Went here for the first time and was it was good. It was raining outside they had a nice fireplace going inside and some live music. We had some good cocktails. The drunken chicken was great my kids had a pizza that tasted great. I can’t wait to go back I think I will just order pizza and drinks next time. I’m sure I will become a regular here.

Another one of our go to spots. Right on the water of the Mare Island straight, you just can’t pass the view.(For being in Vallejo). The staff is great and I enjoy their specials. My favorite would be the primerib followed by the surf and turf. Also, they serve up some good pizzas as well!

The food here is great. Lots of variety and something for everyone on the menu. Their specials are always changing too. Best dish hands down has to be the crab cakes! You can’t find them this good any where else.

I can’t hold back my thoughts any longer. I’ve read many reviews of the Front Room At The Warf and am totally surprised at the absence of comments on the remarkable chicken entrees. Granted, they are all very similar but each has a specific flavor; and each is(clean your plate) delicious. I am headed there again tonight for what makes probably a dozen meals in the last year. I agree that the service can be a bit scarce on occassion but have never been dissapointed with the food.

I’m definitely a fan of the Front Room, though I have mixed feelings about it. Some things on the menu are totally awesome and delicious, and some I avoid. Steak sandwich — it got really soggy the first time I ordered it and that turned me off, but now I get the mushroom sauce on the side and dress it myself. It’s a pretty good deal. Bread sticks — you get these when you order dinner(not necessarily if you are getting a sandwich) Pizza! I especially love the sauce and their crust is great. They have these really yummy au gratin potatoes, and I’ve never had overcooked vegetables. The meatball sub is too salty, but otherwise pretty good. Desserts are good and there’s a decent variety. Many of the other items are good, but not everything. I feel like the menu is kind of massive and a little dated. The best things we’ve had were items we’ve customized. That’s the thing. they’re great about customization and trying to accommodate dietary restrictions. There’s occasionally some inconsistency, and it’s a little overpriced, but we know what we’re getting. We love the view. The bartender is awesome-sauce. I feel like the servers work their tails off, but the kitchen needs to work on being more timely and consistent and be cautious to not over or under season food. They can cook a steak properly, so that’s a good thing. I’ve only returned on once. I still recommend the place. They have a lot going for them, but I really want Robert Irvine come in to update the menu and décor. :P

We came for a snack on a Monday afternoon after a hike. We waited for a table for a good 10 to 20minutes but no one entertained us. So we decided to leave. We’d like to think we weren’t entertained because they were busy but nevertheless, it was rude. Very rude!

Read good reports about this restaurant so tried it for lunch on President’s Day. There were no signs at the entrance so we took a vacant table only to be ignored. We lifted two menus from the counter & realised then that we should have waited to be seated. Once the server came things went smoothly. Food was good, portions good so no complaints on that front.

Love this place. Always friendly service and food that is actually prepared for you. Not some microwave food like these big box restaurants try to feed you. I read some of the other reviews and have to disagree with them as I’ve came here for years and never had a bad experience.

The Front Room at the Wharf surely has the best views of the Vallejo waterfront. It’s beautiful during the day and somewhat romantic at night. I have been here twice, ordering something different both times. In my first visit, my party and I were welcomed with a basket of warm breadsticks and butter. It was perfection! I ordered a mozzarella hamburger with well-done beef, which ended up tasting dry. Next time, I will order medium done. The burger was pretty basic, nothing too fancy. The burger also came with the minestrone soup. The soup was fine, but the croutons in it were too salty. We ended the meal with some vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Now that’s the perfect way to end a good dinner. In my second visit, I ordered the pesto pizza. For a place that is known to have the best pizza in town, I wasn’t impressed with the pesto pizza. It was too cheesy and way too greasy. If I were to come here again, I would stick with the hamburgers and try the club sandwiches. This time, we weren’t offered any ice cream at the end of our meal. That was disappointing. Customer service here is a hit or miss. On my first visit, customer service was stellar! On my next visit, customer service was not so welcoming and felt rushed. I guess it depends on whoever is serving that night. Overall, this place is good for families and friends looking for a decent place to have a good lunch or dinner. I will probably be back to try other options, but what I really like about this place is that basket of breadsticks and warm butter!

We came across this restaurant after picking up our child from friends who just moved to Vallejo. We were looking for something our picky child(who’s 11) would like, and when we saw they had pizza, we figured this would do. However, none of us ended up getting pizza! I got the chicken sandwich, which was good; my other half got the cioppino with noodles, which he loved, and our child got a burger, which he enjoyed. The soup was good and the salad quite fresh. Service was very good; water glasses got refilled promptly; our server asked a couple times, discretely, how things were going, and our food arrived pretty quickly. Plus we all got ice cream for dessert, which we liked and didn’t expect. My only complaint is that we were cold the entire time we were having dinner. We ate with our jackets on and sometimes our hands in our pockets. Maybe it was so cold because we were seated at the last table in front of the window, but really, that shouldn’t matter. I would even go back with our friends who now live in Vallejo, who are vegetarians, because there were pizza and pasta options for them. Maybe next time I’d take some hand warmers… or order tea.

I really wanted to give this place more stars. But tonight it just really wasn’t deserving. The food tasted great — but the service was awful. Granted it’s New Year’s Day, but the place was empty. Two other tables were seated after us, they were served their drinks and one an appetizer — be for we were even spoken to. I finally called out across the dinning room to someone passing by and kindly asked her if we could order something to drink. With that out of the way, a different person came to take our order and then asked if we needed anything or drink. We ordered our food, which came out pretty quickly– everything looked great, however, my burger was missing part of its order. My family was halfway done with their meals before we were able to flag down the same young lady who assisted is with our drinks. Once I received my meal, it was great. Once out meal was finished, we waited for about another 15 mins to get our Check. No one came. Our server was no where to be found. We interrupted another server who was seated with a guest and asked if she could assist us with paying our bill. I mentioned that our server disappeared and that we apologized for interruption what she was doing. She then said our server went on break– ummm would have been nice to know? So to sum it all up, great food, bad service. I think we then found our server in the parking lot? Asleep? Not sure!

Had the worst meal of my life here. We were sat — then 20 minutes later we had to ask who our server was. Without saying anything other than«what do you want» our server placed our order for the seafood linguine(with white sauce) and the tomato stuffed shrimp salad. The salad was mediocre but it’s not that hard to screw up a salad. The seafood linguine tasted terrible. The clams were from the can, The two scallops were the toughest, chewiest, stringiest scallops I’ve ever tasted(couldn’t eat them). Mixed in with that was a bunch of frozen shrimp and 2 tough prawns. The noodles were so over cooked it was like mush. When we wanted to leave our server was nowhere to be found. After finally standing up to leave we were able to get someone else to assist us with paying. Never going here again!!!

We came here with a party of 17 on a Sunday evening for dinner. The server was nice even though we tripped her up a couple times with our orders. They have specials listed on a white board as soon as you walk in but nothing on that menu was available(Hello? Dungeness crab during their cancelled season???) so one of our friends asked her to erase them ‘cuz she was excited to order something off that menu but. nothing on it was available. What I swallowed: AVOCADOBURGER: This burger was pretty massive. I ordered it medium and boy, it came out pretty moo-ing but I didn’t bother to take it back since our party was so big. There was a whole half avocado on there and the patty had pretty good flavor but nothing super spectacular. I had a bite of my daughter’s pepperoni pizza and it was decent. The food was OK but being on the waterfront was what made it pretty nice. There is no one to great you at the door so we weren’t sure if we were even in the right restaurant. Three stars for the food but they had a piano player there that played awesome so it was a delight to have a decent meal with all our family and kids and listening to him play so adding a star just for him. * Changing table in the ladies room? Yes

Dominatrix waitress at best. But I guess I’m not trying to get told what to do where to sit and get rude stares and attitude. I felt bad for that waitress though, she got yelled at by the manager, and pretty much dehumanized in front of everyone. Besides her, they were not very helpful or friendly when one walks in. There are no greetings. I just wanted to-go, but apparently I was supposed to know that I would have to go to the middle of the restaurant, which was slightly around the corner, to order and pay… then told to «sit down there!» I honestly did not want to sit down at the moment. The bartender did not even tell me anything while I was trying to get some help at the hostess area. Whomever was the hostess was nowhere to be found. They give big portions that taste decent. I’m borderline on if I would go back. It is quite pricy. My carbonara was $ 17. Am I paying for location? Waterfront of Vallejo where all the hobos hang? I also had a seafood platter thing… that was about $ 32 total… but that dish was sub par…

I have gone here several times. Admittedly for the views, and walking the waterfront afterwards… and let’s face it not many options on the waterfront before Mare Island Brewery opened up. Service is lack luster albeit polite. Polite and slow. The food is very mediocre at best. Over the years I have kept trying it… it’s never gotten better. Go there for the views on the days Mare Island Brewery is still not open perhaps… but just be warned you will have a long wait for food not so great. Really not sure why a pizza is the photo for this place as there are tons of good PIZZA places in town. This is not a pizza joint folks.

Not sure of the draw to this place. I remember many moons ago the pizza place on Redwood and being told they were the best pizza in town. I got a medium pizza with everything on it, dough tasted frozen, pizza sauce seemed like simple marinara(a base marinara for everything kind of marinara), and the toppings appeared frozen(at least not fresh). Overall disappointing, nice views from the windows, but I came for the food and it was not good…
