Subway makes a pretty mean sandwich with good prices, that you can find at thousands of locations around the world. But THIS subway is located at Heritage Place overlooking the north end of Esther Short Park. Bonus star for killer locale.

Went in there twice and the same lady was working both times. Not a crack of a smile out of her. The service was quick and serviceable but not friendly. At lunch there were two other co-workers as well and neither of them cracked a smile either.
So overall, it was just a Subway. Nothing to write home about.

Hey… it’s Subway. You should know what you’re in for when you go considering it is a national chain & while there are a number of places to eat in downtown Vancouver there really aren’t too many fast (food) places.
If you’re looking for fast (food) then you have either Subway (two locations) or Dairy Queen. This Subway is across the street from the biggest park in downtown, Esther Shore, so it has this going for it. The other Subway & Dairy Queen are uptown & about 1 block apart — Main & Fourth Plain Blvd.

I love Subway, and this is the nicest one I’ve been in. Looks from some of the older reviews that some former workers were not the greatest — but I’ve been here at least 10 times, and have never experienced anything but fast and friendly service.

Not a good experience. I started working in the area a few weeks ago and was really excited to learn that there was a subway just up the street. Unfortunately though, the staff is not very friendly, helpful and attentive. The 4 times I have been there I have received poor service. The staff is usually chatting amongst themselves completely uninterested in helping the customer. 2 separate times I have been waiting in line and looked at another customer waiting, while giving each other the «look». Each time I have had to repeat what I wanted because the employee was too involved in their own conversation to pay attention to my order. And also the overall attitude there is nothing short of rude. Too bad. I’ll take my business elsewhere. And to the owner… I suggest you set some quality standards for your team.
