Yard House

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here at Yard House. After work a couple times a month, I’ll come out here with some friends for Happy Hour, which is the best deal ever! Where else can you get a variety of huge appetizers for $ 5 – 8?!
My favorites off the Happy Hour menu are the chicken nachos and BBQ chicken pizza. Other honorable mentions are the fried calamari, kung pao calamari, buffalo traditional wings, and the blue crab cakes. Every once in a while, I’ll order the truffle fries off the regular menu and completely blow my carb intake (but it’s secretly worth it) :-)
The staff is very attentive and never let my drink hit rock bottom. Service is also relatively quick. The restaurant is dim, classy, and loud but that’s what makes it a great sports bar, right?

Gone here a couple times and I’m always impressed about the service. The food is always great. Last time my friends and I went, our waitress Kristy took great care of us. She kept our glasses full and made sure that we were okay. One downside is that the noise level is at a high and that it was a little dark. I enjoy seeing my food when I eat.

Tried Yard House for the first time a couple weeks ago and now I can see why people love this place so much.
The space is really big, modern décor and friendly atmosphere.
To drink I think I started with the Pomegranted Margarita, which I thought was weak, so I switched to the Escalade Margarita (lol, ghetto, i know) & i like that much better.
I wasnt super hungry this day so I ordered the Grilled Korean Beef BBQ app and mannnnn SO SO declious. For anyone who has had authentic bugoli i feel like you wont be dissapointed with this dish, and it was even better the next day!

Awesome atmosphere. So many TVs, good for games of all sorts. The amount of draft beer there have is unreal, literally anyone could have found a beer that they would like. The bar was great, food even though we only got a few snacks were also great. We saw other people’s plates and know it’s a definite spot to return. Seemed like it was good for bigger parties of people, and for sure a nice place for a small group of friends. Prices seemed normal for a bar/​restaurant area. They have a happy hour special which seems to be one to take advantage of. Definitely will be returning, the staff was also always trying to make sure you were good, food and drink wise. All of the bartenders were ours not just one, which was nice.

Coming to YardHouse is the best. I never have bad service and I always leave this place pretty wasted. It seems like every time I come in, Jaime is my server and she always takes good care of us. I always liked the vibe here. Sort of a business casual type feel here. I like dressing nice coming here too. Anywho, I normally don’t eat here, I mainly come by for some booze. Just trying to get my drank on and get loose after a long day of work, feel me? I usually order the green flash Le freak or the green flash imperial. Occasionally I get the St. Bernard if I’m trying to get turnt to the max. A few of those will get me going. I’ve had a few Moscow mules here just because I’m ginger ale type of guy. I always like how Moscow mules a presented to you in that tin cup. As far as food goes, it never failed me. I’ve had a few burgers, poke bowl, chicken tenders, and the pastas and there all bomb diggity. So if y’all trying come here to get your drank on or your munch on at 12am, come to this spot, you’ll be pleased. Just doing my best to keep it real.

My husband and I come here all the time, it’s a favorite at his command. They have an impressive list of beers. The menu is eclectic and the food is always on point. The only downside, it’s almost always packed. If you’re like looking for someplace intimate this isn’t the restaurant for you. I don’t really care for the hostesses for some reason they’re always snotty but I try to give them a break because it’s a busy place. Never had an issue with the wait staff. Pricing is on par with the rest of Town Center.

Service was a lot better this time around. I really did come back because I was taken on a date haha (referring to my last review). We started @ the bar because it was packed but we were able to get seated in a booth 15 minutes later.
The meal was good and so was our server, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. Happy hour was extended that night also so that was a plus. Food is a little pricey but the atmosphere is great, dim-​lighted yet appropriate.

Quite pricey for alcohol, but their food is amazing. They do have a great appetizer menu during their happy hour. Never had a «miss» with food.
We have had many big group parties here and they tag team with service, so there is very little wait for drinks or food.
It’s «family friendly «, however, craft beers with high percentages of alcohol and friends, make for a rowdy time. Children should not be allowed in after a certain time.
We all meet out there often.

They have great happy hour deals on drinks and food. I am usually the designated driver because I am not a big drinker, so I appreciate the nice discounts on their yummy apps. They recently changed their California roll that is more like a stack, I am not sure how much I like it, it seems to be different every time. The poke stack is consistently amazing! This praise is coming from a Hawaii girl, give me a bowl of rice and I am a happy camper!
My other go to is the ahi salad. So fresh! I like that they have two sizes, the smaller portion is great for just one and the larger is enough for sharing. The dressing goes very well.
My husband likes the traditional and boneless wings and the pizza and of course, the beers on tap! He is a big fan of the half-​yard (see why I have to DD?) We both enjoy the nachos, a huge plate of goodness with lots of toppings that are distributed well throughout. We also enjoyed the lamb burger! It is good quality and prepared properly.
We like this place because anyone you go with can find something they will like. It has lots of room and accommodating to large parties. The lighting is very dim, like a bar, at night. As long as I can see my food, I’m fine with it! Music varies but is usually pretty fun, some old school jams! Sports are always on the tv, good luck trying to have your husband hold an entire conversation without checking the game lol.
The service is great, friendly and professional. We had a problem once and the manager was very prompt with assisting us, we were not upset, there was just a bill mixup and she took care of it.

We got there just in time for Happy Hour which was amazing. Even though my daughter was actually there to get the fish and chips, she said it was a bit soggy wish it was more crispy, but she said her fries was great. We also had sweet potato fries, traditional firecracker wings and calamari which was terrific. We actually got an order of calamari to go for my father (he loved it btw). One additional thing I want to add, our waitress Alex she was the best! Very friendly, upbeat, helpful and very tentative, granted they do make most of their pay through tips, but she went an extra mile and great in what she do. We wanted to give a compliment to her manager but they were very busy and just decided to rave about her on Unilocal which most of this compliment is about her… lol. Other than the fish not being crispy enough the rest of our food was great!

My husband and I love coming here! One of favorite restaurants in the Hampton roads area.
I’m a vegetarian so I love the fact that they have a decent sized menu for us veggie eaters!
Everything is tasty and we’ve always had the best time. Customer service is great and the ambience is perfection!

Busy Saturday night. Our service was very poor, although the service station was right next to our table and we could hear and see the servers chatting and laughing. LooooOOOoooooOoong wait for drinks. And then a sloooooow agonizing wait for our order to be taken. We finally had appetizers delivered and THEN had to wait to flag down someone (anyone!!) to bring silverware and napkins. She kindly brought us beverage naps from the bar… But hey, where was «our» server? By 10pm the crowds had thinned out and by now we were just laughing at the quality of service. When our entrees were delivered, two in our party had fries with their order, if only the server came back to check if we needed ketchup or anything else. That was too much to ask for…
The food itself was very good. Not outstanding. But the poor service marred our experience. We were a party of 5 with a check of over $ 125. Our server missed a major opportunity to upsell (desserts, drinks etc) and make a fabulous tip…

Happy Hour is the best!!! We always order a table full of apps ½ price and drinks. (Try a Rose Garden) Yummy
Very reasonable prices and the food is delicious!

This was quite the find. We’ve lived here for years and can’t believe we’ve missed this.
1. Beer selection is no joke. First place we’ve found Kilkenny on tap in this entire area. (Except Ireland at Bush Gardens Williamsburg)
2. The food both appetizers and main course were really delicious. I had the Poke Stack and it was really delicious. I would have liked a little sweetness to cut through the saltiness of the dish. That is literally my only complaint. I also had the Orange peel chicken. Loved it! Sweet and crispy. Even after I reheated it at home. Their duck wings are the BEST! Crispy and tasty. The boyfriend had the Kimichi tacos. He only wished their were more kimchi. Otherwise still good.
3. Servers were very friendly. Restaurant starts to get a little busy around 5 for happy hour.
Totally recommended!

The drinks here are alot better then at most places near by, not just the beer but alot of other specialty drinks here are worth cpming back for, i got a salad this evening and it was so big i couldnt finish it.

I only come to yard house late a night on a date or with a group of friends. I have only tried their (Mac and Cheese) 2 and a couple of burgers. Onion ring tower is good, can’t go wrong with calamari, and all their burgers are worth trying they come with a choice of regular fries, sweet potato, or truffle. The pepper crusted Gorgonzola was recommended to me by my server my most recent visit and I didn’t have to add condiments. Omg it was so good just thinking about it. Diverse selection of craft brews. They give you samples if you can’t decide what to get. Ask for their flight list, it changes out every season. TVs everywhere and bumping music selection. Good time every time.

When I visit VA, I always try to make a point to visit Yardhouse. Interesting, I only had liquid refreshments and not the food. But, the food must be great because this place is ALWAYS packed. Sometimes, I see people waiting 60+ minutes for a table. At least for me, no food is good enough to wait 60+ minutes.
On to the fun stuff. Yardhouse has a great selection of IPAs, my favorite type of beer. The bar service is pretty good. Even the place is always crowded they bartenders will take some time to explain or recommend various brews based on your likes and dislikes.
Word to the wise: Try to get here as early as possible if you are hanging out with more than 2 people, especially during the holiday season.

After six visits to Yard House during Happy Hour over the past few months a refresh of my review is necessary.
The great news is I’m moving up to a 4 which I had previously been before some service issues. Happy hour is M-​F 3 – 6 and quite the bargain on taps and appetizers. I have loved it! Is it the best happy hour at the beach, well I can think of none better considering the menu, service and prices.
Had an Old Rasputin and paired it with the yummy Moo Shu Egg Rolls. Bar tenders have been attentive and even had manager come check on me one of the visits.
Check them out during happy hour, I doubt you will be disappointed. I look forward to a return soon.

Been awhile since I’ve been here, but decided to come here for happy hour the other day with my wife. We sat at the bar and Kevin (bartender) helped us choose the right drinks. He helped my wife pick a nice red wine and he introduced me to a drink called «Old 43». He said it was their take on an old-​fashioned. I actually like whiskey sours, but this drink was 10x’s better!
We decided to get an order of buffalo wings and I thought they were really good. Not really saucy, but had lots of flavor.
For dinner I ordered the Surf & Turf burger. Burger was cooked well, but wasn’t really impressed with the lobster mixture on top of the burger. I would’ve rather had bacon instead. Truffle fries are awesome, but went with just regular fries and asked for a side of garlic aioli for dipping.

Wings — 3 stars
Chicken nachos — 4 stars (and a big serving)
Lamb burger — 5 stars (sayyyyyyyyy what!!!)
Let’s stop for a moment. The lamb burger was soooooo good that I almost ordered it again today when I was there for lunch. Okay, back to the items on the menu.

There was a time that I duke of this place. I often miss those days of hanging out at the bar watching sports. Now, it’s dinner from time to time with friends. I never pass up a chance to go to Yard House!
