I’m not really a fan of their chicken teriyaki. Somehow, I don’t really like how the chicken tastes, but the teriyaki sauce is okay. But I do like eating the chicken katsu with rice and the stir-fry veggies. That one is my favorite dish in the menu.

Okay, for what it’s worth it’s not bad. Quick easy standard fast Asian food. The chicken and rice was good, but my biggest problem was the stir fried«veggies»… Aka just cabbage. I think I got maybe 2 slithers of an onion and ½ a floret of broccoli. The rest was just cabbage. Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE cabbage, but idk who cooked it, but the cabbage was so gross and chewy, I legit had to spit it out in my napkin i couldn’t chew it any longer. That being said, I think id come here again, minus the cabbage.

My husband and I were in the area so we decided to try this place out. It was completely dead at 1130 am so our food was prepared quickly. When we sat down we noticed another patron(or so we thought) sitting down. This guy was watching something on his phone so loudly that we had to talk loudly to hear each other. That’s when the cashier girl went and sat with him then a few minutes later the cooks sat with him. Apparently he was a worker. To me, that shows zero respect for the patrons. Also, to add to the negatives, they were out of noodles(they were only open 30min) and had no lids for the cups. The food was pretty good with a good charcoal hint and crispy vegetables. The food is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars.

When this place is actually open the spicy chicken bowl with brown rice and mixed veggies is good. More times than not when we try to go… it’s never open. So annoying Not many kids options

The egg rolls were very delicious! Great customer service skills to the young gentleman named Tyler. I also had the chance to interact with Shawn and Steve and they were very friendly and informative about the food they had. Would recommended to anyone wanting something quick. It’s also in a great new location with up and coming restaurants.

We got the wrong order, they were very nice about it and corrected it. However the quality of food here is much like from the frozen food section. Extremely salty in wouldn’t recommend it. They are fairly new so if they are around in a year i may give them another try.

First time bringing the family here, first thing I noticed was it had an awkward smell like the trash needed to be taken out. The«Vegas» music was way too loud, I had to raise my voice to talk. I ordered the double protein plate with tofu and teriyaki beef. The meat portions are fairly small but the portion of noodles or rice you get with the meat is huge. The chef seemed irritated when he knew he had to start cooking. Vegetables are pretty much only stir fried cabbage, I got 2 little pieces of broccoli. That right there shows me that the quality of the food is bare minimum. I don’t think I will return, I would rather have Hibachi at the mall because the food here seemed as if you can make it better at home. Expensive for the price as well.

Okay so unlike many people, I am rating it under its own category of fast Asian food. Do not compare this to a sit down sushi or Japanese restaurant! You order in the front and wait for your food. Compared to other restaurants in its category, this is by far the best in the area. Kinda reminds me of Hawaiian barbecue(which pairs so well with their Mac salad) and of many teriyaki fast food places in so cal. Use the sauce on some kalbi ribs if you have any left over sauces. The portions are huge! Only thing I didn’t like we’re the stir fried veggies. They were undercooked and crunchy cabbages. Hard to chew and eat it. The chicken was juicy and tasty so I didn’t mind the veggies. Also, the chicken katsu and orange chicken were so good! Probably my new go to restaurant if I want to pick up dinner or too lazy to make it!!! The military discount of 10% is the icing on the cake.

Sorry, but to me, this was a pathetic version of Asian food. Really not any better than going to a McDonald’s without a drive-thru. The food was edible, but there was nothing good to say about it. The service was about what you’d expect at any fast-food joint. Disappointing.

Ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl with white rice. I wasn’t too impressed and I’ve had better. You get what you pay for. Food was fast and convenient. I would suggest that you sign up for the text alerts to get good deals on their menu items!

Not super impressed with this place. I wasn’t sure what to expect here. There was no one in the restaurant when I got there, so my food came out pretty quick. Unfortunately I chose the one table with gross sticky stuff all over it. Their teriyaki sauce must be blasted over everything, cause it was all over my chicken and gooping down the side of my bowl. I think the person at the table before me had the same issue. The food was fresh enough, I rather liked the brown rice. The broccoli I chose was fine; the chicken was lackluster. It was a mix of dark and white and had zero flavor besides the sauce. I also tried the dumplings, they were so fragile that the bamboo chopsticks ripped the sides off, just by picking them up. They also didn’t taste like much. There is no wifi here, but you can pick up Zoe’s from next door.

Quick order Asian food, no sushi. No complaints as long as you understand what you’re getting here — protein and carbs. Get on it. I went with the orange chicken and veggies on top of brown rice. It was tasty, but better with a squirt of Sriracha on it. Nice gal at the counter who was more than patient with the customer in front of me who had some real issues with their decision making processes. Food didn’t take more than five minutes to be prepared. Parking is a serious problem here. You’ll end up with a street spot if you’re lucky.

This place was pretty good. It was my first time here and ordered the Spicy chicken teriyaki with Brown rice and stirred fried veggies. It wasnt that spicy, but it had a small kick to it. They have 2 different sizes: a bowl or plate. I ordered the bowl and it was more than enough for one person already. They have many different choices as well, it just depends on your preference.

I was excited to try out this place. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. It was ok… my chicken was in large pieces that needed to be cut. The flavor of the chicken was good though. The rice was plain with no seasoning whatsoever. Overall, the meal was good. I will probably be back to try out something new.

Did you know that Teriyaki Madness was started in Las Vegas? I experienced the«madness» on a Sunday before church and as a recommendation from a friend. I tried the spicy chicken teriyaki bowl and my boyfriend had the beef teriyaki bowl. Last minute decided to add an order of chicken spring rolls. The experience: My chicken egg roll was still FROZEN in the middle. The spicy chicken teriyaki was good but the rice lacked that hibachi grilled taste that was looking for. I tried a bite of the BF’s beef bowl which is the equivalent of a gourmet beef jerky. Food is VERY salty. Do not come within 100 yards of this place if you have high blood pressure. The décor is red, black and white. Very clean and new. Cashier was friendly and food came out promptly. The area is still being developed so you have a beautiful view of some construction and a storage container next door. My recommendation is to save your money and do it correctly at a hibachi style restaurant.

This is my third time eating here… and this round is the worst. It smells like a barn inside and I’m pretty sure they nuked my teriyaki bowl before it came out. I even purchased their crab rangoon and it wasn’t anything special at all. None of the food has flavor this time and it’s all mushy. This place won’t last long and this rate. Update: I was going to bump this up to two stars since the cashier asked how everything was. I let her know how I felt and she said she noticed that the food was looking pretty bad… yet she said the cooks didn’t know who cooked the vegetables. That alone told me that my theory on this being nuked was true! How do the cooks not know who cooked something?! Now the real reason I’m not changing it from one to two stars, even with an apology from the cashier, is the fact that they still gave me the food that looked bad. Welcome to Teriyaki Nuked Madness!!!

Another in a long list of «We’re trying to be the Chipotle of insert your particular food genre here». This particular location still has a little growing to do, in that the cashier(I think?) didn’t get all of my order, that, or I completely misunderstood the 1.2.3. ordering system. Basically I think she missed my side. The meal was a little flat. I ordered the Teriyaki Beef on Veg. The bowl came out and was COVERED with brown beef. But, it was a little odd, like it was cut a little too perfectly? It felt mechanical. Underneath was the steam veggies, dominated by cabbage with spatterings of the smallest broccoli florets I’ve seen, some squash and I think onions? Anyway, the meal was very one note. Lots of sweet Teriyaki(I don’t know what I was expecting at a place CALLED Teriyaki Madness). But it was missing salt/spice, something to cut through all that sweetness. I did add a little table side soy and siracha to help. Ideally, I’d like to see the beef pieces coated with different seasonings. Teriyaki madness might be good in a pinch, but I think they need to really work on their spices to meet my pallet preferences.

Not bad for the price! My mom & I stopped by to grab a quick Linner meal — lunch/dinner. We ended up sharing a 2-meat«plate», where you choose 2 meats — the choices are chicken Katsu, chicken teryaki, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, Orange Chicken, Beef Teriyaki, and Teriyaki Tofu! We chose the Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu(breaded & fried). For the«plates», you get a choice of white rice or brown rice or all veggies as the side(no extra charge), or you can get fried rice or noodles for an extra amount(I don’t remember how much.) You also get the choice of a fresh salad, macaroni salad, or stir fry veggies if you get the«plate.» The place is simple, not overly decorated. I’m sure it gets really busy around lunch and dinner. It was kinda empty because we came at an «in-between» time. There was a woman who came in while we were waiting for our food — she ordered the potstickers & they were sold out. She was so disappointed and said that the only reason she came was to order potstickers! The worker said that some people get 2 – 3 orders of them at a time. They must be good. I’ll have to try them next time. Quality of food — ok. The chicken was juicy. I loved the chicken Katsu. The brown rice was ok, but my mom liked it. I’m not a fan of brown rice. The Mac salad was probably my least favorite thing. It was just a small side serving anyway. Noodles were hard. I would give this place another chance — I def have to get the potstickers to see what all the fuss is about!

This place has a little bit of work to do. First off, I kind of like the concept. Basically Asian food served in the fast casual Chipotle concept. Pick your protein, starch and veggies and out comes your lunch at the other end. But not quite. Instead of working down the line with a server putting together your bowl or plate based on your direction, you place your order with the cashier and then go wait at a table, presumably to have the kitchen whip up your order. This is fine in and of itself since that is how most fast food is done. However, with only three or four other tables in the restaurant, I had to wait over 15 minutes for my food. Not sure if they were having issues today or if they just haven’t worked the kinks out but if that is the standard then they need to improve… quickly. If they had been busy who knows how long it would have taken to get my food. As far as the food goes, I ordered the special, which was chicken breast in a spicy sauce over rice with stir-fried vegetables. I’m pretty sure the chicken was pre-cooked and not marinaded at all. Plus, I could tell the sauce was just dumped on it at the last minute while it was being reheated. The absolute best part of any teriyaki chicken, pork or beef dish is that the meat has a deep, salty-sweet marinade on it and either the grill or wok gets the edges of the meat crispy and caramelized. That is the money shot in the teriyaki business and I didn’t get any of that today. But the rice and the veggies were fine. That is what I filled up on since most of my chicken stayed in the bowl. I’ll probably give this place another shot since it is so close to where I live but so far things aren’t looking good. Maybe the yakisoba is the way to go.

Tried out Teriyaki Madness today for the first time. They just opened for business on 11÷1÷2014 in the new addition of the Landstown Commons Shopping Center.(Cross over Princess Anne from the«Main» area of Landstown Commons). I’d say the format of the restaurant is Quick Casual, kind of like a Noodles and Company style of format. A quick web look indicates Teriyaki Madness started in 2003 in Las Vegas, with currently about a Dozen or so locations mostly in the NV and CA area. They are franchising out and based on their locations map on the website, this store in VA Beach is one of only two Teriyaki Madness locations East of the Mississippi. The basic menu setup is: 1) Pick a Protein, 2) Pick a base, 3) Pick a side. I chose the teriyaki chicken with noodles as the base, and macaroni salad for the side.. I like that flexibility, you can mix and match it as you like… White rice, Brown Rice or Fried rice instead of noodles, etc. I also had an appetizer of Chicken Potstickers. Everything is cooked fresh when you order, so that is a definite plus. Everything tasted great and was well prepared. Focus is on fresh and Healthy! Great service also. I highly recommend and will definitely be back again!
