Every time I go here, there is always a problem with my order, service, or wait time! This time it was with service and wait time. 20 min to be seated. no problem.but another 45 min to get our food? Our waiter was nice, but I don’t think he had very much experience. Our drinks came at different times, and so did one of our orders: (. I absolutely hate when they serve one or two people part or their whole order while the other people eating with u have to wait 5 to 10 min for their order to come up. I want to eat with everyone, not separate! That’s the point of going out to a restaurant. I only came back because I was invited. but I never come on my own. to many bad experiences!

You should never go to an Applebee’s and expect amazing food. This place has good food. Of the 2 Applebee’s in Visalia, I prefer this one. I have had excellent service every time I have been here.

Never have had a bad experience here. Yeah the food isn’t exactly five star restaurant quality but what do you expect… its Applebee’s. It’s more about a relaxed environment where you can just sit, have a beer and food with friends or family. I love the pretzels with beer cheese. Also love the drink selections. ALSO on a side note I once left my wallet at this Applebee’s with over 200 dollars cash in it. Didn’t realize until the next day. Came to pick it up the next afternoon and all my money and cards where in it. Glad to know that the staff is honest and actually turned in my wallet to management.

Enjoyed the wonton tacos but the verde nachos were a real disappointment. Our server was a bit of a fast talker for my liking but I think she was trying to be nice — offered a blessing when we left? Unfortunately dropped the check in spite of the fact that we told her since we were still eating we hadn’t even started thinking about dessert yet… oh well

Ok. I understand that this is a chain restaurant. But this is ridiculous, when i want to order a budlight with my family, i shouldn’t have to be asked to show my card. I am a 23 year old woman. I may look young but its common sense that im a over age. I am Twe-​nty-​thr-​ee years old. Disrepectful. All i wanted was a budlight and this waiter made me get my purse. Open my wallet. And get my id out. Done with applebees. goodbye.
But my salad was incredible. Fresh, cold, and tasty. But DONE

One word for this place! Disgusting! When I ordered «To Go» the girl that answered my call acted like she knew what I was ordering, after picking up my food it was completely wrong, cold and gross. All I ordered were two Chicken Alfredo pasta bowls! How hard is that order to take?! I will never return. Check your food before you drive all the way home and realize they just threw a whole bunch of nothing together and made it a «chicken pasta bowl»

Typical chain with over salted food. The price isn’t bad but my sodium was up high after dinner. Also not a lot of wine options. But plenty of beer choices.

Me and my girls thought we would stop by here for a few drinks, because happy hour is always good. Bar empty, walked in sat down, got pretty good service. Asked to move to a table so we could order food, was told yes. Moved. And NEVER got service. Staff came up to us and told us that «for future reference» we need to let them seat us. I’ve never had this bad of a service. Guess they don’t want the business.

Good food and good service, we thought they had half price apps on Sunday but that is only during football season

Kind of going between a 2-​star rating and 3-​star rating on this Applebee’s visit. Decided on 2-​stars because while the restaurant wasn’t extraordinarily busy … we had to flag down a random server and inquire as to the whereabouts of our appetizers. Food was decent — not «bad» but certainly not «delicious» either.

Giving the newly revamped Applebee’s
3 ½ stars. Never been a huge fan of this chain but we live so close by and it was one of those, «there is no way in he** I’m cooking tonight nights» so to Applebee’s we came.
Fresh new booths, clean, and new décor. In addition, there seems to be some new menu items.
I hate to admit this… but the food was actually pretty good!
Service was great as well. Don’t quote me, but we may actually come back one day! :)

I wanted to bring a group of 20 in and called ahead of time to let Applebee’s know. I was told to come on in and that there would be no problem. We were told when we got to the restaurant that we would have to wait one hour and 20 minutes to get seated. When I inquired why they told us to come in 10 minutes early but now we would have to wait, I was told oh well by the manger. As a result I will never eat at another Applebees again. If they can’t get their act together then they don’t deserve my business. The funny part is they acted like it was their first day on the job and maybe it was for Mr. «I am the manager and I don’t care who told you it was OK to bring business to my restaurant.»

This Applebees really lacked in the making of simple easy food then I’m sure they make over and over again so why should it be an issue? I ordered fish and chips and my fish was still frozen I didn’t complain due to a packed house and it really polite server but I would never come back to this specific Applebees again I’m sure has nothing to do with the brand or food but maybe what’s happening behind the kitchen.

Sat at the bar to watch sports, have a few beers and have dinner. Steve the bartender was great!!! Fantastic service and very friendly.
My dinner, chicken/​shrimp on a sizzling platter was tasty but lacked FOOD!
Ok size chicken breast, very few shrimp, potatoes and even the onions were lacking… I actually left hungry, even after a side salad with the meal. Had the same meal at two other Applebee’s, where there was ALOT more food on the platter.
Was going for 2 stars but opted for 3 because the service was great.

Sat down at our table and began reading reviews. Wow. I’m afraid to see what my experience is going to be.
Once we had placed our order we didn’t see our waitress until we got our food. Much like the other reviews. My food came out and I’ve attached a picture. Not very presentable. I ordered the Roma peppered steak.
The potatoes were completely cold and awkwardly textured.
The steak was not prepared as ordered. It was very chewy and cold as well.
The mushroom tasted and smelled strongly of ammonia. I didn’t have more than one bite.
With my experiences at many restaurants here in Visalia, I would much rather go somewhere else. I had a overall very poor experience here. This visit earned one star. I actually regret coming here.

I used to like Applebees, but I’m having more trouble all the time remembering why. They do have some fun dishes that sound really good, and then are usually either bland, overly salty, or just taste like they were frozen until they nuked it for me. Even the kid’s broccoli is really salty, I just don’t understand.
I will say our waitress Regan was wonderful and made the meal a pleasant experience.
