Very nice dining room in the Anchuca Mansion, background music was perfectly quiet. Food was great, wine very affordable and staff very friendly. Would definitely go back here when we’re in Vicksburg again.

We stayed in the rear«slave quarters» of the house, and it was such a lovely stay. All details were attended to– from ice prepped in the fridge, to the air turned down, and chocolates. And did I mention full-sized coffee pot? Staff was helpful and kind; and the tour of the house was informative and brief. The house is centrally located to downtown Vicksburg and its historic districts. Also, don’t forget your swimsuits– the pool is as drool-worthy as the brunch!

We came to Vicksburg to visit for a long weekend and I was blown away when we arrived at Anchuca, the photos online do not do the home justice. the staff was very accommodating and helpful and the grounds are beautiful! We will most certainly be back!

Like many of the other reviews say, go here. This is a small quaint place. The food is so full of flavor, well conducted and rich. We headed in for brunch. It is a small menu but still very appealing. We ordered quiche Loraine and shrimp with grits, all delicious. The coffee is great, made with cinnamon. The service was very professional. Thanks David! My only concern was after the first cup of awesome coffee, the second didn’t taste anything like the first, watered down and no cinnamon. I would highly recommend! Don’t wear jeans or flip flops.

The building is historical and very lovely. The food was great. I had mushroom ravioli it was only 2nd to my wife’s home made. My family had surf and turf and curry chicken salad and they loved it. The pecan pie was good but for me to little filling and to much grenache.

I was worried about finding a restaurant that would accommodate a vegan in Vicksburg, MS but then my family and I found Café Anchuca and my fears were assuaged. The server was kind and helpful and the owner himself came out to discuss what vegetables they had and what could be put together for me. I ended up with a delicious salad that included lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, and avocado slices on top. I was so blown away by how considerate and accommodating everyone was and I recommend this restaurant to any vegan/vegetarians/carnivores/humans that

Sunday Brunch here was a real treat. It’s in a lovely historic antebellum home and the setting could not have been more perfect. We were seated immediately even though they were pretty busy. I ordered Filet mignon Eggs Benedict* which came with a side of cheese grits and fresh fruit. This dish was divine. Just cooked to perfection and oh so delicious. Even though I was pretty stuffed, I decided to make a pig out of myself and had dessert. The trifle was delightful as well. I’d opt for the white chocolate bread pudding next time. In fact… anyone up for a road trip? Café Anchuca is a great choice for Sunday brunch. You’ll be happy if you decide to go. *Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict-soft buttery biscuits with grilled onions topped with tender filet Mignon medallions topped with two poached eggs. Ok? Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Mom and I stayed the night at the Anchuca and were absolutely delighted by the breakfast. We were served a ham and asparagus egg tart, a beautifully fluffy biscuit, a cup of seasonal fruit, and the best damn cheese grits I’ve EVER had. If for nothing else, come to try their cheese grits. They are phenomenal. I have no desire to know how much butter, cheese, and other fatty ingredients may be in them… I just want to eat them every day. It was a lovely breakfast with a little bit for people with all varieties of taste. This is unreasonably picky, but I’d love if Café Anchuca began carrying raw sugar(i.e., turbinado sugar) for coffee and tea. It’s less processed and has such a rich flavor. And yes, the coffee was good.
