You definitely can’t complain about the selection here. This place is HUGE. I always feel like I’m making a huge mistake going to Toys R Us without a game plan. Luckily when I came in here the other day it was just for a gift bag. I wish I didnt have to walk through that maze o’ crap that they have set up at the entrance. I dont want to browse! I can see the gift bags, why do I have to walk through two aisles of baby stuff and bubbles and valentines?! I just want a direct route! Be warned– while their gift bags are high quality and worth the money, don’t get tricked into buying gift wrap or tissue paper here. $ 2.50 for 8 sheets of tissue paper is a ripoff! Staff was friendly to me, probably because I was a grown up without any kids or any need for gift receipts. I know what its like to work in specialty big-box retail. It sucks. These kids are doing the best they can.

First of all, there were no carts available when I went in. There were plenty outside in the cart corrals, though. And, when I left an hour later, there were still no carts available for customers, but plenty of carts outside in the cart corrals. Honestly, who is the manager of this place? Speaking of carts, many of the aisles are so narrow, two carts can’t pass each other. Other than that, it is what it is, a toy store, where you find plenty of toys for sale. Check out time was unsatisfactory.

DON’T BRINGYOURKIDS If you can, avoid bringing your kids to Toys R Us at all cost. Your child will go into a froth with the amount of toys they will want you to buy. As a parent, they have a lot of selection but it can be confusing at first. I’ve been there enough to understand how things are laid out but boy it could use some serious signage. It’s also frustrating when you’re trying to find an associate. Where are the people who work here? There’s rarely anyone to help you on the floor. Also, unlike Target or other stores, there are no price scanners out. The prices were missing under items and I wanted to know how much they cost so I had to keep walking up to customer service and asking them to scan the darn item. On a good note, the store is clean, the isles are free of junk laying around and it is very well lit. In addition, Toys R Us has a much better selection than you will find at any other store. They even have Skylander figures special to Toys R Us there. Oh yeah!

Meh. It’s ok. I’m just thankful that it’s nearby, because it seems Toys R Us stores are few and far between, these days. But this store is kinda dingy and dirty. It’s also a wee bit small. The good: I always find gifts for my miniature people… there’s always some sort of birthday party or something to buy for. So I’d rather have a small and slightly dirty store than no store at all!!! Well kept and maintained store but lacks in store associate availability. I like to do a bit of recon before I enter the store, only so that I don’t spend all my time just looking and looking for a gift. Earlier I’d gone online to the Toys R Us website and found their website very user friendly. I’ve got three gifts to find for kids of three different ages. The website allows you to search by sex, age and category of toy; ingenious! Once I had a few ideas and snapped a few photos from the PC onto my phone, I was on the way to the store. I walked around this store for almost forty five minutes and the only time I was ever approached by a store associate was at the very end right before checking out. That’s ridiculous, but I guess that’s also representative of the time of day and the economy. By my own accord I was able to find two of the three items I wanted, the latter I picked up at Target some days later. Upon check out the counter associate asked if I found everything I needed. I responded that I didn’t to which a store manager which was nearby offered to show me. By that time of night I had already spent too much time inside, so I declined. This store is in a strip mall with plenty of parking, due to the unpopular stores nearby it. I don’t go to toy stores often, but this one had a lot of clearance items in front as you walk in. Much of their summer stock is on gross clearance and there are plenty of things you can pick up for a great deal. The one area which was a snooze was their electronics department. Not much going on, maybe kids might get a high from it, I was ready for bed.
