I’m so surprised, how could a great place go this long in a town I have lived all my life in. The only down side are the prices and odd hours.

The white pizza is delicious. Great service and gluten free options as well. Always a goto for a nice evening out.

What a find! Delicious fare, well presented, with friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Cindy and Chef James Auvil’s CJ’s italian Kitchen’s delicious gluten-free dairy-free pizzas made with freshest toppings and the extra bonus of gluten-free and dairy-free gourmet desserts from Shannon Strauss’ 2 Chicks Bakery in Marietta, OH, made the trip well worth it. The restaurant is located on a lane at the top of the hill off the road through the gates of a housing subdivision. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would travel a ways to dine there again.

We went here again on a recent Friday night, and I thought I’d write another review because the menu seems to have changed quite a bit since our last visit. The raviolis seem to be a thing of the past, and now they have a much more traditional Italian menu, although they still have the gourmet wood-fired pizzas as well. I had the chicken parmesan, and the portion was huge! My husband had the lasagna, and the portion of that was about right. There was only one thing about our meal I didn’t like– the flavor of their marinara sauce. It had something«extra» in it that just turned me off. I thought it was cilantro, but I couldn’t be sure.(Does anybody actually put cilantro in their marinara sauce?) The rest of the food seemed really fresh and well-prepared, but every bite was slathered in the red sauce that I just didn’t care for, so I’m afraid that’s going to be a deal-breaker for me. We might still go back and try the pizzas, though.

Excellent food, friendly professional service. Well run. Highly recommended. Restaurant is a little noisy at times, maybe everyone is enjoying themselves.

Amazing and incredible gluten free food. Not only the best in town — some of the best I’ve had anywhere!

Delicious! Traveling for work in Parkersburg. CJ’s Italian Kitchen was amazing! Excellent apps, yummy entrees — I had the ‘make your own pasta’ with spicy chicken and veggies in a white wine sauce. Co-worker had the blackened chicken linguini special. Service was great. All around great experience! Will definitely come back when in town again.

Friendly staff and fast service. We had an over zealous waitress that was becoming more of a nuisance with each minute she stopped by. Cheese Fonduta was very good. Ravioli are a specialty & I had the seafood ravioli with spicy red sauce. Seafood was to include shrimp and lobster. The sauce was very spicy and flavorful. Ravioli had shrimp but I not certain about the lobster. Also eaten at our table were the blue crab ravioli which were enjoyed by those that ordered and mushroom ravioli with vodka cream sauce. My friend was surprised that the vodka sauce was spicy but she enjoyed it anyway. For dessert they had red velvet cupcakes and I had tiramisu. They enjoyed the cupcakes and I thought the tiramisu was okay.
