So I haven’t had a lot of different items on the menu, but this is largely due to the fact that the gyros are so delicious!!! The people are very friendly and man are those gyros good. One of the better meals you can get! I go here on a weekly basis and sometimes more than once a week and the food is consistently great. Maybe one day Ill jump to something else on their menu but I just cant get over how delicious this gyros are. Highly recommended!

After reading Unilocal and not being able to try some of those food trucks in Portland, I decided to Unilocal this place. Wow, is there such thing as too much meat? This place was Fantastic. I had the Gyros with Feta ‘Wow’. You’ve got to stop by and try the place. It’s really Great!

Love the Gyro platter. Yummy food and nice servers. I’m American and love the platter. Tons of food for the money. The meat is very flavorful. Just the right amount of veggies and sauce. I get it with Feta cheese. Big meal and great value. The store is cool to pick up a couple of other things and try something new. Lots of good meats. If you want a yummy Gyro the best in Vancouver try it you won’t be disappointed.

Best Gyros in town without a doubt?” Years back my first experience trying a Gyros was a Greek owned tavern that opened just a 2 minute walk down the street from work where I and co-workers would go for lunch and sometimes stop after for a cold Beer and sometimes then too a Gyros which I would take one home when I was living single: this was In Portland Oregon; After marriage and later Retirement and moving to my present home in La Center I once even drove the distance to the same tavern and bought one half dozen to go for my family to try, But later this tavern sold to another and the new owners opened with a different menu. I tried one at a local fast food but there was no comparison? until I discovered Anoush Deli. these are just if not better than the ones I used to buy in Portland? they also have great Chocolate cakes which I must add are not overloaded with sugar like so much American pastry is? these my wife loves to purchase when family gathers as well as other foods from the Deli; this place although small has a great variety of exotic as well as everyday foods. my Russian Born wife absolutely loves this place and has placed it on her route on her regular shopping days: thank you., and I Larry from La Center 98629 whenever I need be in Vancouver have made it my Habit to stop and buy a gyros sometimes two to go?

Dad and I both had the gyro with feta and a soda. I used to come here years ago when I was a Realtor and working in the area and needed a quick lunch. The lamb is always perfectly seasoned and cooked to still be juicy and tender. Not dried out or tough as I have found some at other places to be. Lots of meat on the gyro. It’s a great deal for $ 6. The service was a little slow, but well worth the wait. The little cup of hummus with a pita was a little expensive for what you get(about ¼ C for $ 2) and I didn’t think it was very good. We also split a Napoleon which wasn’t worth the $ 3. It was pretty flavorless. I didn’t like that they use styrofoam cups for their water and soda. Not good for the environment. They have an incredible selection of meats and cheeses, as well as other food items, from around the world.

I’ve been here twice now for their Gyro and have to say it’s the best I’ve had in many, many years. When I lived in Portland used to frequent Foti’s Greek Deli on Burnside regularly(went there a year ago, found out it wasn’t Foti’s anymore, and it was terrible) and this is the only Gyro I’ve had in the PNW that compares to those. Not sure what the guy complaining about portions was talking about as the two I’ve had here were stuffed to the max. Also, the first time I ordered the greek salad was surprised it was a lettuce salad. The second time they made me the salad with just the tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, onion, feta cheese, and Kalamata olives, awesome! Planning on coming here at least once a month.

Sometimes you just have ta have a gyro! am I right? Although my mouth tastes like a garlic bomb right now, and I won’t be kissing anyone too soon LOL — its a good thing,& well worth it! Anoush European market and deli, has the bomb Gyro. The pita was fresh and soft. The tzatziki was so good I could’ve licked it! Or maybe I did LOL A generous portion of meat and fixings :-) this will definitely be my go to place for gyro now! The market itself had a great deli, A good selection of imported foods, and some homemade baked goods!

Bottom Line: 1st Place 2016 The Couve Gyro Throwdown. Best gyro in Clark County. This was the 4th gyro I tasted in the Couve and it was far above the other 3. I selected the top 4 from the«best gyro» in Vancouver search in Unilocal.I was surprised how nice it was on the inside, very clean and homey. The owner and his brother are super nice as were the young women in the back. Got my order in under 10 minutes. Ordered the gyro with feta and a European beer for a little under $ 10. Pretty amazing and it was a big bottle too. All of the beer was European/Eastern Block. I had no idea what I bought but it was pretty good. The gyro was awesome, on the same level as the best in Portland except for maybe 2. So what made it so good. #1THEMEAT5⁄5 — unlike many other gyro joints which use pre made frozen gyro slices, here they make their own meat, cook it on a rotisserie and shave it off when your sandwich is made. Now that is what separates good from great. Moist, tasty, and tender. #2THEPITAANDVEGETABLES4⁄5 — the pita was ok and the vegetables were fresh. Would like to see a few optional add on like peporicini or pickles. # 3 Sauce and Seasoning 3.5÷5 — if you get the feta, the flavor balance is good. Without it, It’s just a little bland. On the other hand, if the meat is great, you don’t need for the sauce to add much. #4VALUE: 5⁄5 — it’s a pretty big, high quality gyro and throw in a big unknown beer for under $ 10, well, probably as good as it gets. I really like this place, it’s got a nice vibe and the people who work here are awesome. I’ll be back. Definitely check this one out.

Went there today for lunch, tried the Gyro’s, pelmeni, borsch? and grabbed a few things to much on. The food is flat out amazing, and was prepared quickly. It’s a decent portion, and very delicious. One of the better Gyro’s I’ve ever had, I have no reference on the borsch and the pelmeni, as they were both firsts for me, but they were awesome! They have a nice little selection of seaweed salad etc. in the deli as well, perhaps next time!

Best gyro I’ve ever had! They’re huge and flavorful, a steal for $ 5.99 with a drink. We finally got around to checking this place out, wish we’d done so sooner! Everyone working there is so friendly and they have a wonderful selection of various ethnic foods, mostly European/Ukrainian. The pelmeni is so delicious, fresh made before served, no preservatives, all natural ingredients. Also, they have a pastry case full of goodies that will make your mouth water. Definitely go here if you have a craving for the best Gyro in the Northwest.

The food is great and desserts are a treat for sure. Their gyros are awesome and I get mine with feta. We get the napoleon treat and a cup of coffee. Very unique items and also reasonable in price.

This place is seriously good. Nice thick cut gyro meat, hefty servings, and a really polite staff. Grabbed some sliced salami on the way out. Great idea. Super delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Best $ 7 you can spend on a great lunch. This review is like many that preceded it… the gyros are excellent. Big portions of that delicious rotating cone of meat, in a warm pita with fresh veggies on top. They do go heavy on the tzatziki sauce, but I just so happen to like it dressed that way. And to top it off, you get a piece of Greek hard candy, which treated like a watermelon jolly rancher. Awesome find in Vancouver.(they also have a nice selection of specialty Mediterranean products, deli meat, olives, and a bakery)

Very good food! Huge delicious gyro for the price! Great selection of candies for the kids or myself. We even ended up buying some needed specialty items that are hard to find at your typical grocery stores.

I absolutely love this place. It really has good gyros, gyro platter, and hummus!!! The bread is always hot, meat hot, and they have awesome Russian drinks to choose from… And let’s not even talk about the Russian candies and pastries… A dangerous delight! I’ve been coming here for years and my boyfriend got me hooked– he’s been coming even longer. The only rival to this place is the downtown pdx food carts. So the fact that they r in Vancouver and good prices makes it a true gem!

YUMMY! The Gyro was delicious and full of fixings. That is the best one I have ever had. Lots of dressing and feta cheese and meet! Traditional Russian food service served within the store. Nice people and very clean place with seating in front of the shop. I felt very comfortable there.

Best. GYROS. In. Clark. County. Period. Russian deli with full meat counter, piroshky, imported grocery and small seating area. The people are very warm and friendly, though language skills may be slightly limited with a few employees. Prices are fair and the food is nice and fresh. Did I mention the gyros? Try them, you’ll be glad you did.

This Deli is amazing. Mostly Russian But they have the best Gyros around period. Always well seasoned and cooked perfect. Tzaziki sauce is awesome. Try the spicy shredded carrots. And do not forget some of the Russian candies and cookies. Most pastries are baked on site and some away from the deli but bread is always fresh. They have an amazing challah. Stop in they are awesome people. Great. Friendly staff.
