I would describe this place as a quaint hole in the wall consisting of standard Middle Eastern food. Parking was excruciating but after coming here with date for a quick bite, I would revisit again for friendly service & standard/good food. I arrived with the Beef Shwarma Wrap in mind, due to the top notch reviews and tempting photos. I was satisfied, but not blown away. The meet was tender, but I could tell that it wasn’t fresh. The jalapeño inside gave a nice kick of spice. The dish came with a side of fries as well as a beautiful portion of hummus. I did in fact finish everything, which says a lot. I also ordered the lentil soup, which came with a small side of chips and was absolutely delicious. Probably the highlight of the experience. My date ordered the chicken and rice plate and wasn’t able to finish more than half. The rice with small noodles was very average and the chicken was cooked well, but was a little dry. She too, preferred the lentil soup over her order. Overall, the service here was standard with a smile. This place gives you the feel that you are in someone’s house for dinner with the way they treat you, which is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have no clue what the hype is about. I drove from San Gabriel valley to try this place since it seemed like a good place to try out. It tastes good but I wouldn’t say this is the best I’ve ever had. Does deserve a 4 star for great service though. And the Kobee is filling so thumbs up for that. Ambiance: kinda a hole in a the wall. Very limited parking and very little seating. Service: fast and friendly Price: decent. $ 8-$ 12 for a filling meal.

I came here for lunch since I was in the area running errands. I have never eaten Syrian food until I came here. The beef kabob plate was amazing except for the hummus. The hummus was a bit toooo smooth for my liking. The texture was like smooth peanut butter. The chopped tomato & cucumber salad had the right amount of spices & was incredibly delish! The beef kabobs weren’t tooo salty & very flavorful. The parking was a bit of a problem. Toooo few spaces. Better to park on the street nearby. The price wasn’t toooo bad, & the employees were kind & helpful. I’ll definitely be back to try other things.

Words can’t convey how awesome the steak fillet plate is! I would love to speak about the other dishes but this one is so good I’ve always came back for it. Nice people and great food!

Restaurant smells of butter, yum. Chicken Schwarma wasnt the normal prep im used to, but tasted delish. Good hummus, good side salad, love that its atop pilaf vs. just standard rice. Good spot.

So I truly have no clue how this place has 5 stars? WTF? I would give it a negative 2 stars if that was possible. As you can tell from all my reviews, I absolutely never write poor reviews. I took a chance on eating here only because of the ratings; however, I feed my dogs better food then I was served here. Please forgive me for writing this but happens to be 100% true! No one was at the register when I walked in because she was taking a #2 in the restroom who knows if she cleaned her hands(this is not my issue though). Everyone at my table ordered shawarma(chicken & beef) and it’s usually shaved, this was diced up and not fresh saw them personally taking it out of the fridge from Tupperware. I was trying to be as positive as possible, but when I received my food I almost threw up. Looks terrible, smells even worse and no one at our table was even able to finish half of there portion. We basically ate around the meat(rice, salad). If you like middle eastern food, understand food and overall are a foodie… Absolutely don’t eat here! It’s not food it’s poison, wouldn’t even feed my dog this food. Once again, I absolutely never write bad reviews, but this was just absolutely the worst meal I have had in my whole entire life including for our whole table. We were all absolutely shocked that people can actually give this place 5 stars. It’s probably all fake reviews! Anyways I’m sorry but you guys need help with your food quality, otherwise the only positive thing I can say is that staff was fairly nice and treated us well! Otherwise, I’m nauseous thinking of the food I was served as I write this. Sorry for poor review, but the people need to know the truth!

Extremely delicious! Very clean environment and friendly service. We had the Kobee platter which included hummus and a yogurt cucumber salad, all was delicious and beautifully spiced. We also tried the yogurt drink which is a savory yogurt drink with spices and nicely compliments the pickled, spicy vegetables. We additionally tried a grilled chicken platter with a fresh salad, hummus and beautiful rice. Yum! Very unique flavors, we will be back.

VERYNICE lady running her restaurant here with an assistant cook in the back. Almost felt like being at someone’s home for dinner. Ordered the shawarma plate and it was tasty. The issue is it came with a very few amount of slivers of meat and a plate of rice. Should the ratio of meat to rice change, I will be back. FYI, poor parking with just a few in front of restaurant!

Amid the ocean of car dealers is this small restaurant. The inside is kept very clean Seating accommodations inside only, 5 – 6 tables Service is friendly What I ordered: Medium Tabbouleh $ 4.99 — diced tomatoes with finely chopped parsley, bulgar, and onion seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Very fresh and cold salad with good flavor Kobee bbq served with cucumber yogurt salad and humus $ 11.99 — Kobee is their signature meat entrée. The mixture consists of ground beef, wheat, pine nuts and onions. The bbq Kobee is likened to a hamburger patty, but the outside is a soft crisp layer of wheat filled with ground beef, pine nuts and onion. Texture is soft and light, goes well with the cucumber yogurt salad and humus. Service + Hygiene + Portion/price + Food quality + Taste + Recommended +

As we were paging through Unilocal looking for dinner options, I was struck by Kobee Factory and the fact that it seems that everyone gives this place 5 stars. Could this place really be that spot-on all of the time? Turns out that the answer is a resounding«yes.» Kobee Factory isn’t much to look at from the outside. Nestled in a mini strip mall, the bright blue walls take on a strange glow from the unflinching overhead lighting. A small counter is there to place your order, and there are just a few small tables in the dining area. But the stark and spartan interior yields to a true aura of warmth once you step up to the counter to place your order. The lady who runs this place is super gracious and seems genuinely excited to share her food with her customers. During our first visit, she took the time to explain every dish and what she likes about it, and she even offered an option that wasn’t on the menu: a filet mignon kebab. The food is superb. There’s nothing fancy about it, but everything is just so well-done, from the texture of the eponymous kobee, to the absolutely dynamite kebabs. The filet mignon is a heck of a deal, as you get a sizeable chunk of meat that is lean and tender and cooked to perfection. This is the kind of place I like when I’m in the mood for some comfort food. It’s filling, it’s flavorful, but most importantly, you get the sense that you’re eating something prepared with a lot of care by someone who is personally invested in the quality of the food and your experience. Highly recommended.

Like Brian B, we were looking for a new place near us, and came across Kobee Factory in Unilocal.Small(maybe 6 or 7 tables), very clean, and we were greeted by Wafa, the welcoming and warm owner of this restaurant opened 13 months ago. Wafa patiently educated us on Syrian food. Although we have eaten Middle Eastern food many times, I was unfamiliar with Kobee. It is a Syrian staple made with ground beef, etc. stuffed into a bun, and prepared 3 different ways. I opted for the BBQ Kobee, not spicy. Sam ordered a combo of chicken and beef kabob. Also ordered a small lentil soup to split. I told Wafa that we have been going to another similar restaurant on Woodman Ave for years. She said they have very good food(plus for her honesty), and wanted us to compare her food. First up the soup, which was sooo good, and fried chips, yummy. I watched her oversee the cooking very closely, and then she served the main dishes. My plate contained 3 of the buns, hummus, a cucumber and yogurt salad, pickeled beets and cucumber(pickel). Sam’s dish had 3 pcs of chicken, 1 kabob, rice, hummus and the veggies. We tasted each others, and I have to tell the truth… each item was delicious, fresh, seasoned perfectly and served with a smile. The hummus may be the best I have ever eaten, and I’ve eaten it everywhere I go. The chicken, I avoid because it is usually dry and bland, was moist and tender. The BBQ Kobee had a slight kick, which made me pleased that I didn’t order it spicy and I so enjoyed it. We enjoyed every item served, was made to feel at home by Wafa, and we look forward to returning soon. I asked her about her catering, and her description got us to thinking of when we can have her cater a gathering, and we look forward to that. I am very picky about what I eat… I have no patience for mediocre preparation, quality of ingredients and/or service. I don’t hesitate to recommend Kobee Factory to any and all. You will not regret how you will feel, and what you ingest. A real win-win, and Wafa is such a nice lady. What more could you want?

Delicious, flavorful food, great service, great prices. Was trying to break my slump of Thai and Mexican cuisine for something I hadn’t tried before(that’s one of the great things about LA, there’s always something new to explore, food wise!). I went for the beef shawarma plate. I don’t usually pay much attention to presentation or feel tempted to take a pic before diving in(I didn’t but still… I was tempted, haha) but I was impressed by how tasty and aesthetically pleasing everything looked. Sounds pretentious but I could tell effort went into it and give them props for it. The beef was cooked and marinated to perfection over a bed of rice, with hummus, tasty homemade pickles, and a small cucumber salad with juicy lemon flavour. The sauces were great too, again very flavourful. Such a simple yet satisfying meal. Excited to try the rest of the menu. Will definitely be back soon.

The reviews for this place are definitely spot on. I ordered the Shish Taouk(chicken breast over rice with salad and hummus). It took the pretty lady in the back 15 minutes to assemble the plate, but the wait was worth it. The chicken and rice were both moist and flavorful. The salad was crispy fresh with lemony dressing and the hummus had clearly just been made(creamy and decadent). I’m going back to try the Shwarma sandwich at some point, too. I imagine it is every bit as good as other Unilocalers say it is. I tried a piece of the Lavash bread in the basket on my table and it was warm and fresh — and I’m actually not a fan of this kind of bread! Just really darn good.

Nice little place. Didn’t try kobee, but shawarma plate was excellent although it could use a bit more meat and a bit less rice. However, very well prepared and not to greasy and overspiced. Amazing service. The lady was actually so nice to actually bring the food over to my car. Will come back when in the area.

Very modest restaurant belies the magic that lies inside. But let’s skip to the chase. How is the food? Fantastic. How is the service? Friendly and fantastic. Should you eat here? Absolutely. We had the kobee, two versions, the fried and the barbecue. Two different versions of awesome. The hummus was nice and smooth and creamy. I had a yogurt drink, freshly made, which was delicious. And the baklava, which is made there, was not too sweet. I like some other versions of baklava better, but this was still all good. But the stand-out was the kobee and the family-friendly service, as if you are in the living room of a warm, friendly person’s home. You can be really sure that we will be back. Or look at it this way. When was the last time you ever saw a restaurant with 124 reviews on Unilocal that gave FIVE stars? Yeah. Oh, I know.

I came here based on the Unilocal reviews and the place definitely lived up to the hype. The food here is excellent. The kobee or kibbee as it is often called, is amazing. I got it fried but it’s so tasty I’m sure the other versions are also good. I got the lamb special which I enjoyed, and the chicken shawarma sandwich which is also amazing. This place is definitely worth trying. The owner Wafa is very friendly.

I am really hooked on this place. I was really craving for some home cooking and as always, Chef wafa and her staff served some delicious home style cooked Syrian food. The food was simply awesome! +++ «today special”=== Stuffed grape leafs with rice, meat and spices. They were so tasty, zesty-lemony, cooked just perfect. +++ Beef Shawerman===Chunks of tender pieces of meat stuffed inside a wrap mixed with Tahini sauce, pickled beats and pickles. Then they place the sandwich on the grill and grill it on the outside until its golden brown crunchy. This was a delicious sandwich. Must try it out! +++ Stuffed Zucchini===Oh mama mia this is really a delicacy that you don’t see everyday in any restaurant. Stuffed zucchini with rice, meat and spices. Simmered in hot tomatoe sauce with herbs served in a bowl. Using a spoon, slicing into the stuffed zucchini, then get some of the stuffing smothered with the sauce and Wallahhhhhhhhhh… You just hit the jack pot buster. I was really eating like a pig, like someone who have not had any food in a week… Pigging out Syrian style… yeah baby! I really suggest that you call and ask them if they have any Special of the day. You really don’t want to mess out of the home cooking whenever its being offered or served. WARNINIG: Day special runs out fast so you better get there faster than an arrow or you just have to settle with the regular food in the menu which is outstanding as well. This places is really run buy good people. Friendly, helpful, generous, they care about you being satisfied and welling to please anyone.

OHMYGOSHBESTPLACEEVER. There are so many dishes to try here! The best dish is the«M Sareh». I have never tried anything like it before! The rice inside it is amazing! And of course we had to try the Kobee Barbecue and the Kobee Fried, which were also soooo good! The actual restaurant is very cozy. I love the way Wafa, the owner, was talking to us, as if we were family. When we finished eating, she offered us dessert which was basically on her«secret menu.» It was a pastry stuffed with cheese and it was drizzled with a lightly sweetened syrup. This place is one of those restaurants where you know the food is made just like home cooking. If you want to try this place out, go for it, you won’t regret it !
