I’m so happy Vernon FINALLY has a delicious and dependable Chinese restaurant! The restaurant is so clean and the customer service is great! They always make sure to repeat your order back to you upon ordering and the food is exceptionally good! It’s not too greasy(like most other places!) and the service is quick. The sushi is also great! No complaints here and alway try to recommend people to Yang Zi Jiang!

The crab Rangoon and beef steaks are out of this world! I stop here every time when I am in Vernon. Maybe Dennis would have been much more satisfied if he took a Pepcid.

Just your typical fast food chinese spot. I was really dissapointed. Order came out to be around $ 20 for a dinner combo plate and crab Rangoon. Ok no problem. I ate it but it was far from satisfying. Had some heart burn. Not sure about this place.

One of the best Chinese takeout restaurants in the area, we have been there many times and have yet to have a bad meal.

So glad this place opened up close by as I always like to have a few different choices for Chinese when I’m in the mood. This place hasn’t been open for that long yet, but from what I can tell its very clean and well run. Everything that I have ordered so far has been good. The crab rangoons are probably some of the best I’ve had. They are nice and crispy and have a good amount of filling compared to other places. Even better, there are no scallions(I’m pretty picky when it comes to anything in the onion family). I’ve also gotten the beef with broccoli. Theirs isn’t quite my favorite since the sauce is more like a gravy than a soy based sauce, but that’s just a personal preference. They even have a sushi menu, which can sometimes be scary coming from a predominantly Chinese restaurant, however the few rolls that I have ordered were good. Definitely one of my new top places to go, and they even give you free meatballs with every order!

Went there a couple months ago, That chinese food was delicious, mainly a clean business, orders are always right and the server is responsible. This one compares to Peking House where the food has delivered to our house and the out-of-town chinese restaurant we have eaten there for many ages. We will definitely go back again, soon.

I just moved to this area of Manchester and have been looking for good Chinese food and also sushi and was really excited to find this place. I was really worried about ordering the sushi from here because, you know, sushi from a Chinese restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve also ordered the lo mein, kani salad, fried rice, Szechuan beef, and an eel roll. All were delicious. and they are very nice there, they give you free meatballs, which honestly aren’t the greatest but its the thought that counts. Also when you go pick it up, they have the sauces all right there for you to take so you don’t have to ask for more sauce and hope they give you enough. really cool.

Went here for pickup on a once-a-month«screw it» I’m killing some junk food right now excursion and it was well worth it. They were done faster than expected, you can take condiments on the side as needed, and the food tastes very clean. In fact, the only complaint that I had was that I was mentally looking to eat fatty, overdone Chinese food and instead got fairly gourmet, non-greasy noodles and chicken. The upside of this is you do not feel disgusting after eating like most Chinese food restaurants make you feel. Also, I was given free meatballs which were fantastic.

I probably would have never known about this place had I not received a menu that was left at my front door. I don’t often drive down Kelly Road. I am very glad that I kept that menu! One Friday evening, I was too tired to cook, so I decided to get takeout. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. It was perfectly cooked, with lots of sauce and more peanuts and carrots than other restaurants give you. The portion was huge, enough for two meals! Everything is cooked to order, and you can taste that freshness in the food. And, every time I’ve gone in there, they’ve given me either a free appetizer, like pork balls, or a free dessert, like a raspberry filled cake slice… nice touch! Excellent customer service. I highly recommend this gem of a takeout restaurant!

Quick and delicious. Our 2nd time here and quality and taste remain the same. The food is fresh, perfectly cooked — the shrimp not overdone, the broccoli not mushy — well seasoned and just simply great tasting. Service is also polite, always greeted with a smile.

My only complaint is they just recently opened for business and I wish they would have opened years ago. They are always very friendly. Their food is excellent. They don’t skimp! For instance in their pork fried rice — you will find lots and lots of pork. There is a hidden gem on their menu — try their coconut shrimp — omg it’s great! Matt

Yang Zi Jiang is a casual Chinese takeout restaurant conveniently located off I-84 Exit 64 in a strip plaza next to Rita’s. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and two tables(4 seats each) for eating in. There are two flatscreen monitors above counter showing the various food offerings. The menu offerings include the standard Chinese dishes and items including Cantonese, Hunan, and Szechuan style fare. 30 Lunch Specials($ 5.95-$ 6.95) offered until 3PM are served with choice of pork fried rice or white rice and choice of spring roll or pork teriyaki stick. 18 Combination Meals($ 7.95-$ 8.50) served with pork fried rice & egg roll are also offered here. See the menu and pricing at On my way through the Hartford area, I decided to stop off for a quick lunch in Vernon. I stopped for lunch takeout at Yang Zi Jiang very recently. I decided to order two lunch specials since I was pretty hungry. I ordered the L23 Shrimp Lo Mein($ 6.50) and the L27 Mixed Vegetables with Chicken($ 5.95), both served with pork fried rice and I got a spring roll and a pork teriyaki stick(1 of each). The food was cooked fresh to order quickly. The lo mein dish had soft noodles tossed with soft shrimp(cleaned), and a mix of vegetables(carrots, celery, sprouts, cabbage, scallions). The other dish had a mix of fresh vegetables(broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, celery), baby corn, water chestnuts, soft pieces of boneless chicken in a brown sauce. The pork fried rice(golden) had a firm texture with a mix of peas, carrots, onions, and tender pork cubes. The spring roll was light and crispy filled with cabbage, carrot, and seasonings, slightly greasy. The pork teriyaki stick had a sweet flavor, which was tender and chewy. Overall, the food I had was very tasty and fresh. The service here was prompt and the food was ready to go in about 8 minutes. The location is very convenient off I-84 West. Take Exit 64 and make a right and another right into the strip plaza. When exiting to get back onto I-84 West, take a right onto Kelly Rd, then at the adjacent traffic signal, make two quick right turns back onto I-84 West. Easy off-easy on!
