Worst hotel EVER! Supposed to be pet friendly — made a reservation 2 adults and 1 dog. Got here and the clerk says they dont take dogs anymore but she will honor the reservation and gave us a room key. At 9:30pm the manager calls our cell phone and says they dont take dogs and we have to switch rooms. The clerk has left for the evening so we need to clear out of the room and wait for the clerk to come back. Still waiting on clerk to come back and give us our mew room keys! WORSTHOTELEVER!

Good for the price– we needed a place to sleep and shower with a small fridge and microwave that was CLOSE to the beach and the shopping. This place was perfect for us for two nights. Friendly staff also.

60 long, hard years open. The only thing this place has going for it is location. Of course, sleeping in your car in the lot across the street would provide a similar location and save you a stiff rate for a ratty old motel. This place is beat. The paint is peeling. The windows, once operated by crank, are rusted and no longer work. They swapped out lamp bulbs with CFL’s but kept the original shades that used to clip on a traditional bulb. The plastic blinds don’t open/close correctly. The grounds keepers left a mess and cut branches that interfered with the walkways causing my wife to get stabbed by one. There are many other choices in the area. Select one of them and give this disaster a pass.

We got a good rate on this 50’s style motel. Asked for a larger room to accommodate 3 adults — the room was very small and bathroom even smaller. Old wall A/C unit — very noisy. Free WIFI was spotty at best. There was a special ambiance to the place — if you are old enough to remember old time Florida motels. If not, you may not be happy with this place. Make sure you know what you are getting. Good location on the Venice island — close to shopping and good food.
