I am a fan of happy hour. I am a bigger fan of late night happy hour. Applebees has both. Their app prices are perfect during happy hour! The food itself is mediocre to satisfactory, but lots of it for a great price makes it somehow taste better. I wish they had a better beer selection, though. We live in the beer capital of America and they only serve domestics and 1 – 3 crafts, most often not of local origin. I’ve always had great service in the bar.

I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in quite a few years. AAnnnddd It is exactly how I left it. We went for happy hour on a Thursday night and didn’t have to wait to get a table. Walked right into the bar, which, at 5pm had plenty of seating open(score!) We were on a bit of a time limit so we ordered wings, the quesadilla and the chicken wonton tacos. All ½ price off of the happy hour menu. All tasty! Again, same as the last time I was at an Applebee’s. The thing that was extremely off putting were the servers. Since we were in the bar we heard at least 3 servers gossiping about current customers. The bartender did an excellent job at shutting conversation down every time. But the fact that the front of house manager wasn’t there helping her left a bad taste in my mouth. Talking about someone’s weight, what they decided to order, or your tinder date is completely inappropriate on the dining room floor. Thumbs way way down.

We had gone here a few years ago and our order was messed up but we decided to try it again. We ordered car side to go this time. The staff on the phone repeated our order back to us correctly however when we picked it up and got the food home we realized our order was completely wrong! We both ordered burgers with sauce on the side. The sauce was on the burger. One of the burgers was completely pink inside when we asked for no pink. The burger was supposed to come with fries but we did not receive them. We paid extra for one side of sweet potato fries and the box was almost empty! Only about 15 sweet potato fries. Pretty much everything that was ordered was messed up! However the burgers tasted delicious once when cooked them all the way. The staff was nice and so that’s why I gave them 2 stars.

More of a retrospective than anything else, since we only get in a few times a year now. Started coming to this Applebee’s in 2010 with my friends, and we’ve had some great times and laughs here. Most Saturdays after 9pm the Applebee’s gang would show up and we’d get our respective steaks, quesadilla burgers, boneless buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, and much more. Service was almost always a 5/5, even on the busy nights, and the servers have had a pretty good sense of humor with us. It’s not the most gourmet of food, but I enjoy coming here for a decent meal, I recommend the fiesta lime chicken, it will fill you up for not a lot of cost. You can’t beat the 2 for 20.00 meals either!

Everything’s great here. Bartender is great. When I pre order they almost meet me outside by my car! It’s great. If you are not happy they always fix it. And I’m here now getting dinner!

They have certain things that are really good: bbq wings, riblets, all the desserts. Their 2 for $ 20 deal is a pretty good deal. The wait staff are always super friendly and attentive.

Can I say 2 ½ stars? We came in Sunday afternoon. Service was Ok, food was fairly good. Wish they had a better microbrew selection. The hostess had to run and wipe off a table so we could be seated even though the place was only around ½ full. She very nicely explained that our table would be damp because she had just wiped it off, but that it should dry in just a moment… No biggie. But when the table did dry it was extremely sticky. To the point I had to peel my phone off the tabletop. The skin of my open palm completely stuck to the wood and we could not slide anything around. I gently scratched my fingernail across the wood surface and it came away with a good layer dark grime I rolled into a ball and flicked away. Yummy.

I’m given them 4 stars based on this visit. Have eaten there three or four times before and thought it was OK to good but tonight is was great. Amazingly it is also veterans day and they served free meals to military veterans so the place was packed with a line of people waiting for a table. Despite the crowd and being so busy the staff were calm, polite, friendly, helpful. The free meals are limited to a one page menu which had several good choices but my vet wanted baby back ribs. I(non-vet) on the other hand really desired the hamburger on the vets menu, so I ordered the ribs and he ordered the burger and we switched except I also got his coleslaw. I did not regret my decision as that was one yummy hamburger! It comes with cheese but I chose no cheese and it was just as I like it. Large patty(larger than bun), tender beef, perfectly seasoned, tasty toppings, I’m a pretty simple eater but this was my idea of the perfect hamburger and I don’t find that in many places. The fries that accompanied it were also better than average. My husband enjoyed his ribs, and his Coleslaw was also very good;) Our son praised his sirloin steak, potatoes and mixed veggies several times. He asked for butter and the server brought it after heating it a bit because she said it was very cold. She was very pleasant and served us promptly. Despite the rush she never made us feel rushed or neglected. Tonight’s dinner upgraded my opinion of applebees and I look forward to returning. Hope they will serve that burger again!

I’m sorry but after 28 minutes it would be nice to get another water, then after 34 minutes you ask if I want dessert sorry not happening. The food is normally good but this time it was dry late and really how do you make a dry chicken salad? Just wondering? Trying to be super nice for a tip at the end it’s not happening buddy. They need to learn to check up on how customers are liking or disliking their food. I think that says enough about it.

Often times I eat here because it’s a convenient option when I’m in the area. Can’t say that I ever think hey, we need to go to Applebee’s! Food is hit and miss. Generally the staff is attentive kind and informative. After the recent remodel it seems like they are doing a lot to try to boost their image and rating. Hopefully it works. I am sure I will end up back here again at some point, especially because of the lack of options in the orchards area.

Low rating because of service is consistently bad. Place needs a new manager because when service is good this place rocks. Servers consistently poor over past 6 – 8 months. Food is always great happy hour prices great. Love the 2 for 25 deal. Actually saw a couple servers and the bartender walk across to the YMCA parking lots to yell at some kids having fun in the snow in their cars while I sat there with my drink empty until I just left that day. Worry about what’s going on in your restaurant not outside. Last time the waitress was a snotty little bitch and waaaaay overcharged us I don’t know how my 2 for 25 turned into 48 bux unless my sodas were 10 b bux each and neither did she nice try though I wasn’t as stoned as I looked. Gonna be awhile before I go back hope it gets back to the way it should be and has been before

The hostess was prompt and sat us down quickly. Our server however decided to go on about wanting to get off work and party at her«guy friends house» Again stating she just couldn’t wait to leave her work for the evening. After listening to her go on about what she was going to do that night at her«friends» house. i specified my order. No mushrooms with mashed potato. I received Mushrooms with red potato as my meal… that i specified against. Obviously she wasn’t joking about wanting to leave. Her service and listening skills truly reflected it.

We always sit at the bar and the bartender Hailey is really awesome. We usually get the 2 for $ 25 because its a little better than the 2 for $ 20. They have good drink specials every night, and their happy hour is really great too(from 3 – 6). Last time our wings were a little cold in the middle so they gave them to us for free.

Love the selection. The food is good and there is something that the kids love. Nice family atmosphere. Friendly service. I don’t know what everyone else says that they didn’t like. They have a friendly staff, great choice of foods, and a bar if you are watching a game. I love the Veterans day special that they have. On Tuesdays they have $ 0.99 special for kids. Lots of great food and deals

I used to enjoy Applebee’s on occasion, but they’ve changed their menu and definitely lowered their quality of food. I’m guessing that in a corporate attempt to reduce costs and streamline processes they have switched to a more pre-made food vendor and lessened their quality of chefs, to cooks. Food: a lot of per-made things here. I ordered some quesadilla towers only to find out you can’t get them without peppers because they are, again, already made and frozen. Boneless wings are consistently lacking a good coating of buffalo sauce. They are over-breaded and taste like a weeks worth of sodium in every bite. Salad had under cooked bacon and lacked and real variety of greens. Steak was obviously not a choice cut, cooked in grease or butter and definitely over priced. One good thing is Applebee’s perfect margarita. It’s strong and darn tasty. Applebee’s used to be a good standby restaurant that I would say was a consistent 3 – 3.5 stars, but the changes they have made over the past several years have made this a easy place to avoid and forget.

I have never left an Applebee’s thinking, «Hey, that was a good choice!» it’s always more like«Oh, I’m going to be sick… and I have 3 new pimples.» So when I went there with my friends tonight I was expecting to be underwhelmed. What I wasn’t expecting was a loud, obnoxious game of trivia being played the ENTIRE time we were in the restaurant. Evidently this shenanigans starts at 9:30 and just goes on and on with a new round every 12 minutes deep into the night. Of course we were seated just outside the playing area right next to the speaker, which was blaring everything from Jagged Edge to Kid Rock whenever the guy wasn’t screaming into the microphone. Note: A microphone’s sole purpose in this world is to amplify your voice, so there is absolutely no reason to yell into it. Oh, and if you are not playing don’t say silly answers out loud. Applebee’s Trivia is serious business and you will be sternly and publicly reprimanded for your transgression. It wasn’t even me and I felt like I was in trouble. Anyways. This was more of a rant than a review. Applebee’s food is not that great, the caloric content in each item is astonishing, and everything from the menus to the table are mysteriously sticky. But it is a place where people gather; so if you find yourself heading there, which is bound to happen one day, just make sure it’s not a Thursday.

Family and I stopped in for dinner on Tuesday. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to an Applebee’s. The Misses thinks we went once maybe 8 or 9 years ago, but I don’t recall. Anyhow, Tuesday night is family nights and all kids meals are $.99 with any adult meal. A nice treat at this Applebee’s is the owners bring in a magician every Tuesday Night, Brian is his name. Brian goes to each table and performs a 3 or 4 minute routine for the children. My daughter was amazed at the card and ball magic Brian performed. Unfortunately I didn’t have any cash on me to tip Brian, however he was gracious and let us know it wasn’t expected since the owners pay him to be there and not to worry about it. Definitely turned an awkward situation into one of fun and enjoyment. Brian also does parties, events, etc so we may just book him for our daughter’s birthday next year. The food itself was typical restaurant fare. I had the French Dip Sliders. Made sure to ask for a side of horseradish. :) I opted to for the chili-cheese fries instead of the the regular fries. Overall I enjoyed my meal, but I wish the rolls had been toasted, as they were a little soggy. The Misses and daughter shared an appetizer platter. Pulled Pork Tacos in Won ton Shells. Yum, Yum. Spinach-Artichoke Dip. Had nice chunks of Artichoke and Sliders. The wife said the sliders were tasty. Since it was only $.99 for a child’s meal, we ordered the chicken fingers. Might as well, since my daughter wanted a drink and the kids meal came with it included. For our libations, the Misses had the Sangria. She said it was up there with the best of them. Better be for almost $ 7 a glass. I had a beer. It was beer, eh. No dessert tonight. The service was friendly and just as we were getting ready to leave the Manager(who I also think was the owner, Vickie(sp?)) came to our table and thanked us for coming. We chatted for a bit, found out the magician has been performing at this Applebee’s since he was 15. She also mentioned Monday Night’s is Balloon Animal Night. Definitely will have to go back and check that out. Although the food at Applebees is well… basically Applebees food. What sets this one apart from the others is the friendliness of the owners and the additional entertainment provided.

I have hated Applebee’s for a very long time(not like my vehement hatred for Red Robin, but it’s up there). After a few years of hatin’, I decided to give the ‘ol place a second chance. And the verdict? Guilty. Guilty of mind-blowingly bad service, the blandest food you’ll ever taste, and the weakest, expensive drinks in the ‘Couve! I think the waitstaff had a combined IQ of 90. A waitress arrived with our appetizer and asked, «Now where should I put this…» I don’t think she knew who ordered it(she wasn’t our actual waitperson), but here’s the thing: the table was TOO small for her to choose a side to put it on. There was a place in the MIDDLE! Whatever. We ate our bland food, sipped our drinks with their drop of booze, paid our expensive tab, left, and never looked back. We won’t be returning.

There really isn’t anything wrong with the food here, it is usually a good value and it is well prepared. So why two stars? As someone wise and worldly once said, «Well, Jane, it just goes to show you, it’s always something! If it’s not one thing, it’s another!» ** And the other thing here is the service and the wait. We wait to be seated when it is busy, we wait when it is not busy. We wait for our refills, we wait for our dessert, we wait for the check. It happens… Every. Single. Time. So why do we come back? We have in-laws who just love the place and they think they are doing us such a favor by taking us here. The Tax Deduction likes it enough, but even this last time he was complaining about waiting. My other complaint, or question is who were those booths made for? Oompa Loompas? Munchkins? The Wife cannot get her feet in under the booth, and if you know me, I am not a small guy, oh sure I could get in but will take a call to 911 and boom lift to get me out, so we get to wait for a table. Everytime. I will admit, when we have done the Carside To Go, that was been great. Why can’t they serve us like that inside? Maybe one day they will get their stuff together, but it has been five years or more and I getting tired of waiting. ** The Wife must receive credit for the Roseanne Roseannadanna quote
