Ridiculous!!! Just called to order a plain baked potato and was told it would be 7 $. This is why I will never eat at this place. How stupid is that.

The food is okay however be prepared for toddler size portions even though you are paying well over $ 10 for a plate. The food will not blow you away but you can taste the smoke in the food.

Pretty good. A + for not being cheap with anything. Wednesdays are the best for lunch with pulled pork and sausage and two sides and a drink for ten dollars. Staff is always personable and they’ve never made a mistake nor have I had a problem in about 50 visits. I wish I could say the same about other restaurants.

I’m from out of town and I heard this place was good. boy was I wrong my meat was lukewarm(gross) the beer I got tasted like it was 10 days old. The dining room was dirty and there was not a fork in site. When I asked the guy behind the counter he had a attitude because he had to get a fork for me. This particular Dickey’s is horrible! I have ordered food here twice and both times I ordered the tanglers and BOTH times they were burnt!!! Also my chicken was dry as hell and had no flavor!!! You guys have a long way to go if you want to be competitive with other BBQ places namely my BBQ’s at home!!! SMH I can say that the Dickey’s in my home town has good food and staff is friendly!!!

Best bbq in town ! Love the cleanliness and warmness to the Dickies bbq in Main St. and the owners Kelsey Christi and John are so hospitable feels like a visit to a back yard bbq with family & friends, every visit. Perfect for large groups and great for families. I’ll be ordering their infamous baked potatoes next!

The Westerner with polish and brisket… Mmm. The owner John is very personable, talk to him, ask about what«isn’t» on the menu… Military discount!

Pulled pork and beef brisket is delicious. My two favorite sides are the baked potato casserole and the mac n cheese. These are yummilicious!!! Friendly service and great food. They also have crushed ice.

They ran out of turkey apparently«right before» we got there, but selection and flavor was good on everything else we had. Certainly big portions and kind/helpful employees and I love the soft serve dessert. The issues with this place seem to be with the management and their ability to maintain inventory of customer favorites + communicate that prior to customer ordering.

OMG. not just the food but service and extras too! Went in after a friend posted the baked potato and it was better then we imagined. We chose the brisket after getting a sample and it was the«icing on the cake!» Also ordered fried okra which we would suggest you go fit 4 minutes do they are a little extra crispy. Super suggestions given by the staff for the ribs and even given a sample… literally fall off the bone yummy! If you haven’t been to this one downtown you need to stop in!!!

YUM! So much better than the Bakersfield«Dickies» location I visited… I read the Unilocal reviews and steered clear of the S. Mooney location — choosing instead to eat at the Visalia Main Street location. Definitely the RIGHT choice! Clean, quick, pleasant, cool, and delicious!!!

the one thing common to all great BBQ is, well, that it’s BbQd in a BBQ Got a nice email from the owner, so I am upgrading my review… there process is different, but that’s ok

Was going to try dickies; but saw a dog eating in front of restaurant with his owner. Don’t get me wrong I like animals but don’t think it’s sanitary to have animals in front of an establishment that handles food they contain germs and other things that can Transmit disease and are unpredictable causing an healthy and in unsafe environment.

Had to double check that I was on Main st today. waited over 20 minutes with only two people ahead of me. Ordered the smokehouse salad, was served brisket which had been sitting out under the heat lamp since before I walked in and cold, and over cooked cold tanglers. When I mentioned this to the cashier she said«oh, but he just carved that.» No. No he hadn’t. The fat was already starting to congeal. We eat here often not sure I will be joining the rest of the group next time…

Promised to be a great experience with amazing food at an amazing price I followed the flock as we headed downtown Visalia for this meat eaters experience. Learning that this was one in a chain of Dickey’s lowered my expectations slightly, but nonetheless, I would drive on and perhaps discover the Phil’s of the Valley. We entered the establishment and looked over their fairly basic menu with typical but limited bbq style foods. I ordered the special of the day which included three short ribs, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, and a drink. The mac-n-cheese was thick and tasty, but made from a mix, not fresh. The coleslaw was equally thick, with much more flavor, and presented with a nice cold texture. The ribs, even with the added sauce(you have to ask), were dry and flavorless. I shared my food even tasting the same ribs from one of my peers, and still, dry. Flavorless. The price point is on key for the fairness of servings and quality. But this is one establishment I will not be returning to next year.

They desperately need to implement a «we are out of(item name) at this time» sort of sign. I waited for over fifteen minutes simply to get a, «sorry bro, out of spicy sausage». I’m sure you’re thinking, «so what? Pick another meat and move on», yeah? NO. I had all the time sitting in line to imagine and meticulously plan my meal, only to have my meaty dreams dashed. And this was my second visit to dickeys, their second chance to win me over, because the first time their bland, fatty brisket and watery beans didn’t do a thing for me. Sorry, Dickey, won’t be back.

I Had the 3 Meat Plate(Pulled Pork, Brisket, Spicy Cheddar Sausage) with Mac & Cheese and BBQ Beans. My wife had the Pork & Tangler Baker with everything on it, and that thing is HUGE. We tried all 3 sauces, which were all tasty. I mixed the spicy with the sweet which really made the pulled pork delicious. The staff were all very friendly with nice smiles, which made the dinning experience even better. Don’t forget the free ice cream cone at the end of your meal, or go the Root Beer float like I did. That’s free too! Well definitely be making return visits.

Friendly service from everyone. Food is good and portion size is fine. Lots of sides to choose from. They also have salads and huge baked potatos. Free soft-serve ice cream with your meal or you can buy one for .50 if that’s all you want. Their ice is «pebble» ice so you ice connosaurs can get your groove on. The daily specials offer substantial savings. Small patio out front is nice to use if it’s too crowded inside or just to get some fresh air. The line can be long during lunchtime so if you can get there just before noon or shortly after it moves at a decent pace but remember that poor guy behind the counter is slicing the meat as you order so don’t expect the fastest service. This is the first Dickeys I’ve been to and would not hesitate to stop at another location if this is the norm.
