Nice time for Mia’s birthday at the Crow’s Nest! We wanted raw oysters, and they had a nice selection from Maine, PEI and Washington State. Hot hot hot outside. Nice boat ride up, but appreciated the air-conditioning! Waiter was very friendly, and nice for Mia’s birthday, but a bit forgetful, forgot our calamari! But he did bring me a piece of really great Keylime pie for her birthday!

An excellent location We stopped in for dinner. Restaurant seating is on the second floor so it gives you a nice view of the Marina. We sat outside on this nice evening. The restaurant is a short walk from the South Jetty and if you have trouble finding parking in the Marina lot, you can even park at the South Jetty and they have a shuttle to run you over to the restaurant. For dinner I had their Georges Banks Sea Scallops with«Brew City» fries. There were 7 huge scallops that seemed reasonably fresh, and a container of fries. After the fact I had to look up what Brew City fries were and learned they were beer battered. I thought the fries were good, although I didn’t notice any unusual preparation. My wife had an interesting looking swordfish dish that she really liked. We finished the meal by sharing a slice of key Lime Pie. It was smooth and had a nice subtle flavor, without a noticeable key lime tanginess or a condensed milk taste. I liked it. Service was professional and fine. He was patient while we took too much time trying to decide what to order and kept good tabs on us throughout the meal.

One of the most terrific eating establishments in Venice, Not Fine dining Not flip flops just a really pleasant casual restaurant with a great wait staff and wonderful food. Snowbirds are gone so it’s really easy to get a table fast. During season be sure to make reservation.

Great atmosphere, but subpar food(Chicken Saltimbocca and Seafood Pot Pie). Seafood Pot Pie was basically the Clam Chowder with a few extra things tossed in… including fish bones. The Chicken was dry. Overall it was marketed and priced as a nicer spot, but fell way short :/

I loved this place! It’s the perfect spot for a beautiful relaxing lunch with view of the marina! The food was fresh! We had calamari for appetizers(can’t go wrong with that). We ordered from the specialty menu, the salmon and white cod. It was fresh and tasty. The amount of food was perfect. We had one of their margaritas and it was delicious! I was visiting around the area and I would definitely come back if am ever around. The service was just phenomenal! Everyone was very welcoming! Once I remember our waitress name I will update this review. She was just great! I also loved the fact they had an elevator, so it’s wheelchair accessible for everyone, no excuses!

Absolutely perfect food and great view of the marina. We ate upstairs on the outside deck. I loved my zucchini spaghetti side, broccolini and salmon. All prepared perfect. My BF had the seafood salad which was a beautiful presentation. Perhaps a bit too much mayo in the seafood salad but the tomatoes and cucs helped balance the plate. I understand the seafood soup is terrific but only served in a cup. I would have loved a giant bowl! Great place for a sunny day!

What a great night for dinner. Started with the Seafood tower and Flatbread. Ceasare salad was really good. Most of our party got the boulabaise, which was excellent. Lobster tail was done just right and the best meal was the Grouper. Key lime pie was really good.

My wife and I decided we would give the Crows Nest a try tonite. Food has always been god but difficult to get in during season. My issue is with the management and their inability to control people who bring small children to a fine dining establishment. There were small children throughout the restaurant and they were screamers! Do people not use baby sitters anymore? Who knows if the food was any good when you get ready to take a bite and a rug rat screams. Service was good. Once again when I am spending $ 25-$ 35 a plate + drinks + salad +cocktail I expect the management to ask people to remove their screamers from the room. Needless to say it left a very bad taste in my mouth!

Shrimp was perfectly fried. The Famous Fish sandwich lived up to expectations. Great food and dining experience. We dined in the downstairs room which is the pub area. We were able to get in and out pretty quickly but they are fine should a patron desire to linger with a beverage. A cool place!

I write this sadly as we loved The Crows Nest for years. Since adding the outside addition this restaurant has not kept up the fine quality of its food. I will not get into too much detail but having to wait 20 minutes when you have a reservation then having your appetizer come out cold and undercooked followed by an entrée that tasted like pure salt is not acceptable and not what the Crows Nest was like a few years ago. This was our third visit in 5 months and none have impressed us recently. The wait staff is great it is too bad the food does not match anymore.

We had a party if 6. We got seated within 30 minutes. The service was slow and we had to remind the waitress 3 times we were there to celebrate our granddaughter’s 18th birthday. The food was excellent, especially the seafood risotto. It would have been nice to asked if wanted more rolls, as the wait to take our order was some 20 minutes, then another 15 until we received our entrees. I am giving a 4 rating for the good quality, it was also served hot and presentation was exceptional.

We have been going to The Crows Nest for close to 30 years. Always good! A favorite for both my husband and myself! First rate. Great martinis and cosmos, too! And the Key Lime Pie is to die for!

Our visit was exceptional for the food, view, and by far the most knowledgeable waiter(Jonathan) ever. Our second visit in the past two weeks with our waitress Andrea, who was terrific, however five of us had a negative with our meal. Unfortunately two of our guests were first time visitors, and their linguine was overcooked and filet mignon as well. We hope our next visit will be as positive as our previous ones, but I doubt our visitors will return to the nest.

Fabulous from browsing the menu to finishing up dessert… We were able to get in earlier than our reservation. The service is impeccable. We even had a table by the window with the best view ever… While browsing thru the menu, you must order one of their festive cocktails We started with the Seafood Tower! A taste of heaven for all… Raw oysters and clams along with crab legs and shrimp. Next we had a sampler of all of the best from the menu: Georges Banks Sea Scallops, the Grouper Key Largo, and the Crow’s Nest Bouillabaisse. We sampled from each other’s plate. Sooo delicious… After stuffing ourselves with the best of the best, we made sure we saved room for dessert. Look no further than the Chocolate Moose!!! I never thought I would feel giddy about having such a delicious meal near the beach… Such a fun time!!! Highly recommended!!! Ask to be seated in Ryan’s section… The best service ever!

This is the best place I’ve eaten in the area. Eat here! My parents and I are pretty particular about seafood because it is our favorite food and this place satisfied all of us. Actually, my parents ate here first and insisted we return the next day so my husband and I could eat there also. Between four of us we tried multiple menu items(grouper sandwich, seafood pot pie, shrimp po boy, buttermilk shrimp, seafood platter, escargot, oysters, shrimp cocktail and key lime pie). Everything we ate was exceptional, just depends on what mood you’re in. The key lime pie was the best I’ve ever had. I’m usually a chocolate gal, but it said the key lime pie was award winning, and I see why! If I have to pick a negative, I would say the specialty coffee drink after dinner wasn’t as good as I was hoping, but I like sweetness of a liquored coffee and this just wasn’t mixed well enough for me. Stop thinking about it and go eat here!

What a fun lunch we had here yesterday. I ordered a drink not on the menu and they smiled and gave it a try. It was very good. There were eight of us and we hemmed and hawed about everything. Staff smiled on and took such good care of us. Let me tell you. We ended saying we need to come back there are so many things I want to order. The seafood pie is wonderful. The mussels were praised. Salads and shrimp pleased one. The sea food platter was called the lightest batter ever. The dinning room is spacious overlooking the river and boatyard. it s airy. There is a pub downstairs. Mostly tables with s few booths. Inside stairs, outside stairs and an elevator. Limited parking. They will cart you to the public parking. We’ve been lucky twice.

A favorite spot of our family for many years! You really can’t beat the view and the incredible service you get here. I’d give my food a solid 4⁄5 and I know we will be back soon. We tried the oysters rockefeller, grouper, and scallops. We were all part of the clean plate club, but it wasn’t the best seafood I’ve ever had.

We came in for a double Birthday celebration, and were treated well. We started with beer, wine and a fuzzy navel. The guys at the bar had no idea what this was, and had to look it up. Friendly about it, but I had to ask why there was no color in it. :( Our meal started with a sampler of oysters. These were very good, and nicely presented. We tried two /three of each(to make a dozen), and liked the comparison opportunity. Our dinners came hot and fresh. Each of us tried something different, from beef to seafood dishes, and were happy with the portion sizes. The asparagus side was enough for all four of us, too. Our server, Zach, was all over it! He was there to fill our water, help with wine decisions. He even found a Chardonnay my mom would like, which was great service. The prices can be a little high, but for the service we received and nice view of the marina, it was worth it as a special occasion.
