I found the breakfast sandwich to be bland and tasteless. The coffee was real good. Don’t order the $ 5.99 special.

Rosabellas is the shiz. Its cafeteria style but their chile verde and posole is on point. Also its funny that someone else commented on their rice because it is bomb! I don’t know what they put in the rice, but there’s something in there, I think its love, cuz its satisfying as hell. I got a chile relleno for lunch one day with rice and beans and I could just come here and get the rice by itself. There aren’t many Mexican cafes like this one in Ventura, actually I think this is the only one that sells good ass homemade everything and has a pretty decent sized panederia. So yeah, go to Rosabellas. The dudes working the front are always friendly and hook you up.

Great place to get take out Mexican food, or you can enjoy it there. The staff is friendly, and you get to watch as they make your order. Sort of nice if you want to micromanage just how your burritto or soft taco is made… The cheese/chili tamales were very good, big and flavorable with just the right mix of masa to filling. Both the asada and al pastor tacos were excellent. The refried beans weren’t runny(like so many places!), and the rice was also great. If you like it hot, ask for their habanero sauce. Chips were made on site, crispy and good. The pico de gallo was very fresh, very tasty with just a bit less jalapeño than I like. For those with more timid taste buds, it will be perfect! Pleasant but«cafeteria» sort of vibe. The big windows on 2 sides overlooking a busy intersection almost make you feel like you’re out there on the street. They are open 7 days a week till 9pm,

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. The prices are great. It’s always so clean inside. And the pan dulce is beautiful! Rosabella’s has become my new favorite place to get a breakfast burrito before work! I highly recommend this café & bakery to all!

ABSOLUTELYSPECTACULAR. All around, this business does not lack in any areas from the service to the baked goods and to the food! Never have I had tamales that were made to perfection, not too runny, not dry. Perfect balance of masa and meat. Their tacos. Their tacos. Their tacos. I called in for pick up, asked for 10, and it was close to closing and they were kind and even made a fresh batch of meat to make them. They really go above and beyond and it definitely seems like everyone is happy there since I’ve seen the same faces the entire time they’ve been in business. He even asked me how I spell my name because of the varieties of way you can spell it. Hahah. So sweet! I can’t tell ya how many times Starbucks has spelled it «Matty»,(THAT’S SHORTFORMATTHEW!) It’s MADDIE. Anyway, excellent service and food. It is clear to me that the people here have honest manners. They never make you feel like you’re an inconvenience. Love it. Please stay in business FOREVER. Heehee. This is my number one go-to place for authentic Mexican food, and I highly recommend it. P. S. The empanadas are to die for!

Very clean and pleasant staff, the display of food is very appealing. Pretty tasty Mexican food in my opinion. We had the chile verde dinner plate and children’s rice and bean burrito — guess which one was mine ;). I think we’re going to make this part of our Tuesday ritual. Haven’t tried any of their baked goodies but they look oh so yummy. Will have to go back and try them one day. When I do I will update my review.

This review is purely for their baked goods. We did not try their lunch/dinner menu. Crème brûlée -$ 4.25 Cream cheese pastry — $ 2.00 Pineapple empanadas — $ 1.00 Cheesecake — $ 1.50 First of all, I think the crème brûlée is a bit overpriced. Have not tried that one so I will not say much about it However I did three the other three pastries and I’m sad to say that I only enjoyed the cream cheese pastry. The pineapple empanadas was very mushy inside and I was not a fan of the texture. It didn’t taste much like pineapple to me either. Should have gone for the vanilla empanadas. Either way, was only 1 $ so not much to lose to try I guess. Their mini cheesecake, although appetizing to the eye, was far from tasty to the mouth. It was super bland. The crust was overly dry as well. I was disappointing as I only enjoyed 1⁄3 pastries :(

First time here and I was so impressed! First of all the food is delicious and I really like the café style model they use. I got the nopales and eggs with beans and rice and potatoes, it was the best I’ve had! They have a large selection of beautiful Mexican pastries on display. The one thing I was extremely impressed by was how much pride they have I t heir place. Everything is clean and organized! Def recommend this place to anyone who wants to grab a quick bite to eat but wants really quality food.

I’ve watched several businesses come and go over the years in the building that Rosabella’s Café is in now, the good news is I think this restaurant has the means to stay. When you arrive you walk into a quiet, but pleasantly well seated eatery, the clerk behind the counter greets you right away, the food is behind glass and is buffet style so you can see what your ordering, I’ve been there three times now and I’ve been very impressed by how fresh everything appears. I chose the Chili Relleno the first time I visited with Rice, the Relleno was huge and while the Chile itself was a bit tough, the flavor was good. The Rice was spot on, very cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of seasoning to make this one of my favorite Mexican rices. The pastry section is huge and offers a wide assortment of Pan Dulce(Mexican Sweet Bread) as well as Tres Leches Cake and so many more. They also offer breakfast, my Dad & his buddy went recently and said that one of the owners used to work at a restaurant he served coffee too, my Dad gave the thumbs up to this establishment, said he was a honest and hardworking guy, and Father knows best, right? Rosabella’s in a much needed addition to our community, normally people go to Oxnard to get good Pan Dulce, but now we have our very own place to go… Yeah Ventura, we scored!

I had the pork tamale and a «small order» of their menudo. Everything was delicious! The tamales are some of the best tamales I have ever eaten(sorry, momma). I am definately going to order a dozen of these tamales for xmas lunch at my in-laws this year.

Everything is fresh and delisious, I especially love their soups, freshly made tortillas. They make cakes and pastries too I highly recommend it. It’s cafeteria style, but you can taste and see how freshly made everything is, you won’t be disappointed

Not bad but certainly not great Mexican food. Living in Ventura we have our picks of great Mexican restaurants to eat at, and Rosabella’s would not be at the top of my list. This place is cafeteria style… with some of the items premade and then reheated when ordered. For example, hubs ordered the Chile Relleno Burrito… the Relleno was already made, fried and sitting in a sauce. Not exactly fantastic… edible, but not mind blowing Mexican food. My Chile Verde burrito tasted like pork roast with beans and rice. Zero Chile Verde taste. Zero. Zilch. Nada. When I order Chile Verde I would like the pork to taste like it. Not really into plain chunks of pork. Blegh. I wish we had liked this place more… especially based on all the Unilocal reviews but it was unimpressive for us. Especially with better, more tastier choices here in Ventura.

My family loves Mexican food and we heard of this place so we had to try it! Today is the second time we been since last week. The burritos are huge and yummy! The tortilla chips are great; especially in the nachos. My kids like the setting; a few of the tables are like the one we have at home. They have a kids menu too; smaller servings of food which is perfect for my youngest. After, you get to pick a delicious dessert from there bakery. My only con is the tamale seems a little to masa not enough meat. In all fairness, I have never found a place that makes tamales like my grandmother did so it’s probably just me.

Since my last review, this place has gone through a complete remodel with bright pastry display cases, a coffee station, and now there is a counter where you see what meats and toppings are available for your taco or burrito. When I ordered a tamale, the server ran back and got me a fresh, hot, soft tasty tamale instead of the ones that had been sitting out. The seating has been updated to take advantage of the windows, and it is much cheerier inside. My husband enjoyed his al pasto taco, and they gave me as much fresh pico de gallo as I wanted. You can order any item with or without rice and refried beans. The chile cheese tamale is about the only vegetarian option and there are no whole beans. The hottest hot sauce was mild(darn), but they still have good iced tea and now there is beer on the menu.

Excellent pastries! We stopped by for desert after dinner. Everything look so good we couldn’t decide so we ordered 7 different items and our bill came to $ 7. The owner stopped by out table and we had a nice chat. She is a very sweet and charming woman. We will be back soon for dinner.
