Super fun experience! We came here to do our Christmas card photo and it looked awesome! We have 4 kids and the boys loved the cowboy outfits and holding the rifles– couldn’t get one of them to stop grinning for the serious photo! They girls looked adorable too! The costumes are easy on and off– tying up in the back.

Ok… First I’ll inform you that I’ve been doing digital photography as a hobby for about 6 years. Yesterday my sweetheart surprises me with a gift trip to Virginia City. He offers to take me for a «Old Time Photo» together. So we set out to find a shop that will offer the digital images on CD to take home. Of The first of three shops we walk into was Garders and Bloomers. The first face that gets us is that of a young woman who is obviously tweeking on what is probably methamphetamines, with all the tell tale signs in her eyes and fine motor motions, and skin clarity or lack there of. I ask her if they give the option to burn the digital images to CD? She says, «no we do not do digital images and nobody in town does either.» Whoa!!! The«little lie alert» went off in my head. So I said, «oh, ok, I’ll think about it.» We left, walked down the street a bit stopped in at another shop, it was really busy, so we left there, walked up the other direction to Silver Sadie’s Old Time Photos, her sign said«Open 12: ish to 5: ish» it was 12:10 a girl quietly walked up, unlocked the door, walked in and flipped the«Closed» sign to «Open». We gave it a few minutes and followed her in. On the wall was a modest price list and a big hand written sign that says«Take your photos home on CD $ 30». I say«perfect!». She did a great job, quick, but took her time setting up our selected seen and staging us for the shoot. Silver Sadie’s Old Time Photos 116 S C St, Virginia City, NV89440 (775) 847‑9133

Had a family photo done here. Waited till we were done to tell us they were out of ink for the photo printing. Offered to put it on a disc for us. We declined. The told us they could send us the photos but had to charge us $ 2 for shipping. Bogus if you ask me. Why should I be paying more for your inconveniences?! We payed it anyway. Photos arrived damaged because they were put in a flimsy yellow envelope that had no protection or anything signifying it was fragile. Called the establishment about the matter. No one answered. I left a message and I’ve been waiting on a call back for 3 days now… this is ridiculous. I do not recommend paying $ 25 for a single photo. Won’t be back. There are other old time photo shops on the strip that I’m sure are better and actually take care of their customers.

Wanted an old time photo from our vacation. Drove from south Lake Tahoe to Virginia City on a tip from the Pepsi delivery man at the local gas station. We took a chance and fell in love with a small town. We happened to park I front of Sadie’s and quickly decided to take a chance on her. We were traveling in a pack. I mean there were 8 of us. And this included I 90 year old 2 autistic young adults and a perfectionist. The young woman in charge took it all in stride. She quickly organized us, got us dressed posed and produced beautiful family memories. Thank you for making our drive worth it.

We went to VC to take old time photos for our wedding invitations. Our number one concern was if the shop would give the copyright. We walked into a shop that had rave reviews and the girl at the front was so in tune with what she was doing on her computer, that she ignored us and our questions, acted like we were wasting her time and rudely told us that they didn’t sell the copyright. So, we left, crossed the street and arrived at Sadie’s. The owner immediately took control, got us dressed and had our pictures taken in no more than 10 minutes flat. She also gave us the copyright and sold us on her other products. Will definitely be coming back to do business with her again!
