Kilwin’s Chocolates & Ice Cream of Venice

Absolutely fantastic!!! A delicious way to end out last day in town! Glad we got the chance to spent some time on Venice Street! A bit over priced, but not as bad as a lot of the shops on this street were. My recommendation, get the chocolate peanut butter fudge!!! It is to die for!

I remember passing a Kilwin’s during the summer at St. Armands Circle. The line was out the door, causing my curiosity to peak as I wondered what kind of delicious desserts this place had in store. I was pleasantly informed that they had another one in Venice, so needless to say I had to give it a try!
Upon entering you are not only greated with the sweetest smells you can imagine, but you also get to choose from their wide selection of desserts, ice-​cream, candies, fudge and other various merchandise for purchase. I held myself back from buying out the entire store’s fudge supply and settled on some icecream. Everybody in my party loved their icecream choices, they also had a few unique selections that are available for you to taste if you are interested. The toppings and sauces aren’t clearly listed on the board, so be sure to ask to make your icecream sundae as epic as possible (I asked for marshmellow sauce, which was AWESOME). They don’t have a huge selection of candied toppings, surprisingly, but they have enough of a selection to make a decent sundae. My sundae was so great, my family and I came back a few days later to enjoy the experience again!
Heads up that it definitely can get crowded in there. Both times we walked in and it was empty… then a few minutes later there was a huge rush of people. I am not sure how to overcome that, but just always be prepared for it! They are also a little pricey, hence why I am only giving them four stars instead of five. Enjoy!

Best coconut ice cream I ever had. Will always try to always make it there when I go back to Florida. The ice cream is worth the price.

This is everything!!! Best dessert in venice! I would get the box of turtles: Carmel, pecans and chocolate (dark chocolate or my favorite, milk chocolate). Amazing.
Or, box of truffles.
Both are perfect with red wine and/​or (preferably and) vanilla ice cream!

Ice cream totally overrated. Not even a rich flavor for the cost! Seven bucks for two scoops? Wow. Try Scoops on US 41.

Just shared a Cappuccino Chocolate Chip waffle cone with my wife and it was AMAZING! A wonderful place to complete your meal or to just get a fantastic ice cream dessert.

I saw someone making caramel dipped apples through the front window, and I had to go in! There were lots of chocolate dipped sweet sugary treats in display cases and I had a hard time deciding on what to try. My husband tried the chocolate almond bark and loved it. I tried the chocolate covered Nutter Butter with milk chocolate. It was the nice little chocolate treat to satisfy my craving for something sugary. The woman working at the counter was nice and patient with us as we gawked at all of our options. I would like to go back and try out their other options. The prices are a little high, and I’d like to see what all the hype is about their ice cream (I’m an ice cream snob). I enjoyed checking out their packaged gifts and treats. If I lived down here, I’d definitely visit here more often.

Chocolate + ice cream + custom dipped yumminess… can’t get much better than that: D We picked up some fudge after dinner, and staff was friendly, service fast.

I haven’t tried the ice cream here because there are so many other delicious sweets. This place is a chocolate lover’s dream. It can get pricey depending on what you get, but everything is delicious.

It’s Kilwin’s, so the ice cream is good. What is not good is the service. The young people behind the counter always act as if you are doing them a favor. And this warning: Do not — I repeat, do not — expect to use the facilities after 9 p.m. Even though the shop is open, the facilities are closed — I suspect in violation of code. Anyway, don’t try it – the Kilwin’s bathroom police are ferocious.

Sure good ice cream… How many ice cream shops have bad ice cream.
SO OVER Priced… It’s only ice cream.
10% butterfat it’s Ice cream, 12% butterfat it’s premium ice cream.
There is no reason to pay over $ 11 for two small cones.

This place never fails to disappoint me. I keep trying to find really good chocolate in Venice and twice ended up here as the only choice. I am STILL trying to find really good chocolate in Venice!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Boy do I love Kilwins! Just walk through the door and you’ll be instantly convinced. They make delicious, creamy fudge that is always buy 2, get 1 free. My family and I will use any excuse to make an event fudge-​worthy. They also have delectable chocolates and ice cream for your every sweet tooth need. Kilwin’s is 100% worthy of your business. You won’t regret it. Oh and I don’t work there… just a girl who takes chocolate seriously! :)

We love Venice, and although I don’t like sweets, my husband and daughter are a huge fan of Kilwins. We come here at least 2 – 3 times while vacationing in Venice, and they usually get some fudge and assorted chocolates. My 11 year old daughter got a caramle apple and really loved it. They love the home made goodies here at Kilwins, and they also have ice cream. So if you are looking for great sweets, come to Kilwins where everything is home made and delicious!
