Lulu’s Restaurant

Ordered lunch to be delivered one block away at work. It arrived timely. But the $ 11.99 turkey club sandwich was not very good. Looked slapped together and rushed. I always thought Lulu’s was a step up from Denny’s. But not when it comes to turkey clubs.

Don’t order from them on grubhub or eat24. It’s clear that they don’t pay much attention to the orders they receive for delivery. If you read the reviews people write on eat24 you’ll see that people
mention how they forget things in orders. I experienced that today, called and all they did was give me a «credit». It’s gonna go to waste cos I won’t order from here again.

Let me preface my review with the fact that my four stars are for the Delivery Option and Unilocal Features available! It was Valentine’s Day Morning, and my girlfriend and I didn’t want to face the ravages of crowds and wanted a breakfast a little more intimate without the mess of cooking ourselves. I checkout Unilocal and Lulu’s came up as a delivery option. Let me tell you right now, nothing better than ordering breakfast in the morning from a restaurant.
The portions were great, food was good olé’ comfort food. Highly recommended. The delivery driver was extremely courteous and super friendly!
However, calling the place, the first guy that answered the phone lacked a personality and really any customer service skills. After being abruptly put on hold, the second gentleman that picked up the phone was much better at speaking with customers and definitely friendlier.
My recommendation to the company is that you’ve got great food, please just train every employee to demonstrate Quality Customer Service which matches the quality of your food.

Lulu’s is another restaurant I’ve been going to for 25+ years. Though the menu has changed very little over the years the food is always great. I particularly enjoy the broasted chicken. It’s always crispy on the outside and juicy inside and far less greasy than fried chicken. The broasted potatoes that are served on the side are also crispy outside and fluffy on the inside.
I also enjoy the cheeseburger casserole. Served in a bowl with garlic bread on the bottom, a ½ pound beef patty, cheese all smothered in a not-​to-​spicy meaty chili.
The service is always excellent.

I mostly come in for breakfast they have this awesome breakfast specials menu with great prices for quality food. My usual plate is #2 2×2×2 it comes with eggs, pancakes, and bacon or sausage. I also order a side of country patatoes. The portions are pretty big so when I come I have to have a big appetite. The food has good flavor and they are great with any dislikes on your dish either they’ll fix it to your taste or take it back but they will take care of you.

Monica, our server, was very attentive and wonderful. Our food was delicious, as well! To start, we had the best tableside sourdough bread and butter i have ever had… so good! I had the tuna salad half sandwich, french onion soup, and potato salad. My mom had the tuna melt with French fries. We actually ended up switching sandwiches, I liked the tuna melt a little better and she liked the cold version. It was all very tasty, fresh and filling! We will definitely be coming here again soon.

HOLY GUAC A MOLE! This place is freaking awesome! I didn’t dine in, i ordered it straight from Unilocal.The service was phenomena in the way the delivery guy greated me. He was in a really good mood and was very talkative (which I don’t mind) Gave the man a tip due to the food beinh organized neatly as well as still being warm. Primarily I had called in and asked a few questions to make sure I knew what I was getting into! I ordered the sampler AND HOLY COW! This thing was meant for like 3 people! In size it was 10 stars, in taste it was 10 stars in presentation well it looked so unhealthy and damn it, i like unhealghy food at times. I definitely will return to experience the dine in portion and place an updated review. Great food.

Best tuna melt i’ve ever had!
So yesterday due to the hectic bullshit known as the Golden Globes we didn’t get a chance to break for lunch or dinner, so one of our supervisors kindly offered to go out and grab us a bite to eat.
None of us wanted played out McDonald’s or some other shitty (although sometimes delicious) fast food. We opted for this place and off he went.
I ordered the tuna melt. Man was it good. Tender tuna with crispy edges on toasted rye. Big motherfucker too! It came with a small side of potato salad that was decent, nothing special. It was a little pricey $ 11 bucks and change, but fuck it, I didn’t have to pay for it.

How to categorize Lulu’s, I see it’s listed as an American Traditional restaurant and «sports bar». I am not sure I get the sports bar tag that but 1 out of two ain’t bad. I have only been here for breakfast and lunch and not much else. It is hard to find a decent place for breakfast beyond IHOP or Denny’s in this area so I figured why not give Lulu’s a go, it had been eons since I had dined there.
They offer a decent selection for breakfast and some items you may not find everywhere.
Case in point the Chorizo Scramble. Minced chorizo and eggs just like the description. Chorizo can be oily and thankfully this was not overly fatty or oily with the right mix of egg and
sausage. The hash browns were crispy but lacked any flavor, frozen from a box or bag possibly?
Hard to mess up waffles but you can see the eggs and bacon were not much to write home about. Barely an egg it seems and the bacon had a chemical taste instead of a pleasing

Service was average at best we ordered strawberry’s and avocado on the side and they barely made it out before the meal had finished. Also of note the interior was clean and neat and they have a huge private parking lot. It’s the epitome of American style coffee shop food
with a touch of Lulu’s specials. I would dine again here but stop short of craving or going out of my way to do so.

Ordered here twice and have been satisfied both times. Friendly delivery people, fast delivery and phenomenal food. I’m a sucker for jalapeño poppers !
