I’ve been here a couple of times and have enjoyed most of what I have eaten with one exception. There is a house specialty called Crying Tiger which is described as «top sirloin marinated in tiger sauce.» It was essentially a couple of thin dry pieces of meat with very little flavor. Very disappointing. Otherwise the curries I’ve tried along with the Tom Kha and the salad rolls have been tasty. The bonus here is the bartender. I am sorry I don’t remember her name but she mixes excellent cocktails and they are very reasonably priced. The bar is pretty kitschy with comfortable stuffed chairs lining the walls and also facing each other. My only issue here is that the lights that hang down from the ceiling were pretty bright and made it hard to look at my companion since they came down to about eye level. Overall a pretty ok place to have dinner and drinks.

Love this place! I feel like their Thai/Laotian food is always on point. I cook a lot of Thai food at home and have been to Thailand so I’m super picky when eating Thai in the US lol. I am gluten free and I love that their deep fried spring rolls are made with rice paper. Their deep fried shrimp is also gluten free and amazing. I highly recommend the green curry with pork. But be aware with all their dishes the heat is a little on the spicy side so if you order something medium it will be a very spicy medium. I also love their Tom Kha soup. They really got the balance of fish sauce to palm sugar down. The service here is really great! Very prompt and always gets my order correct. I probably eat here at least twice a month, maybe more. Would highly recommend this place.

Excellent Thai food. Only knock on this place was getting seated at the worst table with a chair right next to the back left wall. It was tough to get in and out… especially after i ate! ;-) But heck, a popular place with great food and is going to cause someone to have that seat! I got the chicken pad thai at 4 stars. There was plenty of chicken and the spicy level was«all about it.» If I return to the area, I will definitely go back.

The owners sister helped us and she was amazing. Really made you feel like family. Good strong drinks in the lounge. Nice and clean and comfortable. Right at the park and the yellow curry was my favorite one if the better thai places in vancouver. We’ll be back.

I like Tiger’s Garden. Some may say there is a better food venue for Thai nearby, but Tiger’s Garden is in a great location. It overlooks Esther Short Park and offers up very tasty food and a pleasant, attentive staff. The food here may not be the best Thai you ever had, but it is very good and the ambiance and location are wonderful. Love this place.

Sat there for 20 min. Not even a glass of water. So we left. Looking around, Noone had food or drinks. I have eaten there before and food wasn’t bad, but this was unacceptable. We got up and left.

I have only been here once. And that was enough! Staff was nice but REALLY slow, I ordered the pra ram(don’t know how to spell it) to go. I called it in, 15 min later went to pick it up and I waited for someone to even come up and talk to me, had to hunt down one down, then find out they lost my order and had to wait 30 min for them to cook it up. When I finally got my meal, it was watery and bland. Just tasted like peanuts in water. I was seriously upset! They didn’t look busy. I do NOT recommend this place.

Very tasty and fairly authentic Lao food. Recommended. Beware of the«extra –hot»: it’s seriously hot in the scale of serious pepper eaters.

A nice little restaurant. An interesting mixture of Thai and Laotian cuisines. It’s great for lunch and dinner. As for the spiciness of the food, it’s just right.

Well one word comes to mind here. Yucky! The service was slow, especially for the restaurant almost being empty at lunch. There is an overwhelming smell of urine when you walk in the front door and chemical cleaners when you sit at your table. I ordered shrimp on my dish and got 3 very small pieces. My server was very friendly, and the price was decent. Don’t go out of your way. It’s Thai food, but nothing to write home about.

My favorite thai place in Vancouver. The food is always hot and doesn’t take forever to get it to me. They serve the best Larb in town and I’ve tried them all! The staff is friendly and remembers me whenever I go in, it’s nice!

First one star review I ever had to write which shows I’m quite lenient or easy to please however we just came in today and they took a $ 100 bill that fell out of my brothers pocket. He didn’t even go to the bathroom and I clearly gave it to him across the table and he put it straight into his pocket. We asked the lady if she’s seen any money and she joked and pointed at the other $ 100 on our table(we had other bills on the table) saying yea you found it, it’s right there(how the hell did she know we were missing $ 100???). Anyway we know for a fact they took it, saw one of them pick up something on the floor and didn’t think anything of it since waitresses do it all the time, straw wrappers, noodles… many reasons to go pick up something off the floor, however this was before/during our drinks were served(without straws!), but didn’t realize it until the bill came! We ended up paying in card and they even had to make sure we signed the correct copy(never had this happen anywhere). With the way they were acting there is no doubt they are guilty. Sorry but Dishonestly is not acceptable. I love a good HONEST family business practice. Nothing like going into a restaurant and feeling robbed.

Came here for lunch with family and service and atmosphere was fine. The prices for lunch were reasonable ranging from about $ 7 – 10. I had a peanut curry dish which was very good. I tried the pad Thai as well and it was also tasty. However, my husband asked for hot and he got mild pad Thai. I only like very mildly spicy things and I liked it, so I guess score for me :) Also, the ice tea had a pleasant taste to it that myself and others enjoyed. They have a pretty good location being across the street from Esther shore park. So you can eat here and take a pretty nice walk. Overall, I would recommend this place.

I’m NOT unbiased, since I eat lunch here once a week, but I still love the place. lunch specials are cheap and good. Watch the machismo if you order hot. They will light you up! The wait staff is funny and personable. love their snacks during happy hour. I don’t go there much after work, but when I have it was great. all in all a great place.
