Sunshine Travel RV Resort is a great park. (at the time of writing this I’ve been here 1 month out of a 3 month stay — will update if needed) The Address and Name has Vero Beach in it. But it is actually closer to Sebastian. Which is a great little town.(Vero Beach Proper is about 18 miles). First impression rolling in — great trees and lawns and sites are paved. Nice looking club house and pool and game areas. The sites here are a little tight — as in close together and the pad I’m on is only as wide as my rig. There are 300 sites here. There are a fair number of Park Models(house trailer with porch and skirts and landscaping etc). Wifi and Cable: There is no wifi at the sites and if you want cable you have to get a converter box from local cable company office(free but 18 miles away) for each TV. Wifi is at the club house or office area. We are paying about 40 a month to have wifi with our free cable.(so we have 2 boxes for tv’s and 1 big box for wifi) Up by the pool and club house there are miniature golf, bocci ball pit, horse shoe pits, shuffle board courts and more. The dog park here is amazing! It looks to me to be 2 or 3 acres. It is kept well and big and awesome! There are even Yappy Hours(Happy Hours) there for dogs and their people. There was beer, wine, cheese, crackers, chips, soda and snacks for the dogs and it is cool. There are a lot of things going on at this park — organized day trips, pot luck dinners, a German Dinner, Movie night with snacks, Bingo and more — if that is your thing. A big plus for me here is this park had full recycle service.(Up by garbage dumpsters there are plenty of bins for cans, bottles, cardboard, plastic etc.)(now if people could put the items in the right bin).(This is my first RV park that has such comprehensive recycle available). The grounds are very nice looking — manicured lawns, great trees and flowers and generally a great looking place. The concrete roads have numerous cracks(minor for motor vehicles — but when you ride bike back from store up the street with a 12 pack of beer strapped on — it shakes the heck out of them — careful opening after ride). One other thing I don’t like is this place is very close to I-95 and as I type this I hear trucks going by. It isn’t too bad because of sound wall — but — RV parks should not be on the highway(I RV to enjoy peace and quiet and the sounds of birds or laughter not trucks) There are some good places to eat and explore near by(not walking distance).(there is a McDonalds and a DQ in walking distance but I consider them a last resort type of thing). There is a place called Taco Mobil about 3 or 4 miles down the road — amazing Tacos and such. Sebastian is about 6 or 7 miles and has a lot of cool restaurants and even a brewery and a great park on the river etc. Fellsmere about 2 or 3 miles has great restaurants too. Exploring — Blue Cypress Conservation Area, St Sebastian River Preserve State Park, Sebastian Inlet State Park, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, Great beaches and lots more. This is an Encore park and I got a deal through Thousand Trails(Club) for a stay of 3 Months. I like this place a lot. I hope to return some time. I’ve added photos here
