Should be no stars. Here right now and it’s been 45 minutes since we ordered. That was 13 minutes after we came in. Kids are done with their shakes. There are 5 burgers on the grill. Poor waitress wanted to do well. Couldn’t take it anymore and left. Sad. If John Taffer was here he’d say SHUTITDOWN!

As a big shock to no one, really poor service. I always second guess the idea of coming here, I enjoy the food but not waiting 5 minutes for someone to ask for my drink order. After the fourth person said they would be right with me I left.

Sit in drive thru at 1 am for over 20 minutes for a cheeseburger and a Diet Coke. Sad service !

Been there several times because it’s the closest. Never had a good experience there. Forexample, 3 customers in the place. Manager seated me. 2 servers talking about their hair and never served me. I left after an hour. Another instance I ordered my food and never saw my server again. She waited on tables the other side of the place. Waited 30min. Finally a different server brought my food and it was cold. from sitting. The last time the server was nice but again it took forever to get my food. When it arrived cold. So I have to guess it sat for awhile.

Again, slow is slow can be. This is what I have come to expect from this location after a half dozen visits over the last year and a half. We Waited over 40 minutes from when I ordered until we got our food(a cheese burger and a grilled cheese-no special orders here). The food was ok; kinda overdone. I only saw my waitress 4 times. It’s funny that 3 servers can appear so busy when there is no food orders up, no refills, and only 12 tables to wait on. The family next to me waited just as long and their order was wrong, then had to wait another 10 minutes to get their meal. Although this location is only minutes from my home, I’m done with them. I will find a different location to drive to. If this location was not right off the highway, there is no way they would stay in business from repeat customers.

Hit and miss. When you pay for things though, it should be hit and hit. 1st visit: jalapeño crunch chicken sandwich was delicious veggie melt great Kid’s mac n cheese good enough, but a miniscule portion. My 6 year old daughter wanted a second order and could have probably eaten a third. kid’s grilled cheese good creamy coleslaw pretty good service slowish but accurate fries, as always, almost cold when they arrive, though that is because they are so freakin thin that they stay hot for about one minute 2nd visit: ordered the $ 4 foot-long chili dog n fries. They brought out a 6 inch chili dog and insisted that was correct. I didn’t raise the issue up to the manager, though I should have. The printed menu has the meal under $ 4 footlong deals, but that wasn’t enough to convince the waitress. Of course their website says«$ 4 footlong chili dog n fries.» The 6 inch did taste good, but I ate an entire restaurant meal in about four minutes… a world record time. told waitress we needed a third order of kid’s mac n cheese for my two daughters to split since the normal order isn’t enough. They were nice enough to bring a third bowl and didn’t charge us for it. it was freezing inside. heard other customers complain, but they just said corporate will not allow them to adjust their own thermostat. creamy coleslaw was bland city. apparently no product consistency with this. service very slow Not sure if this is a corporate-owned store or a franchise, but they sure could/should do better. Doubt we will be back to this location even though it is right by our house.

Disgusting fries, disgusting burger. On my burger I paid extra for bacon and got no bacon on it. My girlfriend got a milkshake and there was something small and black inside, looked like an insect. And this place has an A rating? They must have paid off the health inspector. To continue, the fries were not flavorful and disgusting. I rarely put ketchup on my fries but I had to this time. Tried this place for the first time in MO, NY locations won’t be getting my money.

This place is freaking slow. 20 minutes to get drinks. Also ordered from the 4.99 menu at the same time. The waiter was a complete idiot. Didn’t enter our order in at all. Then when we got our drinks they didn’t bring out half of them. I has to remind the of my side salad It was another 15 minutes before our food order came out and was wrong and part if it was wrong. Total time 1 hr before we finally got our order Granted the manager comped our order and the waiter apologized but I won’t be back

We’ve been to this location five times and each time we had an awesome experience. The servers are friendly, attentive, and accurate; the food is fast, fresh, and delicious every time. I was surprised to read negative reviews. Looks like things are looking up and worth another visit.

Very happy to see I’m not the only one. I have lived near and gone to this Steak ‘n Shake for 15 years. In the past few years the service has gone completely out the window. I will no longer go to this location. After giving them a number of second chances they continue to consistently forget half of my order and the quality is crap. I highly recommend driving an extra 10 minutes to a different location if this is what your craving. The quality of the burgers and melts has declined drastically. Opening up a wrapper to find a burger where the buns aren’t even on top of the patties is a joke. It is obvious that they don’t care about their work here. AVOIDTHISLOCATION

R U Kidding! Refuse to serve people at night in drive thru… ? One customer inside — I did not want to bother going in. When I drive away wondering why the guy opened the business & why did workers and even pretend to show up — it’s not a good thing.

I used to work at a Steak n Shake years ago as a waiter. This Steak n Shake was ok. My fries were a little cold but the burger was warm. I told the lady we needed a few minutes to look over the menu since we had my son and my niece with us and she said ok, but continued to stand at our table… it was a bit awkward. We all felt a little rushed to order. I am not a clean freak but the floors were really dirty as well as the bathroom having tissue paper all over the place. They could have used a good cleaning.

After reading the other reviews here I am not sure that mine will matter. My family LOVES Steak n Shake, but this location is TRULY a JOKE. I first started becoming a regular to this location about a month ago. 2 Scrambled eggs, Sausage, and a Large Iced Tea. This special order was a problem 4 days in a row. First day the food was fine, but they had no tea, do I want soda instead… no I say. I don’t drink soda. Next day the total was nearly twice as much because there was apparently some confusion over whether it was 2 scrambled eggs or two orders of scrambled eggs. They obviously erred to their favor. Still no tea at 7am. I confirmed that 2 eggs was one order, so the next day no problem right? Wrong. and 3rd day still no tea. Fourth day no food problems, but STILLNOTEA. So I quit going. Last week I started again. However, I solved my tea problem by stopping by QT on my way in… 1 Single Burger plain(for my dog) 1Double No Cheese, Mustard, Pickles, and Onions I had to repeat my order at least 3 times EVERYDAY and at least two times got cheese and/or ketchup. And it isn’t one particular employee either. It must be all of them because I have dealt with(pardon my nicknames) Hitler Youth(dark, greasy hair parted like Hitler), Chunky Dave(Dave is not his real name, but he is scruffy and is heavy set), and Good Burger(an African American male with dreads who has apparently never seen a debit card before or spent his break doing more than listening to Bob Marley). Anywho…I am through with this location. One pointer for them though… the ketchup sprayed up on the drive thru window is about 2 months old now. I know they aren’t doing anything when I get there, so perhaps that may be a good place to start.

I like Steak & Shake’s but this location SUCKS… I’ll never go back. Poor Management(I think the guys name was Jake) He looked dirty and screw off for 45min wile I waited for my food to be served at the counter. Slow-Slow-Slow The manager was flirting with the help and had two of his friends(getting free food) hanging at the counter he showing off to.

Everyone knows to go through the drive thru at Steak n Shake is taking your chances on a R E A L L Y long wait time. So, when I had to go pick up breakfast yesterday morning for us and a guest, I figured I would bypass the drive thru and place my order inside. I ordered at the counter and all was fine. Order was placed at 10:01 am according to my receipt. I waited at the end of the counter. And waited and waited and waited. I watched the guy making the food. One guy making food but the place wasn’t busy at all so whatever. After I placed the initial order, there wasn’t a single word spoken to me from the employees. No ‘sorry about your wait’ or any other niceties. At 10:31, about the time I would have run out of gas had I went through the drive thru, I finally asked the guy with whom I had placed the order what the ETA was on my food. He asked the guy cooking(who also seemed to be the guy in charge) and the cook indicated the bag that had been sitting at the counter for quite some time was mine. No one had bothered to tell me. So I waited 30 minutes for food that was cold and pretty gross by the time I got it home. Awesome. I want my $ 17 back. I tried to leave feedback on their website but it always times out. Awesome. Also, I saw another example of really good customer service while I sat at that counter for half an hour. The guy who was taking the counter orders told the cook that a guy at another table complained because he had a hair in his skillet. The cook asked which person it was and the other guy told him. Later, when that guy came up to pay, his female server was ringing him out, she told him the total and he asked if anything would be done about the hair in his skillet. She asked the cook if anything would be done and the cook played dumb and said, «there was a hair in your food? why didn’t anyone inform me?» Whatta dirty liar. I wanted to call him out on it but, you know, I still didn’t have MY food and all.

Not as good as the first time I had Steak ‘n Shake. I had one of the $ 4 items, so that may have been why. I think I had some sort of steak melt last time. The Bananaberry shake, however, was very good. Half of the shake is banana and the other half is strawberry.
