my review is about Fugazzi’s catering. They took care of a very special occasion for my family, our daughter’s wedding. I feel so blessed to have Fugazzi’s on the team, they are as good as it gets. Friendly, professional and the food was outstanding. They also took care of the bar for us, which was seamless. Thank you again to Mike and his staff, our family is grateful.

The ambiance was nice and the food was pretty fairly priced, however the food was nothing special. I got the pesto and it just seemed very bland. They have great mule drinks though!

We love this place! We didn’t have reservations but they still took us in and the exit wasn’t long. The service was great and the food even better. Everything we ordered was just perfect. This is a place we will definitely be visiting often.

Service: Lunch Meal: California Bistro Sandwich w/sweet potato fries California Bistro Tough carne on a baguette roll, nothing special. Confusing sandwich, is it a tri-tip? Is it a Club? Sweet Potato Fries Soft and cold. Robot waitress that ask how the my meal is as she is already on to the next table. No worries, just not as impressed with this place as word-of-mouth lead me to believe.

The food is always good here. One thing I really like is their portions are appropriate, not too big. They also have a reasonable lunch special menu for around $ 8 every day. The atmosphere is current and trendy — business casual, I would say. I must say, each time I have been the service is quite slow. Perhaps this is their style, not sure, but when you only have an hour for lunch it doesn’t work. My recommendation would be for the wait staff to be a little more in tune to the timelines of getting the bill to the table & cashing everyone out. Possibly ask upfront if checks will be separate.

I enjoy there shrimp fettuccine, also there sandwhiches with fries are good. This is a good place to get together with friends if you happen to be downtown.

I’m visiting from Orange County and just stopped in to check it out and have a beer… I was blown away. I had to order and was impressed… Wow, Visalia has changed in 20 years and this place would smoke in the OC. The ambience, the quality of the fish– veggies-couscous– sauce, pricing, and service– by the manager, Gabriel, were completely unexpected. Honestly, to complain about anything related to this place says more about the customer than than the restaurant… This place is Awesome!

Cannot go wrong here! Perfect ambience, fair prices, great flavors! Menu highlights for myself: –Appetizer: Roasted Garlic Plate A mix of items you can build together including Bread, Brie cheese, walnuts, apples, and roasted garlic –Appetizer: Halibut Tacos I order these as my meal often. 3 tacos, super tasty!!! –Salad: Pear and Walnut Salad Tasty salad with blackened chicken and honey mustard dressing. Refreshing! One of their most popular salads. –Sandwich: Southwestern Chicken Flatbread Sandwich Flatbread with yummy chicken, a nice spicy sauce, corn and black beans, cheese. This sandwich is amazing!!! Worth the calories. Favorite Side: Sweet Potato Fries THECILANTROLIMESAUCE is to die for. You will for sure need extra. Enjoy!

Service sucked! The place only had 3 couples and the drinks were empty the entire time. The food isn’t good enough to compensate for lousy service.

Best food that I had while in Visalia, but I had to bring my review down a star when my tuna steak was ridiculously overcooked(it was tough and rubbery). However, their brussel sprouts and Spinach dip were amazing. Expect to take a while to eat here, though. Service is a bit slow.

I met a friend here for lunch while I was visiting family during the holidays. She loves this place, so I accepted her suggestion. I got there early and was quickly given a table. I ordered the old fashioned and it was good. I had the margherita pizza and my friend got some pesto dish that had good flavor(I think it was some sort of tortellini). We ordered dessert and we were told five minutes later that they didn’t have that particular dessert. they had run out or something. That was disappointing. The service was just ok. My pizza was good but nothing extraordinary. I really wanted to like this place with the same energy my friend does, but for me it was just OK. I will eat here if I am in the area, but it won’t be my top choice.

Excellent food, excellent service! Eating here was a highlight of my week. From the front door service was flawless, from the host to the server, they were attentive, considerate and went above and beyond. I went in for lunch and ordered the lunch portion of the Louisiana Shrimp pasta dish, YUM. Whenever I am Visalia I will be eating here!

The atmosphere here is perfect for date night or drinks with the girls. The lounge area by the bar is a relaxing place to be after work. The food is also aimed to please! They bring out DELICIOUS bread and dip to begin with. I ordered the spicy chicken chipotle pasta and couldn’t stop eating! It’s not really spicy, but the flavor is delicious! The spicy chicken wrap is also the perfect dish for lunch! The kids chicken plate was also really good! So why 4 stars? Sadly the steak salad with jalapeño poppers was horrible. It’s definitely not a salad. I saw the shocked look on our neighbors face when they brought it out. It’s a cold lemony steak topped with chopped cucumber and tomato… NO Lettuce! Avoid this dish at all costs! The service was blonde, friendly, and sadly pretty slow. But the good food and inviting atmosphere make up for any delay in service :) All in all, I will definitely be coming back!

Located on one of the busiest intersections in Visalia, Fugazzis is one of the best resturants in Visalia! There are a lot of restaurants in Visalia to compete with but i have always kept coming back here! Other resturants close by include Sequoia Brewing and Tazzaria. In my opinion Tazzaria is overpriced hooplah on a plate… definitely not worth it. Also Fugazzis has the Blue Room, a full bar which is better than nearby bar, The Phd

Went here for lunch. Got their spicy chipotle chicken wrap with sweet potatoes fries. By the time I got my wrap, it was soggy with no flavor. Servers were everywhere but I couldn’t get anyone to get me a refill. It wasn’t until I stood up and waved my cup around that someone from the back came to my table. NEVER again!

My husband and i came in during lunch. It was delicious. Very quick also. The waiters and host were very accommodating. They checked in on us several times. The food was inexpensive during their lunch special. It was on a tues lunch time. I highly recommend this place. Im not sure how the weekend would get since they do allow children. Which is great to know for my family nights.

I ate here on two occasions one was for a water polo meeting and the other just because. Both times were awful. The food was cold and soggy; they were slow on getting stuff in and out. Terrible experience I refuse to eat here ever again. I will say that the people working there were nice but didn’t care for the food at all.

Two stars(at best). First time at restaurant; ordered take out spaghetti and meatballs, and a small pizza. Really! Is this the best Italian that Visalia has to offer? The pizza looked and tasted like any FROZEN pizza! Crust was nice though but probably frozen??? Toppings(peppers and olives) weren’t fresh; likely canned. Very disappointing value for price. Spaghetti & meatballs weren’t bad but tasted American not Italian. Very nice texture and size of meatballs, but flavor was off… missing Italian seasoning and fresh garlic. Sauce missing garlic as well. Fairly prompt return on order. Over priced! Check out Rosas Italian restaurant in Bakersfield ca. Food is to die for! It’s authentic, fresh, and never overpriced.

Lunched here today. Upscale spot in Downtown. Despite no door greeter, quick recovery with quick seating and friendly, quick service. Assortment of breads with a dipping sauce showed up right behind drinks. Ordered the avacado, bacon and turkey sandwich served on a fresh, tasty croissant. Correct level soft rock playing away in the background, very pleasant atmosphere, could see a nice dinner happening here as well. Selection of 7 lunch specials at $ 8, something for everyone even if you don’t select from the extensive main menu. They do have a kids menu and kids would be ok, but this is not geared to be a family restuarant. Tons of awards on wall near door, so tjis place is not a secret. Recommended!

Voted best restaurant in Downtown Visalia for 10 years in a row! With this in mind, I just had to pay Fugazzi’s a visit! —-The Food — - Southwestern Chicken Flatbread Sandwich($ 12.50) — BOMB! Salty, sweet, and a kick of rustic boldness can be felt with this sandwich. The juicy, cilantro-limed garlic chicken is complemented with pepper-jack cheese, corn, black beans, lettuce, and tomatoes on house made ciabatta flatbread, all brought together with a chipotle aioli. Love the seasoned fries that come with it too. My only complaint is that it should be bigger in size given the price. California Bistro($ 13.25) — With such a terrific sandwich above, I thought the outstanding flavor profiles would follow suit on this California bistro, but was mildly disappointed. The quality of the product is obvious as Fugazzi’s uses beautiful, thin slices of Angus steak, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, thick bacon, and mayo on a toasted asiago roll. I felt the mayo wasn’t enough to pull the meal together as it was bland and slightly dry with each bite. Old Towne Cheesecake($ 6.25) — I’d put this NY style cheesecake up against any cheesecake ever and am confident it would be victorious. The silken texture of the cheesecake is almost magical and the buttery walnut taste is one of a kind. The graham cracker crust holds the integrity of the cheesecake to the very last crumble too. Glorious and something I’ll definitely crave later. Served with white chocolate syrup and raspberry, but ask for these two on the side. Xango($ 7.50) — A cinnamon and sugar coated pastry, deep fried and stuffed with cheesecake filing. Served with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel and white chocolate. They use the same cheesecake as above to stuff these tasty pastries so you know the end result would be fantastic. —– Conclusion: After trying most of the establishments in downtown, I’d say Fugazzi’s moniker of being the best in Downtown Visalia is well deserved – however if it was placed against some in OC, it’d be relatable to a Bj’s. Regardless, their creative and well-rounded menu is sure to cater anyone’s hunger. Can’t wait to try their pizza’s! Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card –Fantastic service –Their menu seems fixated on Italian cuisine, yet their décor suggests a New Mexico Feel. Kind of conflicting. I like the candles at each table though. –I dislike how the front door is set up so that when you enter the restaurant, it feels like you mistakenly stepped into the back of the bar –Don’t park on main street as it’s metered. Free parking can be found on adjacent streets. –Clean restrooms
