Wow. So after eating here I really don’t understand the hype. Let me first preface with the fact that my tastes lean more towards a young modern foodie. I view food as an experience. I want it to take me on an adventure. I like to try new and crazy things. This place was so far from that. Did the food taste horrible? No. It was good! But it was also something that i could make at home. And would taste just as good if I melted a stick of butter upon everything, as what was done to my meal. The environment was nice. Kind of a classy chain feel. Are they a chain? Not sure, but they definitely gave off that vibe. This seems like a place business men would eat at. Visually«impressive», food that is.food. And its quiet enough here where they could get down to business. We started with. well drat, I knew I should have taken a picture of the menu because its not online. I can’t remember the name although it started with an A and was something I couldn’t even pronounce. The description was very vague and said things that hit a note like«goat cheese, spinach» and another ingredient that now I can’t remember. It was the most different thing on the menu. Most everything else was typical. Calamari, buffalo chicken dip, philly cheese steak egg rolls”. So we ordered the fried balls things that I can’t pronounce. ha. It was good! But of course, what fried item isn’t? So, while good, not impressed. The bread the server brought out to us was a bit doughy. It tasted like it was ALMOST done cooking but not quite. This may be a deal breaker to some(my sister was very unhappy about it) but I actually love slightly undercooked items. Ew, that sounded weird. But its’ true. I like my meats as raw as I can get them, and super gooey, like, «Im questioning if i took this out of the oven too soon» baked goods. So the bread for me, was heaven. It came with an herbed butter. YUM. Meals: First off, the first thing that came out of our mouths, almost simultaneously, was, «Wow, they sure have a lot of risotto on this menu». Which is funny because we herd a server later tell their table that they were«known for the risotto». hm, interesting thing to be known for. I guess. I got the«Pan Roasted Chicken» subbed out my grit cake for green beans and my sister got the«Bonfire Burger». Pan Roasted Chicken was good, I won’t lie. But it was also just a roasted chicken breast with butter like POURED over it. The same goes for my green beans. I was stoked i got like a POUND of them. But there was so much butter on them it became ridiculous. I literally could have made this exact meal at home. I actually do, but a more healthy version, almost every night. My sisters burger and fries were highly unimpressive. Ive had better burgers, i don’t know, anywhere else on the planet. We were hoping for something spicy on the menu-nothing. They didn’t even have pepper jack cheese to put on this Bonfire burger. I guess it was named bonfire because of the smokey taste it had. All in all I was highly bored eating here. Nothing fun, nothing impressive, just, food. The only reason we came here was because we were picking up out pottery from Color Me Mine and now I’m sad we didn’t just go to Bankok Garden. But hey! If you are out on the town and just want food that tastes good then go here! Because like it said, everything did taste good. It just wasn’t my particular style of dining.

A party of 3, we arrived @ 1430 on Memorial Day to a mostly empty restaurant. Greeted nicely at the door by a tall, young guy and given our choice of tables. Our waitress was a 20-something, «B.» We ordered«signature» cocktails, which come in shakers, to be poured over a bit of sorbet. The drinks arrived 20MINUTES later, and then«B» mixed up which cocktails were to be poured in which glasses. We expected better for the $ 12 drinks. «B» had a habit of calling 60-somethings«dear.» We would have preferred a simple yes or no, if yes sir or no ma’am was not her style. Food was only OK: my burger was below average, and came overdone and w/o the ordered bacon; mother-in-law’s crabcakes were underdone and sticky; wife’s salmon was excellent. We’re local, and had heard good things about Burtons. Maybe we caught them«tapped out» after the long holiday weekend, but we don’t have any reason to go back.

Our family’s go to place for dinner. The staff is phenomenal and they are the best in the area dealing with food allergies/strict diets. My daughter and I have celiac disease and this is the only place I feel confident dining with. They have separate prep and cooking areas and cater to gluten free dietary needs with a separate menu and dinner rolls. The wait staff now feels like family and that’s not something you get just anywhere.

Where do I start. I am so glad my friend and I found this place for a late lunch. I had the filet which was melt in your mouth delicious, everything was hot and very good. My friend had the soup of the day and cucumber salad which he raved how good it was. I can’t wait to go back and try the risotto which sounded really good too. If you go ask for Grace to be your server, you won’t be sorry.

Superb food. Unilocal said it was good for kids so we took our baby and toddler; felt kind of bad when we saw it was so nice inside. The staff was nice. Waitress said her favorite was scallops and risotto. Definitely a delicious pick, I think Gordon Ramsey would approve. At $ 35 I don’t know that it would be a regular choice. Steak sandwich was really tasty, steak was easy to bite from a sandwich. Taking desserts home.

Went there for lunch with my husband and three year old. Beautiful décor and very relaxing environment I had the she crab soup and the California chicken sandwich it was wonderful my husband had a burger and salad which were equally as good. For the kids menu you get a protein and 4 sides at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be back soon we just stumbled upon it after shopping at total wine. Our waitress Grace was top notch did not forget a thing and was on point with everything

Upon entering Burton’s Grill, I was greeted by the hostess with a warm welcome and bright smile despite the gloomy, tornado’ish weather we were having. I’m sad I didn’t get her name but she sat me quickly and I also mentioned to her my boyfriend in a Navy uniform will be arriving shortly to meet me. And sure enough, she walked him to our table moments later. As she walked me to the table she inquired if either of us had a gluten allergy or if we were vegetarians because she had menus for those types of diets. I told her No we didn’t have either but that I would be more than happy to take all menus she had for me to peruse. She advised me that the gluten menu was just a modified version of the regular menu. I was impressed with the selection. Not too many things were removed or substituted from the regular menu. Since it was Restaurant Week and lunch time, my boyfriend and I skipped appetizers and decided on ordering from their restaurant week menu. I ordered their VERY flavorful, VERY creamy, and VERY perfect Pan Seared Chicken and Mushroom Risotto. Mixed in it was also roasted tomatoes and baby spinach. Now, I have to say that I normally don’t eat tomatoes that aren’t puréed, blended, crushed, or diced so tiny. Best believe when I tell you my plate was clean! I ate every morsel and I could have had seconds if it was a buffet! *Note: I have tried Cobalt Grille’s risotto and it was disappointing. Maybe lithe chef had an off day that day but it was tough to eat and kind of bland. BG’s got it down and they are definitely winning in my book! The boyfriend ordered the Classic Cheeseburger cooked Medium with provolone cheese. It came open faced with a side of perfectly fried French fries and a few pickles. It smelled delicious and was humongous! Once again, every bit of it was gone within minutes! Our server Nick was awesome! I still can’t decide which was better: his outstanding beard or his service.. He was kind, courteous, and prompt.

We had a great experience here. Great service. Really good food. Great pour on the scotch and good wine! We had a shrimp appetizer that was terrific. We sat in the bar and loved the atmosphere. We’ll be back soon!

This review is for 2 trips the 1st a company lunch for the holidays. In this visit we had a small menu to choose from my choice the steak with garlic mash and broccoli was awesome cooked perfectly the veggies were lightly steamed and well seasoned, the service was A1+++ and thus prompted a Saturday«tea time» with the wife. We sat at the bar and found the bartender a little off, took a bit to get drinks and had to ask twice for menus it actually took about 5 minutes to even get acknowledged even though she was behind the bar 12′ from us. Wife’s drink need correcting nit as ordered and this was done with an eye roll. The price for drinks was on par with others and the buffalo chicken dip was tasty. Between the two trips it balances at a 4 star the food is definitely a 5!

I was excited to eat at Burtons after talking with friends who adore the place. I went for lunch. The place is well decorated and very clean with an upscale attitude. The hostess was giving directions on the phone and was several minutes before even greeting us with a head nod. The waiter was attentive and down right flirty. I ordered the she crab soup amd Maxx Burger. The soup was some of the best I have EVER had. Wonders never cease, it was orange due to the crab roe. Most places give you white cream of crab bisque and call it she-crab…a huge no-no in my book. So the soup was seriously good. The burger, was average. You could have blindfolded me and I could not have picked it out of a line up from Applebees or Chilis burgers… very disappointing. The prices were on the upper end. My companion had the fish and chips which were very forgetable. Not bad. Just average. The lunch menu is very abreviated, as well, with limited choices. I wont go out of my way to eat there but wouldnt cry if that is where I found myself.

Excellent meal. I had a gluten free roll before dinner. Been at least a decade since I had bread with my meal! Great food, extensive gluten free menu and regular menu. Great wine, good beer. A repeat for sure!

I had the most amazing experience here the other day! Honestly, I didn’t even plan on going here. I just wanted to get a bite to eat and leave because I was a cranky preggo. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was a sign that said«Gluten free beer.» Really, I immediately felt like I was in some hippy place where a bunch of annoying young people would be. The hostess asked us if we even needed a gluten free menu or a vegetarian menu… really?! Well since I practice neither of those things, I laughed and told her no. We walked into one room and finally seated in the middle room in a booth where I could actually get a view of the kitchen. It was surprisingly quiet in there and thank the lord I have a well mannered four year old or else it would have been a crap meal. There were no other kids in sight and honestly my husband, son, and myself were the youngest ones there. We always get dressed up to go out because that was how my husband was raised, which I am thankful for because this was not a casual dress place! Our waiter was amazing and very… no he was extremely attentative. He never once let our drinks run out, nor did he let plates/trash just sit on the table to pile up. We all ordered our food and I was dis at first. I was craving a Ruben with Au Jus… they did not have the sauce on hand and I was very disappointed. The reason they said they didn’t have it was because the day before was Superbowl Sunday and they sold out of it. At that point I was very upset and I was ready to leave, all of a sudden the waiter comes back to the table with a small bowl of mushroom broth soup or something. It was honestly the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten with a Reuben before and I told him to tell the cook that it was awesome. My husband got the fish and chips which he said were melt in your mouth delicious. And my son got the kids meal which consisted of chicken tenders, French fries, apple slices, carrots sticks, & frozen yogurt all for less than $ 8. All of his food was delicious except for those chicken tenders which I refuse to also eat. They have a wonderful option for children to be able to pick their own main course item, dairy item, vegetable item, ect– which I thought was really cool. After we all ate he packed up all of our food and asked us if we wanted dessert. Well the other day on Unilocal talk I ask them if there was a good key lime pie in town and nobody seemed to mention this place. So when he started naming the different desserts the first thing he said was key lime pie and my husband blurts out«yes!» to the pie. I was really sketchy about the pie, but once we got it and I tasted it it was like heaven. A $ 9 slice of heaven, but it was like heaven. Overall I had an amazing experience my waiter was atentative, and my food was delicious. I definitely recommend for anybody else to go here so long as they don’t have a screaming child, a good amount of money in their pocket, and an empty stomach!

«A friend is one who takes you to lunch even if you’re not tax deductible» As an Interior Designer, one of the perks of my job is to go to lunch with product reps. One of my favorite places to frequent is Burton’s Grill. I love their branding, interior atmosphere and the food is always impressive. My absolute favorite dish is the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto.(pan seared chicken tossed with a creamy risotto of artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes, spinach, fresh basil, feta cheese and lemon butter sauce, drizzled with pesto) The staff is well spoken and extremely attentive. If you are looking for a place that will impressive. I highly recommend Burton’s Grill.

Dinner with my mom, we did a search for seafood and settled on Burtons. Good service and good food. Fancy restaurant, you could do well to bring a date here. I chose the salmon picatta which was a really big piece of salmon over a very lemony angel hair pasta. Quite yummy, very well cooked, a good sized portion. Yum. Mom chose the fish & chips. While the batter was a little greasy, she peeled all of that off and ate all of the very flaky and tasty fish. And the fries. Not so much of the cole slaw. Someone managed to forget to bring his wallet *cough* and so I have no idea how much it cost.

Our sever Brian was great! He was very knowledgable and attentive. He told us about the specials they had and explained a the dishes in detail. I ordered the«Backyard BBQ burger» has chips, BBQ sauce, cole slaw, and cheddar cheese. I loved the different textures with the coleslaw & chips. Perfect balance of flavor with the sweetness of the BBQ and saltiness of the cheese. Brian hooked me up with all the condiments(Sriracha included oh yeah). My boyfriend ordered the«Maxx Burger» which has BLT packed with crispy onion straws and Burton’s special sauce. YUM. The fries were great too! Came out hot and fresh and crispy. We ended up cleaning our plates :)

The husband and I just hit up Burtons Grill on the first day of VB Restaurant Week 2014 and we were pleasantly surprised! To be honest, Burtons was not our first choice. It wasn’t even our second but luckily both of the restaurants we picked were closed on Sunday. I’d been meaning to check out Burtons(my frequent visits to Michaels) but because it’s a little far from where I live I just kept forgetting. I loved the inside of the restaurant. It’s a nice spot, pretty romantic but not at all pretentious. The restaurant had comfortable booths with tall partitions for private conversations. From where we sat I could see a tall wall of wine bottles and my husband was able to watch the reflection of the bronco/chargers game coming in from the bar. So basically it was win/win for date night. He got to watch the game and I got to enjoy a nice romantic dinner. The restaurant week food choices were pretty respectable. I went for the she crab soup which was excellently seasoned, the petite filet au poivre and the chocolate torte. My husband ordered off the regular menu and went for the house salad and a burger. He’s kind of particular about his food sometimes and often times loads it up with salt and pepper. There was no need this time. He even told the waiter how perfectly seasoned everything was. I’m not sure why but my waiter didn’t ask me how I liked my steak cooked and I think he probably guessed and told the kitchen medium. Luckily it was still tender and flavorful. They butterflied the filet. Oh the travesty! By the way. if any one makes me a steak it needs to be rare/med rare but closer to rare. Kthxbai. Also … for a au poivre I kinda expected more pepper. No problem though because they had a pepper grinder at the table. The grilled asparagus was tasty and nicely charred. I didn’t care for the potatoes as much. They were ok but not the best I’ve ever had. I was so full after my first 2 courses(plus a few french fries off my husband’s plate) that I ordered dessert knowing that I’d probably end up taking it home. The chocolate torte is sort of like a very rich and decadent fudge-ish shaped into a wedge. It was really very good and I’m planning on taking a few bites for lunch today. I’d definitely recommend checking Burtons out. It will be added to the list of date night joints for us. Ok. Almost forgot(how could I???) the beer list is huge and full of local craft selections. If you know me at all. you know that is awesome!
