With locations in Middletown and Essex, this Vernon store is a great local shop to check out.
Mountain bikes, road bikes, hybrids — I’m looking to get more into biking this season and decided to stop in last week to see their selection. Staff was friendly and helpful in assisting me in my search. Alex not only showed me popular items, but gave me some insight on the brands that they had.
In business for over 30 years, Pedal Power Vernon also offers a small selection of bike attire and footwear, bike repairs, fittings, custom builds, as well as financing.
Pedal Power also offers group rides, check their FB page or website for updated listing for all types of cycling events.

This is my bike shop when I lived in Vernon and continues to be even though I live in MA now. I have found their service and helpfulness over the years to be invaluable, most of the employees are serious riders and now where of they speak. Dean, who heads up the service department, has been working on my bikes for years and does and exemplary job. I have always been satisfied with my bike purchases and maintenance and Pedal Power will continue to be my choice in all matters to related to biking.

Have meant to write this for a year now; the up-​side to being a year late is that my impression has only gotten better. Pedal Power has that Big bike store showroom and selection; with the small-​local store feel for customer service, attention to detail and flat-​out bike knowledge. Bought a couple of bikes last year, and keep coming back for tips, expertise — and Dean’s superior wrenching. Been riding and racing for years; haven’t been in a shop with this kind of depth in… — well, I guess never.

This is a great local shop, I have purchased a Mountain Bike in the Vernon store and a hybrid bike in Middletown store. The staff at both locations are very knowledgeable and didn’t try to sell my on accessories or upgrades that I didn’t need, based on the type of riding i was looking to do. They made sure the bike was adjusted and road/​trail ready before it went out the door. I highly recommend this shop for a new bike or for service.

No doubt Dean and his crew are there to serve with quick and courteous service. I have always counted on, relied upon, and recommended Dean after just my first experience. The entire staff at this location has always been most helpful and been very attentive to my every need. You won’t find a better shop with a better group of people ready to serve you.
