I went to this restaurant for a business lunch because it was, voted best fine dining in Vallejo 2015. Well it seems to me that it has gone down hill rapidly. The service was extremely slow and the veal parmigian was the toughest that I have ever had. I was also surprised to learn that this«fine dining«establishment doesn’t except American Express

Tried to reserve a table for 18 for this weekend. Had to call 4 times to get a manager to finally call back. When he called back, I was told that they only had a room with no water view. I said I’d check with someone else and call back. I confirmed that it would be ok, and called the restaurant back to let them know. They said that they would reserve the space for me. All set right? Wrong!!! I get a call back with less than 24 hours to find another restaurant from a very rude Manager named Steve that we’d have to order from a banquet Menu because their kitchen can’t handle large parties. This is not a problem, if you’re given that choice when you make your reservation. Fine dining experience is what I’m looking for. Not a cafeteria with a rude manager!!! Then we’re already set up for bad service and an mandatory gratuity for a second rate restaurant. What kind of Italian restaurant sell Teriyaki Chicken anyway??? The rating says good for groups. I don’t think so. No thanks.

We were disappointed with our lunch. I met by friend there for our holiday lunch since we’re both from out of town and had eaten there before. We both ordered thel veal scallopini was very tough had to send it back got the pertrale sole instead which was edible. The crab cakes were too salty and the clam chowder soup was too thick and tasted flourery. The mashed potatoes were good as were the vegetables. The bottle of champagne was one of the only things we enjoyed. I don’t think we’ll back.

Took my parents here tonight, it was my 2nd time, their 1st. My parents immediately commented on how quiet the dining area was(despite the fact we later realized there was a private event in the room next to us with a microphoned speaker, we could not not hear them). Our server, I regret the fact u do not remember her name, was a most pleasantly upbeat blonde woman, who clearly knew what she was doing because she knew exactly when to ask if we needed a drink refill, brought us our condiments on time, and provided witty but not long winded commentary throughout the night. I am a very picky eater, so as usual was difficult while ordering. She took it in stride and everything came out perfectly. She even made sure everything was extra spicy and garlicky like my mom and I like it. The food was 5 stars, and the service was 6. We will definitely be back!(And hopefully with the same server so I can write a review with her name!)

Monday must not be a good day for fresh food. Spaghetti Bolognese was dry and looked like the sauce had been reheated more than once. The beef on the French Dip was not fresh; the meat also looked reheated; should have been at least pink in color. The potato salad was fresh, but had no flavor and I had one bite. Clam Chowder is always good. My husband was sick with food poisoning symptoms within 30 minutes of eating the spaghetti, and it has been 48 hours and he still isn’t feeling well. Was not worth the $ 75 tab without alcohol.

This restaurant on the water is a regular stop for me. Friendly attentive staff and I have yet to try something from the menu that wasn’t excellent. Also the prices will not empty your wallet. Highly recommended.

Not happy!!! After many years of visiting«zios» there seems to be a new tipping policy of automatic 20% tip for all tables no matter of the size of the group! After numerous complaints we we informed by the management the«per the owner Tony if we don’t like it then don’t come back»!!! Nice customer relations! HA.
