Joel’s Pizza Palace

Love, love, love this place! A friend brought this pizza to our house for New Year’s Eve a few years ago and we have been loyal customers ever since. It’s wonderful to be able to eat real New York style pizza again! Joel also does a kick-​a** job catering. We hired him to cater our grandfather’s 90^th birthday and everyone raved about the quality and quantity of food. Prices are reasonable as well.

They have the best NY style pizza in the Bloomingdale area hands down. Don’t waste your time going down the street. We enjoyed the calzones too. Reasonably priced and fast service.

I had the pleasure of ordering from this establishment today for a business lunch. One of the members of our team wanted deep dish, Chicago-​style pizza and it was listed on the menu here. I called and ended up speaking to the owner, Joe, and he pointed me towards the Double Pizza. He spoke so glowingly about it that I had to take his opinion and I ordered one straight away for pickup.
Upon arrival, it was Joel who was in fact making my pizza. When I arrived he insisted on showing me the pizza in progress and his pride beamed from his face and from the oven as he continued to assemble the pie. I have to admit that it was an impressive Beast of a pizza. Everyone enjoyed every bite but more enjoyable than that was the love that he obviously has for his product and his customers. I will be back as often as Pizza is on the menu and have heard through the grapevine that his wings are awesome too.

This is a good solid pizza place. No frills just good food. Always consistent. We’ve eaten there a lot and always enjoy.
We spur of the moment ordered 7 pizzas from them and they accommodated very quickly!

My husband and I stopped here to curb our appetite after a day of mountain biking. The location is cute and the place is small but clean. We ordered a medium pizza and it was a very decent size, with large slices. The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavor was great.
A tip that I want to add for the owners is that the photocopied menus are hard to read. I understand this is a cost cutter but upgrading would make a great difference. Besides the menu issue, this is a nice little place for pizza!

My mom and brother rave about this place so since I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by. Very pleased with their lunch special of two slices and a drink. The young man at the counter was very attentive and polite. I will definitely be back!

I had the Supreme Pizza there last night. LOL, I am eating it this morning for Breakfast. In my opinion, this is one of the better tasting Pizza’s in the Brandon area. Personally, I like more cheese and sauce on my Pizza’s, but the crust was very good. If it had more cheese and sauce, I could have easily given it 4 stars, maybe 5?

Best place for pizza. The girls that work here are amazing. The owner is such a nice guy and I hope he continues to grow his business. Everyone I bring here to try the pizza says its the best around.

If you’re looking for atmosphere, go somewhere else. If you’re looking for giant saucy chicken wings (for a good price) and great NY Style pie, this is the place. I was pretty surprised. I got a slice and 10 wings for $ 11 which I think is cheap. Try the teriyaki.

Picked up pizza from here last night and we’ve had it a couple times before. This is one pizza that my kids love… they don’t enjoy most pizza (apparently I birthed aliens instead of children) but my son bit into this and said «This is delicious.» We had a 18″ with pepperoni an bacon and it was very yummy!

Delicious !! So pleased to have found this place. The whole family loved it !

I have been craving New York style pizza for a while and we were told to go to Joel’s. I am so happy we went, the crust was crispy but had a good flavor and was not dry to say the least! I usually do not eat crust but Joel’s was perfect. We got the meat lovers 18 inch which had a ton of fresh toppings and oozed with cheese. This was our cheat meal so after we ate about 2 slices a piece (we were truly full) we took the rest home and shared with our neighbor who had it the next day for lunch. She’s from New York and loved it. We havel all planned to definitely go back ! Everyone was nice, knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure our cups were refilled without us having to ask and the have oregano and red peppers and parmesan which is a big plus, even though most restaurants carry parmesan and red pepper, not many have oregano. It was a great experience, you will not be disappointed. I have been to many pizza places looking for New York style pizza and I can honestly say I can stop looking !

They have the best chicken wings! Pizza is okay! Gave them four stars for their wings!

We love Joel’s. We’ve been loyal pizza and wing customers for years. While I wish the veggies on the pizzas were a bit more cooked, you can’t beat the size, price, flavor and quality of their cheese pizza. Their wings are delicious and well priced. We’ve had their greek salad which is good as well as their hot and cold subs. We’ve tried their pasta dishes but we are very picky about our sauces so we have stayed clear of them. Joel has even come in early on a Sunday to accommodate an order i placed for my kids’ birthday party. If you haven’t tried this place, you have to. We are from Boston and good pizza is a must :-). I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

This little gem might be tucked away, but it is worth the trip. Very good pizza, fresh Greek salads, luscious pasta dishes, and the Zeppole (dessert) are a must have!

Yummy! Lunch special $ 5 for 2 slices and a drink, can’t beat that price. The staff is Friendly and the NY style pizza is delicious!

So I’ve lived in Riverview for two years now and I’ve finally found my favorite pizza spot. Half cheese half pepperoni with extra cheese! A little greasy due to the extra cheese but that’s to be expected. Nothing a few napkins couldn’t take care of. As I took the first slice out the cheese stretched to the point where I had to grab it with my fingers and shove it in my mouth. I instantly new the pizza was going to be great! My wife and son both agreed that this is the best we’ve had yet in the Brandon area. I only hope they are consistent!

We had the Veggie Supreme pizza — excellent pizza. It was loaded with big chucks of all the veggies (including shrooms — online menu typo), a lightly applied but sweet sauce, elastic and flavorful cheese all sitting on firm, crisp crust.
The atmosphere is relaxed. The NFL playoff game was on the TV while a family of loyal customers was conversing with Joel and crew. My wife and I happily stuffed our faces with warm garlic knots.

The food is delicious. Best pizza I’ve had in a while. New York style and great service. Has a mom and pops feel to it. Definitely something you want to try. I’ve tried lots of different things at this restaurant and leave happy every time.

My first time here I asked the gal at the counter the difference between Sicilian and their regular pizza, she said I think it’s the spices. She thinks?! I asked if she would find out the difference. Turns out it square not round and a lot thicke. That’s a pretty big difference! How can you have someone working the counter who doesn’t know your menu?
We opted for the regular. It was terrible! Way to thick to be considered NY style.
