with a medium soda for $ 9.25. I asked a woman waiting for her order of them if they were good. I guess she got 3 orders of them. They go every Tuesday. Well worth giving a shot if you don’t like other spot. I may go back tonight for the fries. Yummy!

This is a small taqueria with a homely feel. It’s never to busy, and it’s a good place to get a quick bite to eat. The best thing on the menu is the carne asada fries meal deal. $ 10 gets you fries and a drink(half price on Tuesday.)

Not nearly as good as the other Baldo’ses in other towns or the one further down Redwood in Vallejo. Also, their dinky little parking area really stinks. The food was decent, but something was off/different compared to the other ones. Not sure what it was. On the plus side if you dine in they have a small salsa setup with chips. I guess that’s cool if you like this place better than the other one.

Bring gloves and a bib because the burritos are super soggy and somewhat bland. Chips and salsa are decent enough. Maybe try the menudo. Something you can eat with a spoon.

Been trying to solve the Multiple Baldo’s Mystery. ‘Wanted a happier carne asada fries experience than I had in FF. I think I found it. Fresh, recently cooked meat, hot fries, melty cheese, sour cream and guac. That hits the spot. Plus the have dulce-filled churros. Sweet! My honey had the carne asada fries and they were good too. About a dozen parking spots, easy to get to address, and did I mention help yourself chips? We’ll be back to try more of the menu items. (Ps they’re related to the Vacaville Baldo’s but not the other Redwood or FF ones)

Al pastor burrito was super soggy and wet. I’m assuming the al pastor meat was hanging out in some liquid marinade and they scooped up everything and put it straight into my burrito. Like, I seriously could have eaten it with a straw. That’s how wet it was. The meat wasn’t even marinated, just pieces of meat in some sauce. Didn’t even bother eating more than ¼ of it. It’s weird too because the al pastor at the baldos down the street is seared pretty well and sometimes has a nice crunch. And most importantly, it’s NOT the consistency of melted rocky road ice cream. So needless to say I’m really disappointed and I GUESS I will just have to drive the extra 0.5 miles to the other one.(Why was this location even necessary?)
