Went in thinking WOW… I love the theme, the costumes and the atmosphere. The food on the other hand way not great. First infraction… Took 30 min for our appetizer to come out… which were steak bites and they were tasteless and dry. 2nd issue 25 mins later our food comes out and the burger has no flavor and fast raw and my husband chicken sandwich is dry and taste frozen. This will be the first and last time I come here. I hate wasting money on crappy food. Funny fact while writing this I am waiting for my bill which we have been waiting for 15 mins and counting …

I really like the atmosphere and the food here. The wait staff are always dressed up in a nautical sense and it gives the restaurant a good vibe. The last time I was here, I came with my boyfriend. It took about 10 minutes to get coffee, and my coffee cup had a lipstick stain on it as if it hadn’t been washed. I let her know and she replaced it with a different mug, but then they were out of spoons to stir the coffee. The place was only about half full so I didn’t know how they managed with a full house. I got the crab Benedict and I couldn’t have been happier. It doesn’t come with sides so she advised me to get a side to make up for the small portion, at the extra charge. Once I was done with the Benedict I didn’t even need the side because I was full! My boyfriend got the French toast and I was amazing! Highly recommend.

Great great food!!! Lauren is the Best!!! I had the Crab Cake App and the Torpedo Chorizo Burrito!!! It’s just a great place and a great environment! All their food is named after historical Navy ships and rates along with classic Navy lingo! Highly recommend Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner! If 6 stars was an option it would get all 6.

After a disastrous Taco Tuesday at Tubby’s last week, a friend suggested we do it at Anchor Allie’s and what a difference! There are five or six types of tacos to choose from, each with its own particular dressings, and(shockingly!) our orders all came out at the same time and all tacos were on one plate. Our waitress nailed the 40’s makeup and dress but more importantly, was so attentive without overstaying her welcome. Each of the tacos was so delicious and assembled with care. Would totally recommend this place(and apparently, the breakfasts are great too). Next time — it’s Wing Wednesday!

What a wonderful place to enjoy you breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very nostalgic restaurant with a 40’s to 50’s flare! Food is outstanding and price is very reasonable. Fabulous bar and drinks! Stop by and give it a try … You won’t regret it!

Stopped by Anchor Allies Monday, Feb-15th. When i walked through the door i was amazed by the décor! They nailed the Sailor/Pin up theme! I went in for breakfast and was seated at a booth. I finished my plate and could have honestly gone for more! I suggest the Frogman Burrito! The food was Amazing, but the service was even better! The waitress was super polite, very helpful with suggestions and NAILED the pinup theme! I wish i could remember her name, I want to say it was Ashley, but she had beautiful tattoos, short hair, and a big smile! Even though the restaurant was busy, she made sure i was taken care of and had everything i needed. Not to mention she was funny! I told her i would be back with my wife and kids, hope to get seated with her again! This is a need to try place! I suggest it! Great food, Great enviorment, and Awesome service! (Monday’s are Prime Rib Night!)

Great French toast! Great turkey burger with avocado. Friendly service staff, which you don’t see much now days. Nevertheless, I will be back to order different items.

Besides the pretty people who work here, I was surprised how good the food is here. My foodie friends invited me here since it replaced what used to be «It’s all Greek to me». I was sad that place closed down, but not until I stepped into this little gem. I like how they gear things on the menu towards the Navy, I noticed that a good amount of the military come here in packs and A.A. makes the dining area so accommodating. We sat down, got our waters and everyone all the table ordered the Sailor Shrimp Tacos, I could definitely see what my friends were bragging about, everything tasted fresh. I ordered the Sweet Potato fries and they were ok, nothing grand, of course the regular fries are the best.

And I highly recommend the place… Allison has done a great job with her place!!!

Service was great. Food was good but not great. I was waiting for the wow factor — it never came. We had two entrees. A few suggestions: Pancakes: didn’t have butter on them that we could tell. Didn’t get butter as a side. We did get syrup but it was cold. Warm syrup and butter would make a big difference. Shipmate Sandwich: was good but not great. Came with avocado and I got two very small slivers on the sandwich. Place was empty(we were there at 2ish). It was just us and another couple. With the above being said — it’s locally owned so I would return.

Stopped here on New Years with my friend after passing on IHOP and Village Inn because of the long wait. We walked in and it took a few minutes for someone to even say hello, even though a few waitresses looked at us as we stood there. When we ordered our food we waited quite awhile for it to come out, granted it was quite busy. What really disappointed me during our visit boils down to the waitress. We were given coffee immediately after ordering when we sat down, however our coffee was never refilled the whole time we were there. I paid $ 2 and some change for a small cup of coffee and was thirsty the entire time I was there. I was only offered more coffee when she came to give us the check. The ketchup at our table had one squirt left and then was empty; also no butter on our table. Another thing that really stood out to me was the way the staff was dressed. They seemed to go with a nautical/patriotic theme, however it was hard to tell who actually worked there. There was also one particular waitress that was wearing shorts so short I actually thought she was just wearing underwear. But I will say that the food was AMAZING! I got sausage biscuits and gravy and my friend got fish tacos. Would definitely return for the food, but probably on a slower night because the staff seemed much too overwhelmed.

This place is a staple for lunch with our office. Patriotic theme(Navy) with great service. The food is AWESOME. I’ve honestly never had anything that I didn’t like there. The beakfast menu is top-notch. Either the«Frogman» burrito or the«Corpsman» breakfast sandwich would be pretty tough to beat. For lunch, I recommend a sandwich called«The Aviator» with a small bowl of their tasty Chili and a small side of the sweet potato fries Make sure you pick up one of the punch cards from waitresses.

I’ve been to this location 3 times with my family. We’ve eaten from both the breakfast and dinner menus. Everything we tried has been delicious. My favorite is the chicken club on a pretzel roll with a fruit cup for a side. The sandwich is a grilled chicken breast with cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The pretzel bun is an extra $ 1, but worth it. The fruit cup is fresh fruit, not from a can: 3 apple slices, 2 orange slices, kiwi, pineapple, green seedless grapes, strawberries, and blackberries. I’ve also had an omelet that was tasty. My son likes their pancakes and my daughter usually gets the French toast. It’s locally owned by a Navy veteran. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, including several choices from Young Veterans Brewing Company. You can support 2 local businesses at once!

This place is really cute. From the adorable waitress to the really cool decorum. We were greeted and seated immediately. There wasn’t anyone else there so we had a booth. I ordered the chicken omelet. The eggs had a weird rubber texture and there were large chunks of garlic in it. The home fries were just large pieces of potatoes. Overall, I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t eat half of my meal but my husband loved it and ate mine. They gave us a BOGO coupon for dinner which I plan to use with hopes that the food is better. Great service, clean restaurant and decent prices.

Cool spot! It will always hold a tiny spot in my heart because I celebrated my 36th birthday here recently. We had a party of about 23 people and they were very friendly & accommodating! Very rare that places take reservations anymore, for brunch, let alone on a Saturday! Million props for that alone. The décor is awesome — I love Nautical themes and chalkboards — and they had both! Service was great as well, again, especially for the size of my party. The food was good — I had the Bacon, tomato, avocado Benedict with home fries. I got it without tomatoes, because… I just don’t like them. I did ask for extra avocados though, and that’s where my only complaint is — the avocado was not ripe — it was still really hard. No ones fault though. I did love the fact that for the bread, they didn’t use the typical and expected English Muffin; they used French Bread, which in my opinion made it even better. I would definitely come here again. Nice place, good service, and it’s Veteran owned! I will always support the troops! :D

A great place A 50s vibe going on. The ladys are dress in short shorts skin tight shirts some half and the service is great. 5 stars to Ashley great and friendly and love the tattoos they have like sailor outfits. Well the Rubin sandwich was outstanding on rye bread fresh and jucy. wasn’t a fan of the potato salad a bit hard for me but still good. It was a very large meal for a good price it costed about 11.00 with drink will be back love the place

Anchor Allie’s is a post run tradition in our house and a favorite around my husband’s command. It’s a small restaurant and it can get busy on the weekends so larger parties can expect a wait. The décor is fabulous and I love that waitresses are dressed like pinup girls. I’ve never had any issues with the food. My usual is the Seabee Juicy Burger with bleu cheese, jalapeños, grilled onions, avocado, peppers, and an egg overeasy served on a pretzel bun with a side of onion rings. Seriously, they need to name this one after me. My husband likes the Corpsman sandwich. Service is always friendly and they never seem to mind when we come in dirty and smelly after a run.

We came here on Sunday for a brunch and was expecting a wait but nope we got sat immediately. I ordered coffee and my boyfriend ordered a manmosa with cherry vodka and it was really good. For breakfast, my boyfriend got the biscutt and gravy with 2 eggs over easy and home fries and he enjoyed it except that there was onions in the home fries and he doesn’t eat onions so maybe an exact description on the menu would be helpful. Now I’m a newly vegetarian so I’m trying to find ways to enjoy brunch without the beloved bacon and eggs. Now I do eat cage free eggs and even asked the waitress if they used them but she said probably not since it’s bought in bulk and they don’t offer any egg substitute so I opted for 2 pancakes and a side of home fries. Pancakes were okay. Nothing different then a box mix. And home fries were fine. We got a free drink, The Bloody Mike from the boss so that was cool and it was delicious. So 4 stars because the drinks were good and the prices were awesome and so was the service.

Anchor Allie’s reminds me a lot of what Johnny Rocket’s was before it became so commercialized. It has a solid theme, patriotism in the 40’s kinda vibe. The staff wore color coordinated outfits, but not the SAME outfits(which was fantastic). A pretty cool and diverse looking menu that has a solid Bar/Bistro feel, I was waffling between a couple of selections and my attentive waitress narrowed the decision down for me. My fish tacos were delicious and the onion rings were completely amazing. They had this like… I don’t know how to explain it, pancakeish consistency batter? Fantastic. Complete with a spicy dipping sauce, ketchup need not apply. What keeps this from that good-as-it-gets flag is the wait for my food. From the time I sat, till the time I dug into my first onion ring, weighed in at 42 minutes. Which, when you’re there by yourself is a lot of time to think about things! I think maybe a bread appetizer or something to break up that wait would’ve helped(it wouldn’t of hurt!). Additionally, as a solo diner, I always like a brief chat once in awhile with the staff, I felt like I was more of a check mark. She did keep my drink full, so it’s a minor issue. Lastly, and this is nit picky, but I also thought the music, while incredibly tasteful, sort of let the theme down. Granted I don’t want to listen to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy on a loop, but a few classics thrown in wouldn’t hurt.
