Consistently great quality food. I’m a food snob and I say this is the best Thai restaurant in Roanoke. The«excited chicken» is awesome! My husband loves the«hot basil chicken.» The vegetables are always fresh and the meat is very good quality. This is NOT mall Asian food. There’s never a lot of people here and I can’t figure out why. If you love Thai food give this place a try.

Such a delightful, authentic place! The owner was very friendly, and the food was amazing. Try the mango sticky rice!

This place is great. My partner and I both ordered different variations of green curry(I got the shrimp, he got the scallops) and it didn’t disappoint! It was obviously cooked to order. The veggies and seafood were fresh, and even the rice was a step up from plain white rice(it was a mixture of white and dark brown — something I’ve never seen before). Flavors were awesome and portion sizes were just right. The only con would be that they served it on a plate, and personally I think that’s strange. Also, the ambiance is OK — but a little dingy and overall the place looks like a whole in the wall from the outside. But dim lighting and soft music balance that out and make for a nice setting for a casual dinner. Give this place a shot if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

I enjoy the food here. being gluten free it is hard to find a place to eat that serve healthy food. the staff is fabulous and always willing to help. The Crying tiger is my favorite and they make it as spicy as I like. thank you for all you do.

Authentic Thai food in Vinton, VA. Great for when you need a little spice in your life. Great food, fair prices for what you’re getting and the curry is almost therapeutic.

By far … The best Thai food in the Roanoke Valley. My husband enjoys all of the tofu options and I love the pad Thai and shrimp and snow peas. Recommend this for all who love Thai!

If you know vinton then you will know what I mean when I say looking for Thai in downtown vinton is like expecting to find a 32 ounce fountainhead soda in New York and actually finding one. I have almost no experience with Thai food except for maybe a serving or two of pad Thai. I had heard so much about Red Jasmine that the wife and I decided to try it. Not having anything to compare it too I can’t give it any more than 3 stars. I had the yellow curry with chicken. It was tasty and fresh, but I don’t feel compelled to go back for more. I will go back, but next time I will go for the noodles. it’s clean and the service was friendly.

My mom & I were in Vinton today and had a late lunch at Red Jasmine(RJ). I live in LA and know good Thai food. When we passed by mint and Thai basil growing outside, I suspected that the food would be good. The food and service at RJ were impeccable. We were the only customers at that time — sometimes that feels awkward, but our hostess/waitress/owner(?) made us feel very comfortable. The background music was pleasant. I had Thai iced tea and chili basil with tofu, my mom had chicken lover. The vegetables in our dishes were extremely fresh, my chili basil was spiced perfectly to make my eyes tear a little and my nose run — that’s a gauge of proper heat level for me! My mom’s chicken, vegetable, cashew dish was not spicy, and was perfect for the neophyte Thai consumer. The portions were large enough that we had leftovers to bring home. I thought the bill($ 22) was quite appropriate. I would recommend Red Jasmine for anyone looking for good Thai food in the valley. Don’t wait to be in the neighborhood.
