My husband and I ate in here earlier this week and i loved the food. The staff were super nice and the food is amazing. It came out fast so we didnt have to wait long and the waitresses checked on us multiple times which was nice and we were able to get a soda refill to go.

Pleasant wait staff. Food is sub-par. Portions are large which means you will only leave more food on the table after you leave. TV is on Nick JR, the average age of patrons is over 50yrs old(no kids in the restaurant)??? The place is clean and the menu has a variety. Good luck if you dare venture in this joint. I really like to spend my money supporting local establishments(mom & pop businesses), so it bothers me to write such a poor review. :-(

Love this place! The one on Holland and this one, equally amazing customer service. Super clean bathrooms, fast grill, cheap diner eats perfect for this Sunday afternoon. My little one got an adult meal of a burger and onion rings and crushed it. Chicken salad had a little too much dill but a little salt covered it up.

Friendly service and nice menu of various dogs and wraps. I am crazy for hot dogs and eat them every chance I get. These had a nice snap but I found them a bit lackluster. The chili was bland and Luke warm at best. The onions were a bit limp which is a dog killer for me. I like my produce crisp! Friend had the chicken wrap and raved about it. They served crinkle cut fries and these were decent. Nice portion size. Not a bad place but not the crazy dawg heaven I was hoping for. I will give it another try as the 757 is bit of a dog desert.

Ok I’m giving the extra half star for being a locally owned small business. As others have observed, the highlight of this place is the wonderful customer service. Even when at their apparent peak volume and busyness, the small staff has a smile on their faces as they sprint from table to table. The slow spot is at the grill but if you want a burger etc in a minute, you should probably go down the street to the mass production venues like BK(gag), These aren’t gourmet burgers and dogs but in my humble opinion, they’re worth the wait for fresh prepared. By way of suggestion, Uncle Al could benefit by ditching the Oreta style bags of frozen fries and going for some fresh cut. Prepped in advance, they don’t take any longer to cook up and for anyone that has had the In-N-Out burger experience, well I dare say the effort would really punctuate Uncle Al’s menu. Lastly like all local business, there is a certain quaintness with this place, The little decorative pieces or the old fashioned bent nail puzzles and peg games made a lunch sitting at the bar a delight for dad and the boys.

Good dogs with a nice snap to them! I chose the Reuben dog, which is something I’ve never had before. Grilled sauerkraut and corned beef on top of a hot dog? Yes, sure! It was pretty good! As well, I had it with a Chicago dog that wasn’t perfectly traditional — the tomatoes were chopped and it had cucumber bits instead of a tomato wedge and green relish. But the taste was good and I enjoyed it. Fries were fresh, hot and crispy. Done perfectly, they scooped up a copious amount of ketchup. I’d totally return!

To be a place that specializes in hot dogs, you would think that the hot dogs would actually be good. I have had better at 7 – 11. These were all shriveled up and overpriced. If you want a better hot dog, go to a gas station. This place sucks.

Today was our first visit. There was a sandwich board out front that had the specials of the day on it. We sat at the counter and were immediately greeted. After a few moments of studying the menu we were asked if we would like to order. I opted for the ¼ beef dog, fries & drink combo for $ 7.95(from the specials board) The hubs got a foot long(we shared the fries and drink) Our food was ready for us lickety split and tasted great. The prices were in line with every other hot dog place I have been to.(see the pics of the menu I posted) I do want to note that the lady cooking the food is NO slacker. Once things settled down(no orders coming in) she could have taken a breather, but no instead she cleaned up her area, filled napkin holders & etc. KUDOS!
