Best coffee shop in Venice/marina area. I would choose them over ANY mainstream /corporate coffee shop you can name. Literally the only complaint I can file against them is that they don’t offer many breakfast or food items :(just a small pastry case. I would love to be able to come here and grab a muffin or other small item with my coffee just to kill two birds with one stone BUT hey they’re a coffee shop and they serve damn good coffee. I love their Spanish latte and iced vanilla both with almond milk. Literally drooling thinking about it.

Some of the best coffee I’ve had outside my normal favorites. Great vibe and cool staff too.

The location of this coffee stop is great. The seating inside is nice. Regarding the coffee. I asked for a half caff since I watch my caffeine intake and was told they don’t do them. Hmm. Okay. So I went full throttle and watched the barista grind the beans in seconds. Then he did the same for a decaf. So why couldn’t he grind half of each to make my latte? That was the first time I was ever told I couldn’t get a half caff and we’re still wondering if we were being messed with. So I took the full throttle and although I was expecting to be impressed, I really wasn’t. Maybe I’m used to drinking Philz and Intelligentsia beans but this one tasted weak in boldness and flavor. Would I go here again? Probably because the location is perfect if you’re looking for a break from the beach and boardwalk in Venice. Parking is a nightmare around here so this stop is more recommended to people who are going to Venice for the day, not just looking to sit down for a coffee break.

High quality coffee! Favorite place to grab a cup close to the beach. Staff is nice but a little cold. However the coffee is a quality product.

I have a been big fan and supporter of Menotti’s, as it is close by to where I live. I like the décor, the staff, and the coffees, despite them being $ 6 for an almond milk latte. They are at least very good, despite being expensive. A few weeks ago a member of the staff offered me a free cup of coffee in addition to my lattes, in case I had a friend I wanted to give it to, because he had accidentally made the wrong one. I took the coffee, walked down the street and offered it to a homeless man who was so thankful to receive the delicious cup of coffee from me. I felt not only good about it, but it made me feel good about Menotti’s. This morning I went back to Menotti’s and once again, the same guy was offering anyone in the café a free Americano that had been accidentally made. I mentioned what I had done last time, and I’d be happy to take the coffee to someone who would definitely appreciate it. Instead of accepting my offer to take the coffee, the staff told me that they were trying to discourage people from giving the surrounding homeless people coffee, because they bothered their patrons. He also proceeded to mention the individual that was shot and killed by law enforcement next door, outside of Townhouse. As if that was a representation of the homeless population in Venice. He then chose to pour that coffee down the drain in front of me, rather than allowing me to go gift it to another human being. Keep that in mind. Homeless. But still a human being. I understand. You sell $ 6 coffees to hipsters and yuppies, and I have gladly paid the exorbitant price for them, but I will no longer be getting my coffee, pastries or beans from Menotti’s. As small business owners I can respect you wanting to protect your business, but you also chose to open up shop in Venice, and homelessness is an aspect of Venice that I would urge you(and I did urge you when I was there today) to not shun. You can’t expect to open up a coffee shop next to the Venice boardwalk, and then complain that homeless people are your neighbors. Trust me, they’ve been here long before you. I wish I would have offered to buy the coffee you were going to pour down the drain, so I could have given it to someone, but I clearly wasn’t thinking fast enough, as I hadn’t had my morning coffee yet.

Hands down the best cup of Joe I’ve had in years. I had the mocha today and it was robust. The art on top is masterful too. Stoked to go outta my way to enjoy a cup again today. Thanks.

By far the best almond milk latte I’ve ever had! My husband had the Spanish latte and it was out of this world. We will make a habit of going here EVERY time we’re in Venice. Not to mention, the location could not be more perfect. #IheartVenice

Four Barrel is one of my favorite coffee, and seeing that Menotti’s serve it, I was excited to try out a new local shop. Located near the Venice boardwalk, there’s no lot parking so you’ll have to find street parking nearby and walk over. Inside, it’s your typical hipster-looking place. Super cute décor. I noticed large the live-edge table in the middle of the shop, with bar stools all around. Overall, a small space to grab some coffee with a friend or read a book. The barista was nice, and took my cappuccino order fairly quickly. He asked if I wanted it sweetened(which was different, I typically don’t sweeten my caps) and suggested I tried their house vanilla bean sweetener. It sounded tasty, so I said sure, a little sweetened, please. This thing was sweet AF. To the point where I couldn’t even taste the coffee. The worst part, it was an extra dollar for the sweetener. Really? And he didn’t even tell me until AFTER I was charged, and had asked about the price. At the time, I decided to pay for it anyway, hoping it would be worth it. Unfortunately, it was not worth it. That $ 4 cap turned about to be $ 5! Not sure what was worse, the bad cap or the fact that I was charged an extra dollar for the sweetener and wasn’t even informed of it. Ugh, such a sad day when I get bad coffee :(

Very cool spot! I stopped by after spin class in Santa Monica for a morning latte. The shop itself is super hip and rustic, small but seemingly meant for coffee on the go. Coffee here is truly an art, and you can totally tell by the way the baristas prep your drink. The other thing i loved was seeing cortados on the menu. For those of you who know, cortados are mostly impossible to find in LA, and when they are available, they never taste that authentic. The one I had here(alongside my latte lol) was almost as good as the ones I had while vacationing in Miami. Rich, strong and such good flavor. I recommend that any coffee lover come check this place out.

Great location right near Venice sign. Beautifully decorated with simple city chic stools and tables. Ambiance was perfect to start your morning :) Lattes were good but not the best we have had :(great food though! The ham and cheese croissant was amazing, so fresh that the barista wouldn’t heat it up for me when I asked(glad he made the suggestion). Hubby had the granola With yogurt, he said it was good but a little sugary for his health freak liking ;) Edited: since my previous review Chris the barista messaged me and informed me of the different types of coffee us «Aussies» would probably prefer. Just want to say it was a breath fresh air to find someone so passionate about what they do. My hubby and I will definitely be back next time we are in Cali! Still the best croissant I had ever tasted … Even better than the ones we have tried in France.

I was introduced to Menotti’s Coffee Stop by fellow Unilocaler, Ben G. He’s a regular there. Thanks Ben! We went there for coffee one weekend. He recommended the Iced Mocha so I got that. It was great! Menotti’s is an expensive coffee stop, but I loved the Iced Mocha. It wasn’t too sweet which is great! And I think it was a little nutty. If you need it to be sweeter, there’s a plethora of different sweeteners near the entrance of the restaurant. I would come back! I would recommend Menotti’s!

Came here with 3 other people on a Saturday morning. The baristas who served us were very nice and clearly took care into making each drink carefully. Two people ordered cortados(which were flavorful, rich and delicious), one other ordered a latte and I ordered a cold brew(which was steeped perfectly; all the flavors were bright and vibrant). I really can’t say much more than that. The service was great and their use of good coffee(Four Barrel) really shows. I’d gladly come back!

I order hot drinks even on hot days just so I can watch them pour the milk. I used to live around the corner and still wish I did because of this coffee shop. Nicely and his crew take pride in their work and it shows. I’m a big fan of Four Barrel coffee, talk about flavor! The space just expanded with more seating. Enjoy your latte and give Cody a hug.

Super service and great quality coffee. It looks like a place out of Brooklyn. There’s a long high table and two low tables inside with two more outside. You could sit and work here but it’s not a place where you’ll probably linger for a few hours working on your novel. The pastries are FANTASTIC– not dry, flaky, crisp, chewy, not too sweet. Staff was great. You won’t be disappointed.

Love trying coffee shops everywhere I go and I’m glad I stopped at this coffee shop. There’s only a few coffee shops that I enjoy going to and I loved this one. Customer service was amazing and so were the drinks. Hopefully they open one in San Diego soon. This will be my coffee shop to go to every time I come and visit.

The staff is so chill, every delectable cup of coffee is a 1 of a kind work of art and the prices are reasonable despite being right near the boardwalk in expensive ass Venice… Menotti, keep up the good work, I salute you and will continue to send all my surf students your way after or sometimes before their lessons!!!

A hidden gem right off the Venice boardwalk is found! In my mind, Menotti’s has the perfect amount of space for a coffee stop. One table facing the window and a thin strip of bar with only enough counter space for your coffee. If you’re looking to type up your next novel or get some studying done, look elsewhere. However, if you’ve come for coffee, you’re in the right place. Serving up Four Barrel, their espresso takes me back to the Mission. I actually stumbled upon this place after an article I read on Sprudge. An off-menu item served in a silver cup called the Caffe RIco sparked my interest. This is a double shot with a house-made Tahitian vanilla syrup and a twist of orange zest topped off with a dusting of cinnamon. Clover whole milk is used to complete the pour, of course. I’ve tried many creative espresso conceptions, but this is by far the most unique and successful. I hate the overly sweetened flavors of pump syrups. The Rico has all the flavor without the sugar. I love it. I mentioned that this coffee stop isn’t made for lounging for hours; however, they do accommodate fans of comics with a fine selection to peruse. I also love the record player setting the mood with modern tunes.

Having been to almost every ‘in’ coffee shop in LA, I enjoyed my early morning experience here. The two baristas were really friendly and that makes more than half the experience for me. The one guy was asking me what other coffee shops I liked which was cool. I appreciate that they don’t think they are the only cats in town making this stuff. There was a local guy in there who I chatted with and he vouched for the head barista /maybe owner, which I like to see there is loyalty as a result of treating your patrons well. The shop is small but has a great, not snobby, neighborhood vibe. Maybe that’s just the Venice way and I need to come here more and avoid those damn hipster shops. As for the coffee… I’m no connoisseur(as all my coffee shop reviews state). There is a bit of a tang to their brew, which I don’t love, but there is no terrible after taste or burn and that’s what matters for me. So when in Venice, Menotti’s.
