To be fair, the staff at this location are very nice people and the facility is great. Pamela, you are awesome so dont take this personally. But this company and its employees will tell you one thing and do the exact opposite. Make sure that you read your contract when buying a membership or better yet go tan with another company. Solar Dimensions will continue to charge your account until you physically go to the location and sign more forms to cancel. They do not give refunds so once a balance has posted to your account, you will never see that money again(eventhough they can clearly see that you didnt use their facilities). For example, I told the staff that this was my first time tanning and that I wanted to tan for a few weeks leading up to a vacation. Knowing full well that I only needed a few weeks(less than a month), they signed me up with a package that I was told included one month of tanning. So after paying for one month up front I asked«this is all I have to pay right? I wont find any surprises down the road will I?» She said«No» and also explained that I could freeze my one month membership to save the last week for a later time since i would be leaving for vaca before my membership ran out. I decided not to freeze it and to let the membership run out. Let that sink in for a minute… Sunk in yet? So here is what Solar Dimensions actually did. That one month membership automatically renues as soon as the one month is up. This is exactly the opposite of what I asked for and what I was told I was given. The staff will not tell you about the auto renual even when you ask them directly(apparently…). So after seeing that I was charged for another one month membership I called corporate to see why. The man who answered the phone reviewed my case and said that he could see that I had not used the facility during the SECOND month of my ONE month membership and that I would get a refund. About 15 minutes later Caleen Vail from Solar Dimensions corporate calls me back to inform me that I would infact not be receiving a refund. Uh, WTF? I explained to Caleen that I only signed up for one month, hadnt been back in since the one month expired and what I was told by her employee when signing up and that that in itself was grounds for a refund. Ya right. Caleen went on to read straight from the corporate playbook saying that I signed a contract and that no refund would be given and that if I wanted to cancel, I would have to physically go back in and sign the cancellation papers. If you have read this far, I am sure you can guess how the rest of that conversation went. All in all, no refund. Clearly, corporate does a poor job(intentionally) of training their employees on the details of memberships. You have to read the fine print in the contract because if you give this company the chance, they will screw you in every way possible. Shame on Solar Dimensions for allowing this to happen and for continuing to employ people like Caleen Vail who represent your companies very misguided values. Take my advice and look elsewhere when picking a tanning company especially if you are new to the tanning business.

I only come here for spray tans but I have never had any complaints. $ 30 per spray tan seems outrageous to me so I’ll only purchase them when there are deals. Outside of the city you can find them everywhere for $ 15-$ 20 which seems much more reasonable for something that never even lasts a week. Be sure to get on the mailing list because they have them pretty often! Also, make sure you check in so you can get $ 10 of free services!

Hands down, this is my favorite tanning salon. The staff are wonderful, and I’ve always had a good experience with Solar Dimensions. The beds are clean, the staff are helpful, parking is easy, and even though the location is a bit smaller, I’ve never waited for a bed. The manager, Pamela, is wonderful and is definitely another reason why I chose this Solar Dimensions location.

I’ve really enjoyed my experiences at Solar Dimensions. I’m new to the Atlanta area, and happened to notice this salon one night when grabbing drinks across the street. I don’t know how they ever get business, because its tucked away in the back of the shopping center. However, I’m glad I found this place. I’m a creature of habit and have come back here because the memberships are fairly affordable and the service is top notch. The taller dark haired girl, Pamela, is always super helpful, and seems to really care about her customers. I love it when a place greets you warmly and remembers little things about you… but I work in customer service, so this is huge for me.

This is by far my favorite SD location. It’s a smaller store but it’s always clean and welcoming. Conveniently located and plenty of parking. Sales staff is always friendly and helpful. I get great color from the sunless booth and they have great package prices. ALSO sounds like Megan(reviewer above) might have some kind of highschool vendetta against one person not the actual tanning salon. The review wasn’t really speaking about the beds or the tan but her complaints with some sales chick.

Let me preface by saying Palm Beach right up the street is 1000 times better and everyone thinking of going here should just go up the street to PB! Just in case you don’t read my entire review(it’s long I know but I really hate SD!) the biggest issue I had with them was when my bf started going with me briefly last year one of the girls who works up there wouldn’t stop hitting on him. She got his cell # from his file and started sending him pictures of herself which is obviously NOT acceptable. I hate Solar Dimension. First, the girl at the front desk Emily is basically a used car salesman for tanning products but she acts in such an idiotic ditzy manner that you assume there is no way she has enough brain cells to pull one over on you. She started by showing me beds which is great but she really only shows you the most expensive beds then kind of mentions the other more affordable ones and says they suck and you don’t want those anyways(of course before telling you the prices). Then on to the lotion part of the pitch. She asked what soaps & lotions I’m using — I use strivectin which is amazing and my dermatologist specifically recommended it but according to Emily it will«literally wash your tan right off.» I’m sorry but I was born and raised in Florida; I think I know better what works for the tan I have been getting/maintaining most of my adult life than a greasy college kid with terrible hair and what looks like a fake bake tan but I humored her. She recommended(surprise surprise) the line of mineral sun which is exclusively sold at SD. According to good old Emily I needed a different lotion to tan my face and body then after sun moisturizers for face & body plus a separate soap for face and body(to avoid washing my skin pigment down the drain apparently) making it absolutely necessary to get SIX bottles of some shit that they obviously peddle since they get some kind of kick back. I had a feeling what was coming but I asked hypothetically if I were to buy all this shit with the lotions and the membership she said I absolutely needed(because as she put it I would not get tan at all unless I was in the most expensive bed) how much it would run me. Grand total? $ 400 — yes that’s right, FOURHUNDREDDOLLARS! PLUS another $ 120 per month — PLUS of course I would need new lotions and soaps about every 6 – 10 weeks so I would literally spend more on tanning than my utilities. Plus they try to make you sign up for a contract so you have no choice but to pay them this insane amount every month with no escape — like a gang or something… I told the little psycho I would take a basic membership on a month to month basis which was supposed to be something like $ 49.99 per month and I moved on with my life. The first month I was charge almost $ 80 on my credit card so I cancelled and never went back. Also, they try to sell you on something every time you walk in and I hate being hassled when I’ve already had to hear your insane sales pitch. They try to tell you that you need to lose weight so you’ll buy a body wrap which I hate. If I want to lose weight I’ll diet and exercise not pay you even more money to lose water weight — which by the way I’m a size 5 anyways so I’m not obese or anything.
