China Buffet King

Disgusting.
The food was inedible. Whatever didn’t taste funky tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The waitresses and staff were expressionless and barely said three words to us the entire time we were there. The bathroom was covered with graffiti, on both the walls and stall divider. The place as a whole felt like, after they built it, they hadn’t put any care into it since. My girlfriend and I both felt sick from the time we ate yesterday until this morning.
I thought maybe the dessert would be the saving grace, but it was even worse somehow. Everything tasted fake. Fake chocolate, fake cookies, fake brownies. The cherry on top was the cream puffs. Both of the ones I tried were stale on the outside; one had a filling which was akin to a stale marshmallow, and one didn’t even have filling in it.
I can’t recommend that anyone go here. Don’t get lured by the low price or any of these «someone probably paid me to write this» 5-​star reviews. You’re better off somewhere else.

Disgusting place. Unkept, dirty tables. Charged my friend even though he ate just before and ordered a single iced tea. A total rip off. Screw his place no wonder the reviews are so terrible. Stay away from this madhouse.

The average place, pretty good selection of items. Thing it’s a franchise & pretty standards all across.

Excellent buffet, really good price for great food. Unusually they have a «brunch» buffet on a Sunday, which was a wonderful surprise. Amazing selection and lots of dishes you don’t always see at buffets. Soft serve ice cream which is always my favorite. Microwave too, which the food was plenty warm, but I like the option of heating my food until it’s almost hot enough to burn my mouth :)

Just Don’t. I’m sorry. My first and last visit. I encountered undercooked shrimp, salty and over processed food. Nothing was fresh. The crab legs smelled like ammonia. It’s all you can eat but you shouldn’t eat anything. I hope they improve.

Absolutely disgusting omg. Everything I ate was nasty even the ice cream. The service was tolerable. If you don’t like seafood then don’t come WASTE OF MONEY. YUCK YUCK. The dessert they probably got from the store. Even the fruit wasn’t good. Again if you are allergic or just don’t like seafood this place isn’t for you. My brothers who are seafood lovers loved their dinner while my mom loved their salmon. I hated everything. It depends on you.

This is my favorite Chinese buffet!
I’ve been coming here for almost 6 years and my husband and I just love it. The food is extremely delicious!!! Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. They have a variety of so many things. They even have a sushi section with fresh sushi and sauces. Also, their salad bar is a plus.
My regular dishes are the Garlic shrimp, string beans, mushrooms, and the potatoes. The potatoes are sooooo tasty.
My only dislike is the fountain sodas that they offer. It tastes «ok» but it’s not horrible.
They’re good for large groups and I always see people hold parties there in the party room.
This buffet never disappoints.

This place is so dirty smells and an elderly man saw roach on the booth and table he told waiter and waiter just smiled smashed roach with a napkin and walked away. When man asked to speak to manager he said he wasnt there. Please do not support this business. I couldn’t finish my food

If you headed to McDonalds and decided to come here then you’ve made a good choice. For about the same price you can have a variety ant lunch but beware sometimes too much variety means that there are a few good tasting items and the rest disgusting. The desserts were stale and most dishes were less than ok. There was a shrimp and squash dish that was really good. simple and worth the price of the entire lunch. I wouldn’t go here for a night out but if you are in a rush and need a quick bite, inexpensive and don’t have time to wait around, this place is perfect.

This Is a great place. There are many choices that you can choice from. There are reasonable prices. But the service could be a little better and the bathroom could be more updated and cleaned more. But other then that I’d still eat there.

Love coming here. I’ve been coming for 12 years. Service is good. Love the food. All I ask is the bathroom needs a make-​over. I’ll never stop coming.

Horrible horrible horrible … Did I mention horrible? … I’m surprised this place is even still standing. The food is gross, cold, and some selections under cooked. Save your money and go else where !!!

This place has only declined over the years. Their food is so gross. Just don’t go, save your money and your family. There are many other buffets in Long Island!

Dine or Ditch?
Dine (hardly)… Your fortune says «it will be ok»
Honestly, I was on the fence with this place. I’ve been here a number of time. My grandparents really enjoy it and to be honest, it’s not bad for a cheap Chinese buffet. That said, don’t expect a high caliber experience. This is really a perfect example of «you get what you pay for.»
Having been here time and time again I will say the soups I’ve had (wonton, egg drop, hot and sour) are usually good. They tend not to keep the wonton in stock so if you want it you may have to find someone to ask for more.
As for the rest of their food, I have explored a fair amount and I’ve found the basics are usually on par. Egg rolls, chicken skewer, shrimp toast, and dumplings are all good apps. I’ve also found their standard Chinese dishes to be good. Lo mein, general tao, chicken and broccoli, steak and peppers, BBQ ribs, virtually anything within that realm of food. The fruits and desserts are all good. They find good bananas and watermelon and it’s nice to get to finish the meal on a healthy note. Less healthy options, if you’re just looking to go all out, such as the soft serve ice cream, apple pie, or the sugar doughballs (oddly near the egg rolls and other apps) are also a nice treat.
On the flip side I would advise against anything that doesn’t seem to fit. Pizza, pigs in a blanket, odd crab dishes, mashed potatoes that are probably just out of a bag, and some others. Even the sushi doesn’t really strike me as something they should really be offering. Really if you stand there and go «odd, they have (insert food you wouldn’t expect)?» just don’t take it.
There are a couple things that bother me. One is the hoops you need to jump through to get their attention for another pot of tea or glass of water. It seems like it’s almost intentional that they avoid you in hopes you just give up. The other thing is they ALWAYS try to cheat you on the bill. Often they will add things (like today we were charged the dinner rate at 2pm) and they will never take off for seniors despite the fact that my grandparents are there weekly and my grandmother is in her 80s. It’s just a bit annoying that they act like they’ve forgotten each time.
Ultimately, don’t come here with high expectations and you won’t be disappointed. It’s fine for what it is, but nothing more than that.

Been here plenty of times, but this is my first Unilocal review. The food is always good always hot and fresh. Got here to see them putting out the fresh sushi. So I’m a happy camper. The clam chowder and egg drop soup are my favorites. I love the wait staff, extremely attentive. Had the duck, crispy skin but greasy. Left full and satisfied

$ 12 a person but there food is really good. Everything is always hot and fresh. Not food sitting there all day. The snow crab legs were a little too salty for me. Didn’t really care for them.

I have an iron stomach and I felt so nauseous when I left here. Not to mention the worst part. When I go in with my 1 year old child I ask the lady who you pay «is her free» she looks at me with such anger and angrily shakes her head «yea» then she is staring at me the whole time and the place is so dirty. You will never catch me there again in my life

Nothing spectacular, however I will say there was
–ample seating
–a nice selection of food
Sushi, octopus, crab legs and they also pizza, mashed potatoes and roast beef
–the staff was ok…

Why is this place so dirty? This is a standard Chinese buffet stuff which makes them not so special. They do have stone crabs which I saw a lot of people get. Their price is reasonable. When the restaurant is that dirty, usually the kitchen is dirty as well. I am not sure if I feel safe eating in China Buffet King. There are many chances that you can get cross contamination. I saw one of the employees remove the old food tray and put the new one in and pour the old food on top of the new food. I know for fact that they are not supposed to do that. I know it might not be a big deal to some of you, but can you imagine if they do not follow this rule what else do they do inside the kitchen?
However, the service was quick and our plates were removed before we came back to our seats. It is cheap so if you have a big family, that would be good for you.
It’s an okay buffet, but can definitely clean it up a bit. Crab legs draw a lot of people to this place.
