My boyfriend and I were looking for a cheap, yet clean and safe place to stay while passing through Venice on a roadtrip. We chose Kon-​tiki on a whim and I have to say, I had such an amazing experience I can safely say I would drive back down to Venice just so I could stay there.
The manager, Karl, was so kind and incredibly accommodating. He stayed open late so we could check in, showed us around before we purchased the room, and even taught us how to correctly search for shark teeth at the beach. He also offered to let us borrow his tools and told us the best beach to go to for finding teeth.
We came back from the beach the next day hours past checkout to drop off the tools and he then kindly offered to let us shower in our room and clean up before getting back on the road.
Overall, the motel was clean, huge rooms for the price (around 65 dollars a night), with a nice pool, and a charming touch. I have never written a review before but I was so impressed by the hospitality I experienced here I just had to write one.
