My first time here and it was ok. I got pedi done. Not much choice of colors. Didn’t do a good job painting my toes and even out my toe nails. ugh~

I have never written a Unilocal review before, so consider this a big deal that I felt the need to write one for this establishment. I have never in my life experienced a manicure so terrible. I called yesterday to make my appointment for today, and asked for either Loan or Lee, based on previous rave reviews. The lady told me «sure» and then rushed me off the phone without even asking my name for the appointment. I showed up this morning for my appointment and was stared at with confusing stares when I told them I had an appointment with Loan or Lee… clearly no one had written anything down, but they told me ok and walked me to a chair. A woman came to do my nails, and lets just say I have never experienced someone working at the speed she did. She was clearly in a rush and I don’t think she even really cut my cuticles and nail beds, which I had specifically asked she really cut because mine are dry and grow back quickly. Im not sure what to call the shape she filed my nails into either. I decided to ask her her name, and she replied «Tracey»…clearly not Loan or Lee as I had asked. A man walked in about half way through my appointment and apologized for being 20 minutes early and said he would wait. Well the races were on then, she began to work even faster, rushing through every single step. I’d say I got about a 20 minute manicure. The polish is sloppy, corners of my nails are missing polish, there are lumps in the painting, there is polish on my fingers, etc. she even had the audacity to jump up after finishing with me, and apologize to the man, as if she had kept him waiting… he was 20 minutes early for his appointment and I got the short end of the stick. I haven’t dealt with such unprofessionalism and poor customer service in a really long time and for that reason alone, I wouldn’t return to this nail salon if it were the last one standing. There are too many other great salons in the Vienna and Fairfax areas. I’ll be back for Red Mango, but NEVER for Central Nails.

Central Nails is located in the same plaza as Red Mango. I went on a Sunday and did a walk in. I waited about 5 minutes and was able to start my manicure. My person did a great job of cleaning up my cuticles. The polish was done well too and lasted a full 7 days.
It was $ 12 for my manicure and they use a quick dry top coat which is awesome.

I have been going to Central Nails for over five years and I love it. They welcome me with big smiles and make conversation with me while taking care of my nails. That is much, much different than any other nail shop! Two ladies (Loan and Lee) have been there that long and do an excellent and careful job. The price is right, too.

Had a mani/​pedi here a couple weeks ago. It was ok but nothing special. I came in toward the end of the day and my entire visit felt rushed, to the point where I decided to skip polish on my fingers because I thought it would be quickly & sloppily done. I won’t be returning.

I came here on President’s Day afternoon, they were open until 7:00 and I arrived around 5:45. They weren’t busy, but the two people on staff were doing pedicures (in the those great chairs, love!) and I just needed a manicure, so I had to wait, no big deal.
They were very attentive as soon as I arrived, however, telling me it would be a ten minute wait (and it was, almost on the nose), so I went next door and got frozen yogurt while I waited (bonus!).
They did a great job on my manicure, and at $ 12, i was not disappointed. They used fresh tools for me, and I saw them cleaning and sterilizing things while I was there from the pedicures, and it all looked clean. A Mani/​Pedi is $ 30, and I would go back here in a heartbeat.

This is my go-​to place for eyebrow waxing. Decent price ($ 8) and they do a good job. I’ve had my nails done here a few times and they do a good job on those as well. They are good with walk-​ins and I have never had to wait too long.
