I was in the store during a slow week night and was surprised to find 7 customers in the store and only one salesperson. She was helping a customer before me and was having a difficult time ringing the sale. She then went into the back to talk to another employee about it. She should have asked that employee to come forward and help the many people waiting. She didn’t. After I waited for too long of a time with no acknowledgement and with no help, I left the store! Bad customer service equals fewer sales!

I’ve been going to this shoe store for many years now, and I am really happy with the service! The employees are really knowledgable on their products. I highly recommend Takkens in Ventura!

Wow. Bought sandals and tried to return them with a receipt within the given time. The manager refused to give me a refund, a credit only. I’ve sold shoes at Nordstrom and I believe in customer service. Their policy sucks and they have no knowledge of what customer service is.

We wandered in the other day just to see what was inside. Although the store is a bit small for the amount of shoes it carries, we were very impressed with the selection. Even more impressive were the two women who worked that day. Both had incredible knowledge of the shoes we asked about and all of the ins and outs of the business. We bought three pairs of shoes that day and will go there first when we are in the market for shoes in the future. A definite must-​visit store.
