Came here recommended. It’s a nice little joint that offers freshly prepared fish. I got the trout, she got the salmon plate. You can choose from a number of standard sides with some Israeli and other middle eastern offering. The fish was really good! Big takeaway for me was to get the Persian rice and some grilled veggies on the side.

Not the place to go if you are finicky about ambiance and service. The staff is very sweet and kind and they know how to cook fish. The grilled sea bream is excellent and always cooked perfectly. Very nice choice of sides with plentiful portions. The Israeli salad is simple and plain, chopped cucumber and tomatoes, no salt, no dressing, fries are also unsalted so you may want to give them a dash of salt if you’re getting take-out. If you are a fish lover you’ll appreciate the natural goodness of Fish in the Village.

The fish here is delicious, with huge portions at great prices. The whole Sea Bream was perfectly cooked, just watch out for the bones. The teriyaki salmon was excellent, too, and a massive portion with crisp fries. The grilled tilapia was very good, 2 huge filets, with delicious grilled veggies(whole carrots were great). The Persian rice was good, but the Israeli salad was not seasoned, so didn’t have much flavor. Still healthy though. I’m pretty sure the hummus was Sabra, but it’s good spicy hummus with warm pitas. The coleslaw is pretty good. Gotta try the fish tacos next time; they looked great and there was a large Hispanic family with a table full of them. The place also sells fresh fish. Friendly staff.

Village fresh fish place serving fish tacos, plates, and sandwiches. Good food that is worth the wait. I usually order the fish tacos.

LOVE this place! The food is great and the customer service is even better. I eat here about twice a week because I live and work within walking distance. The portions are good and the food taste delicious. If you are hungry and in the area try this place, you will not regret it! CHEERS…

I really love this place. Just writing this review makes me tempted to go there. I’ve been here maybe five or six times with different people and everyone I go with loves it. I always order the same thing, grilled salmon with roasted veggies and baked potato. The salmon taste so fresh as perfectly seasoned. The roasted veggies is my favorite side dish. Yes I think the décor needs a little vamping up but honestly it’s a mom and pop shop and I’m there for the food. The owner is very nice, he is very busy which I can understand why some people think he can be rude but I don’t think he is rude at all. He is always personable when we get up to the register and always smiling. One time I left my leftover box behind after paying and he ran out side and waved us down as we were backing out of the parking spot. He is such a nice person. I would definitely recommend this place and I have to many people.

The 3 stars is for the food. I ordered half order of grilled tilapia with veggies and Israeli salad. Tilapia — good nothing special Grilled veggies — tasty but nothing special Israeli salad — do not get this. No flavor what so ever Fish and chips — good Tartar sauce tasted like potato salad dressing. I didn’t mind. Owner was so nice and helpful and said, «2 bottles of water of the house!» But the guy brought 2 cups of fountain water. We didn’t say anything… A guy came in trying to sell the owner a fake necklace and the owner haggled with him for awhile as we waited behind him to pay the check. — if it were me I would have told him to step aside and wait.

This may have been the best piece of salmon I’ve ever had! So tasty and fresh. The grilled veggies and coleslaw were amazing as well. Very friendly staff. Wish I lived closer. Worth the extra couple bucks for such good food.

Went here to try their fish. I had the fish and chips with coleslaw. It might be because they’re inexperienced with how to prepare the food? The coleslaw was sour and very crunchy with very little dressing, it was almost like eating raw cabbage and carrot. The fish was in thin strips, very chewy, and dry. The fries were average and unseasoned. It’s located in a small strip mall with a very narrow parking lot. Maneuvering your vehicle is difficult. Won’t be returning and can’t recommend it.

WORST service, food is mediocre and price doesn’t justify what you get. Order an Isreali salad if you will seriously be disappointed at the sad looking tomatoes and cucumber with just a pinch of parsley. Flies everywhere and definitely not fresh at all(it was room temperature to make it taste even more gross). Their big potato is sad as well(don’t order it). The coleslaw tasted like bad as well. My friend ordered the salmon and it was a season well either but I least her plate didn’t cost almost $ 28 including tax. Looks like they raised their Chilean sea bass plate price from $ 17.99 to $ 25.99 and God knows what else. The owner is very greedy(stingy on EVERYTHING& don’t even try to complain about anything) and he’s very mean. Nothing’s seasoned right and I don’t want such an unhappy man cooking my meals anyway. $AVEYOURMONEY, DON’T GOHERE!!!

Pro’s: the staff is very friendly and attentive. We called in our order for pick-up and it was ready on time. They give large portions. We got fish and chips. The fish was so good! They accept cash and cards. Con’s: located in a shopping complex with an incredibly small parking lot. Coming here during lunch is nearly impossible. The fries we ordered were soggy. There were no holes cut into the styrofoam containers to keep it from steaming up. The tartar sauce was in a tiny container and not enough for the huge portion of fish. We also ordered a side of coleslaw that we did not finish. It tasted like it went sour already.

The fried sea bream is so delicious. You really should try it at least once before you die. No seriously. Thinking about it now makes me want to go back for dinner.(I have literally just finished the whole fish – when my initial intention was to eat only half, and take the rest to go – my taste buds are still on cloud 9 and my tummy is oh so happy.) Why can’t every fish restaurant be like this one? Note that parking can be tricky. I saw people double parking, and I came around 1 on a Thursday. The place is definitely popular!

I really enjoyed my grilled sea bream at Fish in the Village, but service was a bit off. The guy who took our order looked confused. Perhaps he was new but he kept asking me if I wanted fried or grilled fish. I think he asked me about 7 – 8 times before it finally stuck. It took a while for our food to get to our table, but I guess I can attest that they grill to order. Maybe next time I’ll call ahead of time and pick up my food. The guy wouldn’t break my $ 20 so he couldn’t get a better tip.

Come for the food not the service. 5 stars delicious! Light, different, healthy, wow! Okay, the service got better towards the end and they seemed extremely grateful for our business. God bless them!!!

I ordered grilled salmon from here for lunch. When I arrived, I saw that they also had Salmon shish kabob and thought to myself«I wish I had ordered that instead». When the owner approached me, he told me that someone else took my order instead of taking their shish kabob salmon. Needless to say I was very satisfied LOL This was the BEST salmon I have had so far, and I am NOT exaggerating. It was juicy and well done. I“m definitely coming back to this place for more fish…

Ok I’m not even gonna lie… but we all know eating fish that you don’t make at home is always like playing a little Russian roulette… you never know if that one place you try that serves fish is gonna be the bullet in the chamber that finally gets you! And BAM! You are dun son! Nothing is worse than a case of some food poisoning brought on by some bad seafood. Ugh!!! But you know what? I am here to testify… after my buddy recommended this place for us to try for lunch today… that I am happily still standing 9 hrs later here to write my review! We ordered the tilapia plates for takeout one with Persian rice and cucumber salad and one with all grilled vegetables. And let me just say… the star of the show… the fish… was incredible! So incredible that I forgot to take a damn picture of our meals because we were too busy throwing down so hard on em! They were seasoned perfectly, light and flakey and just the right amount moistness left in em. Both really good and came with 2 big pieces. The side dishes were good and I think that no matter what you pick to go with your fish that that will be fine but the fish… off the hook! No pun intended! Now the place is small and aesthetically challenged let’s say. I mean mom and pops who own this little spot aren’t gonna win any restaurant digest awards for décor anytime soon so don’t come for the looks but rather come for the food. It’s stuck in the corner of this little shopping center so forget about a lot of windows or natural light coming inside but it’s quaint. I wouldn’t come to eat there with no more than 4 of you since it’s not that big inside and the food tasting good even on takeout just goes to show that you really don’t have to eat there if you don’t want to. I’m giving this place 4 stars on quality of food alone and that he didn’t kill me with his fish the first time I’m going there so that goes a long way in my book. Not to mention based off of the menu I saw on the wall… I definitely want to go back to try some more options.

On a whim, decided to finally hit this place up and cross it off my list of bookmarks. I won’t lie, place looked suspect. Somewhat seedy looking strip mall. We stood around for about 5 minutes before the bus boy told us to go sit down and another 5 minutes before we were handed menus… it was complete chaos, no joke, customers coming in to pick up their to go orders and growing impatient by the second… the two people on staff were running around trying to deal with waiting customers, all this was going on while we waited. That’s what the entire experience at Fish in the Village felt like, a complete waiting game. Not great for hangry people, luckily my pangs of hunger weren’t steady on my radar. So, somewhere in between the chaos we ordered and eventually our food arrived about 15 mins later: Two hot plates of grilled veggies, grilled red trout, french fries for him and Persian rice for me and a side of grilled tomatoes. Everything tasted delicious, sure the rice was a pinch too salty for me but I liked it. Their rendition of tartar sauce however is confusing, it tastes more like the dressing of an egg salad. Grilled veggies and fish were the main attractions, french fries a sure second. The place did get a little smoky from all the grilling going on in the kitchen and wished they would’ve propped the door open, oh well, I burned a few calories while fanning myself with a piece of paper. At the end of it all, we went up front to pay our bill and the cashier, let’s call him Guy #2, accidentally rang us up for the white trout which was more expensive and he couldn’t figure out how to undo it… Out comes Guy #1 and remedies the situation and asked how our meal was. He profusely apologies and explains two of their chefs were out sick — a ha! That totally explains all the chaos! So, I was set on giving this place 3 stars but that little extra nugget of hospitality was a real kicker, plus the food was great, I settled on a fair 4 stars. I will come back eventually to try their fish tacos.
