You get what you pay for. The bartender was blah and the nachos. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and everyone else was closed. A bourbon and Coke is all that I needed. The drink was strong but a bit overpriced.

This is my favorite bar. It’s like«Cheers» for my buddies and I. I could easily go the Strawbridge Location since I live closer to it but because of the community we have at the Kempsville Location, I can’t give it up. My favorite bartender’s are«D» and Kat, always know how to make my Happy Hours and long nights worth it. Food is pretty good for bar food. I’ve been going here for 5 Years and plan to forever. Had some of the best nights here. (PS Most specials of the food specials other than Happy Hour are great after 10pm)

I only come here because the restaurant side is always empty. All of the fun activities seem to take place near the bar where they allow smoking. I don’t find this very considerate for people who do not or cannot be around smoke. Today’s service was bad. We walked in and no one was there to greet us or seat us for about 5 minutes … we SAT ourselves down… Waitress had zero personality and behaved as if we were inconveniencing her.

We were there around 6 pm on a Saturday evening and there were very few customers. My husband ordered the fish and chips. He complained that the fish was dry and requested a new entrée. They used to have one large piece of fish, but it changed to a few smaller pieces. I ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. They were not bad, but I have had better at other restaurants. We will probably try another place the next time we want fish and chips or crab cakes.

The glasses are the cleanest I have ever seen. The service was quick and we were in a group of nine. My first time here and I have to say I enjoyed it!

Haven’t been a big fan of kellys … But my choice of food today changed that. Had their chicken enchilada soup and OMG!!! Amazing Hot and Hearty! And only $ 5 for my lunch and I was full. You have to try this soup… one of the best enchilada soups I have had!

Ugh. Just went to Kelly’s attempting to get a bite to eat because I heard their burgers are awesome. Too bad we got seated and spent the next 20 minutes watching the waitresses sit at the bar and giggle. Keep in mind there were only 6 other people(2 other tables) in the restaurant. And by the looks of it, they had been waiting quite a long time for either their food or to pay. Is there anyway to give this joint no stars?

Kelly’s is near my mom’s house, so it’s a convenient place for us to eat out when we have family in town. It’s not the most adventurous place to eat but it works well for when we’re in a big group with kids. It’s casual and the menu has a lot of options, which is important because half of us are vegetarian and some of us are picky. Also, whenever we go, there is not a long wait. There may be a reason for that. While the food is pretty good, the service is a hassle. It takes forever to get your food(I realize we have a group of 6 – 8, but often we’re one of the only diners in the restaurant. We’ve given it a few chances, but it’s definitely a pattern. If we do get our food, we are usually waiting on something(like catsup or utensils) so we can’t enjoy it hot.
