Good clean interior with friendly very quick service. Food was portioned will and tasted great. Busy atmosphere which must mean it’s popular. Best for lunch.

My wife and I really enjoy Mars and have recommended it to several friends and family, we particularly like the sesame chicken.

Great food, quick service and very clean. Loved the pork chow mien the most but the crab puffs were great too! Happy to find a reasonably priced Chinese food place less than a mile from my house! Will be back soon.

It is good. Expect good service, generous portions and overall a satisfying meal. Dishes are average when it comes to taste.

The food here was just average. The biggest problem was when I ordered a pot of tea. As I was pouring it I saw massive grime and filth on the spout as if it had never been cleaned. I took the lid off and looked inside. It was caked with build up. A health inspector would not approve of this so when their food inspector comes in, I’d be very nervous for them and wonder what else they’re not cleaning back there…

This is decent Americanized Chinese food. Not great, just decent. The fried shrimp are delicious. Fully cleaned and deveined, & not a bit greasy. The fried rice is bland and lacking any kind of flavor. What will bring me back again are the prices. Very reasonable. What stood out were the beer prices. $ 3 for a beer?! That’s hard to find these days. The service was lightning fast. On a Friday night, we were seated, served & finished with our meal within a half hour. It was not friendly service, mind you. But I can forgive that in exchange for speed.

I have been here three times in the past 4 – 6 weeks. The fresh food keeps bringing me back… but the service is horrible. All three times the servers have borderline ignored us. They take the order and that is about it. They are also not friendly or engaging at all. The food is good, like I said, fresh and almost light. Even the fried foods(sweet and sour chicken, etc.) aren’t heavy and greasy as is easy to do. If the service was equal to the food this would hands down be a solid four star. So disappointing to know that I will never get good service. I will just have to suck it up and deal with it as, for me, this is the best Chinese food I’ve found in town since my regular place closed.

The staff was attentive but our food lacked flavor. If you are looking for good Chinese, this isn’t it.

I had a really weird experience here and I’m just now getting to write my review. The food was fine, the prices were cheap, the service was okay. The real problem happened when I accidentally left my debit card here. I called the restaurant and asked if they had it. The woman on the phone said«she had no idea what I was talking about» and that«it was so slow they would have noticed if it was there.» I went into panic mode because I knew I left it in the bill folder they give you, so if anyone would have taken it it would be them.(Not saying on purpose at that point) so I decided to go in and leave my name and number just in case and the woman said again, I have no idea what you’re talking about, we didn’t see a card, kinda of gave me that«sorry you’re out of luck, punk» attitude. Then. About 5 minutes later, what do you know, they magically«found» my card in the back. I know this review has nothing to do about food. But I honestly couldn’t believe how dumb the front desk woman made me feel. Even though I ended up being right.

Just ordered from here for the first time. We did take-out. It was ready within 15 minutes. We ordered the salt and pepper calamari, general tsao, kungpao chicken, and fried rice. It was all super delicious. It was definitely a lot of food for a really good price. We will be ordering from here again, for sure! !

I ate here once before. But i didn’t want to review them at that time. Due to the fact I was not feeling this place at the time. So here is my unbiased review. Small place 7 tables and 6 booths. Nice waitress we were greeted right away. We ordered the appetizer plate, Mongolian beef plate, combo plate #2, and general tsao. The appetizer is decent. Very little crab in the crab puffs. The egg rolls taste mainly of cabbage only the bbq pork is good and very tender. The Mongolian beef was lacking sufficient sauce to be served over rice, and was not spicy at all… it seriously needed Chile sauce. The general tsao was very dry. And tasted very sweet. the general must have been on a 2 day pass Cuz it had no spice at all. The fried rice was the run of the mill bit was good and the noodles are also good. All in all I would not recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an excellent or really good Chinese meal. Although the waitress was nice in the beginning she never did come and check to make sure the food was good. She walked past our table 4 times never even looked at us. The last time we saw her was when she left the check. I give it 2 stars Cuz it wasn’t a total blowout and does deserve a 2 star.

Great food, good lunch specials! The sesame chicken is really good. The crab puffs are the bomb! I was disappointed in the general tso, it wasn’t spicy and it tasted mostly like soy sauce. I’ll never order it again! Over all they are quick with orders, great pricing, their portions are huge and food is good! It’s my new favorite Chinese place! Stick with their lunch menu! $ 9.50 for sesame chicken served with white rice, pork fried rice for another $ 1.00! No soup with dinner either. You do get a large portion of food though!

This restaurant is kind of small but the size gave it a nice intimate vibe and it was also quiet. I really liked it! The food did not disappoint! Great chow mein and lo mein and some of the best crab rangoon I’ve had. This place was perfect for a cheap date night.

A recent return to Mar’s for lunch has shown marked improvement. Our Orange Chicken and General Tso’s were delish. Hot and Sour soup very good. Great portions. I’d very glad they’ve returned to greatness.

Best Chinese food in the Vancouv, with very decent prices and great quantities. One of my favorite places to come when I’m freaking starving and am craving Asian food.(So pretty much always) The atmosphere isn’t really anything special, but everything is clean and they have a fountain that is turbo swag. Had no problem with service, either. Come here! They’re really good and one of the best restaurants around here! Give it a go! TL;DR: If you’re hungry and want some Asian, this is the place to come.

Stop #2 on our culinary adventure of eating our way down 162nd. So pleasantly surprised and happy we made it into this hole in the wall Chinese place. The food was great! The veggies were super fresh and crisp, the meat was not over cooked and well seasoned, and the portions were ginormous. The star of the show were the potstickers though. They were hand made and almost the size of tennis balls! No joke. The staff were all pleasant and efficient. Our glasses were topped off regularly and plates cleared out timely. Our food came out super quick and I saw it being prepared in the somewhat open kitchen. They were reasonably priced as well. Overall, I’ll definitely be back to this place and it will be my first choice for take out.
