A required date location for my wife and I for each VA Beach visit. The Hawaiian Pizza we get has a unique twist on the standard ham and pineapple. There is a spicy/tangy sauce drizzled on the finished pizza that gives a unique flavor that is complimented by the sweet of the pineapple and the salty ham. The place can get really very busy during the vacation season and weekends… but as you can also get it to go, it is always worth it. Side note: there is a side business that serves gelato and such, and has a pretty good breakfast sandwich and espresso.

Meh pizza. The pizza prices seemed reasonable, but we were charged nearly $ 4 *per* soda. What a rip off. Two sodas cost as much as half of a pizza!

There was a wait, but they offered outdoor seating with no wait, so we took it. My partner and I came just because of the name. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread, chicken bacon ranch pizza, pepperoni pizza and tiramisu. The garlic bread was beautiful and delicious. The chicken bacon ranch pizza had some potato chips on it. It was badass! So crunchy and salty. So good. The pepperoni was just a pepperoni pizza. Nothing special about it. The tiramisu was great. I look forward to eating here again.

I ate here several years ago, but when I did the pizza was really good. Unique variety of toppings offered. The bar tender was very friendly and engaging, sharing drink recipes she had experimented with. Drinks served were tasty too.

One line summary, food was fresh, hot and tasty enough, but the service was lack luster, I suspect you’ll see that in all these other reviews also. So, decided to come here in the dead of Winter, so I wouldn’t have to contend with the out-of-towners. On entering, it’s definitely nice to look at, wide open spaces, lots of warm colors, and some chef’s up front doing what they do. A modest bar is on the back wall, which is where they put me. So, if you’re going to sit me at the bar, in general, I like someone to occasionally chat with, it’s kinda why I sit at the bar. There were two folks at one end who the manager seemed to know very well and the bartendars were there about 10% of the time. They didn’t provide me a napkin/utensils(I grabbed some from another table) and there were signficant(10 minutes was the longest) gaps between check-ins(for drink refills, to see if I wanted dessert, etc…). The food. Now, maybe this is because I grew up near Philly, but when I order garlic knotts, I’ve got my mind set on something crammed full with garlic. These were really just bread knotts. They weren’t bad, they just weren’t garlicy. Also, they were served(unceremoniously) with a plastic tub of butter that was just slapped in there. It wasn’t melted(and at the time I had no knife, and couldn’t find someone to ask for one) so I just would stick a knott in there and let it melt some butter. Now, the Short Rib and veggies, that was a solid dish. Butter knife cuttable, nice portion size and crispy veggies really hit the spot. They also did a great job on my cannoli’s. Pizzeria does nothing spectacularly well, but it also doesn’t do anything horribly bad. If its close to your hotel, it’s fine for dinner, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to come here, plenty of other options on the strip for Pizza or Drinks.

This is within the Big Italy area. Very cute atmosphere. We went in thinking we could just get a slice for a quick lunch but it turned out to be a sit down restaurant. My fiancé and I split a small the Mac & Cheese pizza, which was pleanty for the two of us. Our waiter tried to get us to order something else but a small pizza had 8 slices in it! That was a good size to share so don’t let them talk you into more if you don’t want to end up with taking alot home. Would have liked to come here for dinner but ran out of time. Will probably try again next time we are in the area. If you get the Virginia visitors guide or stop by the concierge at your hotel(or at least across the street at the Hilton Garden Inn) there is a 10% off coupon and a buy one get one free gelato for next door!

Came in for a late lunch on an overcast September Saturday afternoon. Service was quick and personable. Ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza, beer and a peach Bellini. Overall everything is going well! Sitting outside and enjoying a calm day on Atlantic Ave. The pizza is awesome. My man is in heaven right now devouring the large almost on his own! Will for sure be back next trip.

This will be short and sweet. It is nothing special pretty much a normal pizza joint with a fancy name to get people in the door. Service was ok and the selection of food was good

I could not disagree more with some of the post. The staff went out of its way to make sure our family was well taken care of. Food was well prepared and severed hot. Manger even gave us free appetizer for coming in.

So we tried pi once again hoping last year’s lousy service was due to being a new place. This year was worse. We waited over 1 ½ hours for our food with two 6 year Olds in tow. The food is OK but not worth the wait. My husband ordered a pizza and that comes from a different kitchen so his came out an hour before the rest of ours. Not cool. They need new management in the kitchen and out. Our server was wonderful and I felt badly for her because none of it was her fault. She had a manager remove most of our bill but we never saw said manager. Evidently all her tables and more were complaining. Even if it was free this restaurant is crossed off of our list for good.

i was there the 3rd week of april and then recently went back end of june. Both times the pizza was mediocre and it took FOREVER to come out. i think the place is cute and it was right across from where we were staying but it just wasn’t i was expecting tasted really generic and the calamari was ok. i usually don’t eat on the strip when i go to Virginia beach and this place didn’t change my mind at all. I’m not saying we will never go back but i doubt if this will be first, second, or third choice. its still sorta new maybe it will improve.

Horrendous. Don’t come w kids, expect to wait forever. Location is great, however: Waited 40min to be seated while 3 outdoor tables were open, the waitress told me, «well it is because the kitchen is running behind.» I should have stayed away… After we were seated there was no water, menus, cutlery, or any attention from any staff for approximately 35 minutes. After the menus were dropped off the waitress disappeared for another 35 minutes. I ordered a salad and the group I was with ordered approximately four different types of pasta. She came back after another half an hour and every time we asked her how long our food would be she would reply, «five more minutes.» She then told me that they did not have any lettuce and that my salad was canceled but never offered a menu until I asked for one since my food was no longer happening. The piña colada was good, but even thru the rum this place missed the mark. After spending approximately 2 ½ hours waiting for food, we decided to leave. The waitress outside was slow, inattentive. This place has too much on their plate and that plate is void of any food.

Lunch time 1230 on Atlantic Ave next to the beach. Didnt get attention because we did not have our clothes, manager was present but did not come to the front to address issues. Restaurant sat 3 parties before answering whether seating outside was okay. Service alone is horrible, have not tried the food yet.

Went for a Memorial Day weekend trip to VA Beach. We remembered eating here several years ago BY(Before Unilocal) and thought it was good, so we went back. Not as good as we remembered. The food was just very blah — plain — like someone accidentally dumped a can of «BLAND» on it, except for my pizza that had burnt cheese all over the UNDER side of it. There are several other restaurants in the area to choose from, and I’m disappointed I wasted one of our weekend getaway eating-out meals on this place.

Went here Friday night for dinner. I ordered a pizza and hubbs ordered the Carbonara. We started with garlic knots. The food was really good. The pizza sauce had a little kick to it, and I loved it. Hubbs Carbonara was amazing. For dessert we shared a mint chocolate chip Gelati — so rich and creamy. We will be back.

Service there was perfect. Ruth was always available, never intrusive. Food there was good, nothing exceptional, but good… like Olive Garden but without the breadsticks. If you haven’t been there since June, you should go back. Serious expansion! More private tables and an ice cream shop in the back.

This place is connected with the Big Italy restaurant. Here is review I gave of my experience at Big Italy & Pi-Zzeria During our visit for lunch we ordered pizza and Mac & Cheese for the kids, overall the meal was very enjoyable. The mac and cheese was particularly good. That same day, we stopped in for dinner. Unfortunately I can’t say we enjoyed the dinner as much as we did the lunch. The linguine with clan sauce I ordered was tasteless and the clams were sparse and very dry. There was no bread offered as part of the meal… they actually charge you extra for that. Service was a bit on the slow side during dinner hours, and several tables around us called for the manager to complain about the wait for their meals. Lunch time crowd is smaller and we didn’t have to wait long for service.

This place is a standby for when we stay at Ocean Beach Club, especially during off season when not much else is open anyway. Thank goodness it is a decent place to get pizza or pasta, sandwiches and salads. Pizza here is pretty good, not New York style, not Chicago style, but something in between. Last visit we ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and it was really tasty. The crust is just right as far as I’m concerned, which means it’s foldable. The sauce and chicken were absolutely yummy and I would definitely order it again. Also tried the mozzarella fritters and they were delicious. I knew I was being bad by eating all that fried food, but they were so good I couldn’t help myself. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. Friendly servers and fairly fast service. They have several TVs plus a full service bar. We were there during the World Series but none of the TVs were showing it, so we asked for it to be turned on and they were more than happy to comply. You can also park in the parking garage behind this place and get your ticket validated, so bring it with you and be sure to ask!

I am a believer that there is no such thing as bad pizza. However, I have to say that pizza here is not very good: greasy, stingy on the toppings, and(deal breaker for me) soft crust. Adding a generous amount of parm, Italian seasoning and hot peppers makes it better. But they get an extra star for great service and nice venue. After a long afternoon of beach volleyball, I thoroughly enjoyed my cold Diet Coke, air conditioning, and TVs showing the Olympics. And thumbs up to the waitress for splitting the check for our group of four without a hassle. FYI: I saw a sign on the street that says there’s parking for this restaurant(I think 34th Street)…yay!
