Went there first time today even tho I live in the area haven’t been there before! Got the steamed fish! I have no words it was probably the most delicious Chinese food I’ve ever had! Definitely going again soon!

Best Chinese restaurant in Venice! Fast service, big portions, and stellar food. I’ve been coming here for over a year now and it’s always a great experience! The owners are super friendly and you can tell that they really care about their customers. Their hot and sour soup is freaking DELICIOUS, honestly the best I’ve ever had. The 2+2+1 combo is an awesome deal(2 items with chow mein and/or rice, 2 eggs rolls, and a drink). Try the sesame chicken! If you like spicy, ask for a little to go container of chili paste! Stay awesome, Tasty Goody!

TASTYGOOOOOOODY!!! The OG quick Chinese spot in Venice fasho. They run a really great business here seriously, I appreciate the existence of this restaurant so much. Why you might ask? There’s something for everyone! If you’re in the mood for something quick, there’s the hot food bar with all of the Chinese fast food classics like orange chicken etc. If you’re in the mood for something hot and fried, they have amazing salt and pepper fried chicken wings and drumsticks(among other stuff). If you’re in the mood for a classic Chinese dish(as in not Americanized), they’ll make it for you. Basically, this is the perfect, affordable Chinese restaurant. The prices are super reasonable and the food is hot, salty, delicious, and in GENEROUS portions! Come give this family business some love and eat some wonderful food.

Five stars for the great service and friendly atmosphere. The steam table food is Panda style, but better than Panda(not a difficult task, to be sure.) The barbecue items are superb, and they will also make items to order(even off the menu.) Jon and Pop are also the friendliest restauranteurs in Venice.

This is by far the BEST service and best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The owner takes so much pride in his work and he kept letting us try different items. He knew his customers by name and let us know exactly when to expect our food. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

The place has a ghetto feel to it. The menu displays are faded and the bathroom is the kind you would shoot heroin in. That being said the food is good. It’s hard to find Cantonese bbq pork in town and while this isn’t the best it satisfied my craving regardless. The ribs are soft as butter and quite good, but the rice and chow mien were incredibly greasy. Come here for bbq pork, but not if you’re on a diet

It’s a run of the mill Chinese take out place, that also has minimal seating arrangement. The display of the items is huge and you can easily get confused with the wide variety of choice. Since West LA does not have a budget authentic chinese place, I thought of giving this place a try. The owners are nice and friendly. They offered me some of the combo items to taste, but the chicken tasted different and not fresh. I thought of ordering a la carte instead. I ordered Garlic Basil Shrimp, Szechuan Chicken and Singapore rice noodles with bbq pork and shrimp. Rice noodle was a gem — a must try. Garlic basil shrimp was out of the world as well. Szechuan chicken had the same«chicken frozen for a long time» taste that I did not like. Portions are huge and except the chicken, overall the food tasted good. If I go back, I will avoid chicken but might go for their noodle and shrimp. They can also use some serious cleaning to give this place a cleaner look.

On March 13 my fiancée and I made the regretful decision to eat here. I ordered orange chicken and she ordered sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken. At first we were excited about the portion sizes 8 bucks granted. But later, when we were tag-teaming the toilet to poop watery chunks of chicken and emptying our stomach contents into the garbage can… FORHOURS! We both exchanged harrowed looks with each other and decided never to go back. My whole body hurts and only now a day later can I enjoy water. Food holds no interest to me now. I hope to feel normal again in a few more hours.

I’m writing this from my toilet. I recently moved to Venice and have slowly been wanting to try out all the restaurants around where I live. I’ve seen Tasty Goody every morning on my walk to work and have wanted to try it out for some time. I’m a huge fan of Chinese food and I could see the type of restaurant it was(there are a few good Chinese restaurants up in the bay area that also pile on the food for cheap). So, I order the 2+2 deal they advertise everywhere and get chow mein, sesame chicken, and teriyaki chicken, and 2 eggrolls. Everything was fine until later that night. My fiancé started vomiting most of the night until he eventually crawled into bed. He told me he was vomiting and had diarrhea at the same time, which doesn’t sound pleasant in the least. I didn’t notice anything wrong until an hour later when I finally crawled in bed. My stomach was sensitive and I was burping until finally I launched myself out of bed to projectile vomit in the toilet. Closely followed by having diarrhea and puking in a trashcan. Oh…this happened about every hour last night. Slept until 2 pm the next day after puking until 8am. My friend had the pork and chow mein with no problems, so must be the chicken. Anyways, BEWARE! We will not be going back.

I love coming to this spot for their phở! Their portions are very generous and they have shrimp phở which is my addiction. The service is incredibly friendly and efficient. It’s been a Venice staple!

The food is AMAZING. The workers here are soo nice! Coming from the Bay, it’s hard to find authentic Vietnamese food unless I drive down to Garden Grove. I’m so happy I found this hidden gem. From the looks outside, it honestly doesn’t seem like this place would be good, but I am so glad I didn’t judge a book by its cover. The workers here let me sample literally every item they had(lol). The phở is phenomenal here. I love it so much better than Nong La and this is coming from a true viet! :) it truly tastes homemade… I love it. DEF making a drive out here instead of Sawtelle next time I crave some Chinese or Vietnamese food:)

This eatery tries to compete with Panda Express, but don’t expect to get Panda here. Prices are less than Panda; two item entrée is only $ 5.95 The Guy who works the counter has a nice personality and is helpful. I received 4 samples of meat entrees. I chose the Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Broccoli. The place really needs a good wipe down; it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned up for some time. Front and dining room Cleanliness: 2 Service: 4 Food quality: 3 Food taste: 3 Freshness: 3.5 Value: 4 This is not a place that I would frequent, but it’s not a bad cheap Chinese takeout. Try it out for yourself. My overall rating is 3 stars

We had a fabulous meal here. Everything was a flavor taste treat. We had Garlic Chicken Fried Rice, Garlic Beef Steak and Fried Chicken Wings, the wings were a taste treat, one bite and we were hooked. The owner came by and passed out some BBQ samples, OMG my taste buds went wild. We had Noodle Soup and it was like no other soup I tasted. This place is a pot of gold. If you are in the Venice area try them out, you will enjoy your meal. Thanks Tasty Goody, we will be back to try more items on the menu.

Blehhhhh gross. Wait I really like Tasty Goody because it’s supposed to be some really like shady Chinese food and it’s always in like these sketch places but this one was just nottt even okay. Their noodles left a really bad metallic taste in my mouth and made me nauseous, which says something because I have very low standards for food that is supposed to be crappy intentionally. If you have food here, I’d say you’re def like playing on the edge. But IDK, MAYBEYOULIKETHAT. You do you.

I took my aunt here for her birthday since she wanted to eat here. This place is meant to be a Chinese fast food place so it doesn’t look the nicest. The food is decent for the price. We both order a lunch bowl with one Arizona ice tea drink and everything came out to be $ 10. We both didn’t finish our lunch either. They give the food in take out boxes so you can just take out if you choose to dine-in. They do catering as well for those interested. They have a wide selection of food to pick from. Not the tastiest Chinese food I have had but hey can’t say no to the birthday girl.
