This is by far the best frozen custard we have ever had. Dave is a sheer genius with the flavors. He uses the best ingredients, always fresh and delicious. Worth every penny. Once we tasted Dave’s frozen custard we stopped going to all the other ice cream shoppes in the area. Nothing compares.

this place is ok. there weren’t too many flavors when i went but i got a scoop of the mountain dew and a scoop of strawberry shortcake. both tasted great, but the mountain dew flavor had more of a hard italian ice texture and when i went to eat it it fell right off the cone. good thing i had quick hands and caught it before it hit the ground! i feel like the scoops were a little small for the price too. i would probably hit this place up again when i’m at chucksters but i wouldn’t go out of my way just to get food here.

Holy moly, this is by far some of the worst ice cream/gelato, etc. in the area. Really. We’ve gone there twice within about a year of each visit and on both occasions, two of the three of us literally had to throw out our ice creams(sorry«gelato») because we could not barrel through the discomfort. My Kindergartner actually volunteered to toss his out even after we tried to cajole him into eating it… and pretending we were enjoying our very lightly flavored, $ 2.75 child sized wintertime road slush confections. We ended up going down the street to a reliable little shop to get ice cream immediately after this, just to feel satisfied. And it worked. Decent place to golf, but tough to swallow(again, literally) their overpriced gelati.

This is by far the best gelato I have had in the area. The staff hand makes it daily and it is rich and cream. Great service as well!

What a discovery! Homemade artisan gelato in the Southern Tier — right on the Chucksters Vestal location with easy parking and relaxing mini golf landscape & trees as your backdrop. We were given samples of the«Chucksters N Cream» by the kind lady making the gelato in the Inside Scoop hut, and it was surprisingly good: not too sweet with a delicate yet complex flavor(we were told that it was part cookies-n-cream and part stracciatella). I would even say the quality is close to or on par with the ones many places I’ve tried in NYC and Michigan. I also enjoy the fun ideas and cool design going into the business, especially the memorable logo(«Inside Scoop… but it won’t be a secret for long!») and flavors like Up Chuck, Chuckster’s Chunk, and yes, Chucksters N Cream. These thoughtful touches show me that the owners themselves are having fun and take joy in what they do. We’re definitely coming back for more :)
